I rate this place 10/10. They worked super well with my dog when I took her in a month ago. Her training experience has been nothing but great. I would highly recommended this place for your little puppies. ????

Our puppy needed a lot of guidance and Phoenix was able to tailor the perfect solutions at every turn to help both him (and us!) acclimate to one another. Our puppy is now very well behaved in the house and has great manners around others. Thank you!!

Very impressed and grateful for their training I would say it’s top notch Briaun was very helpful and attentive as well as the staff! I highly recommend. When I first got my pup I instantly regretted it because she was so rebellious and disobedient but I didn’t just want to give up on her... She was so cute and love able so I reached out to them with hopes they would be able to help. They completely transformed her and helped her become a great reliable companion! If you want somebody to train your dog for service work or obedience this is the place you need to go Trainers are great, patient and loving.

In just a short time they increased my dog's confidence level, enabling him to move on in the therapy dog process. Positive and affirming, just what we needed! No criticism or negative reinforcement like other programs. They are experts in training service and therapy dogs and they love what they do!

The staff and owner are very professional, caring and patient. I highly recommend The Academy of Canine Excellence for anyone looking to train a service dog. Briaun and Jacob are really great to work with and are very knowledgeable about training service dogs, correcting bad behaviors in dogs, and in helping choose the right type of dog for your needs.

Paid a high amount of money for 5 short sessions. A short amount of time later we were still having a problem with the behavior. When I called the trainer in a panic, she recommended we rehome our puppy. We are continuing to work with our dog with another trainer. Not worth the money. Would not recommend.

Great trainers of service dogs

The staff as well as the training is top Notch when it comes to helping train and find the perfect fit for a service dog. I have had summer my service dog for a year now and the training provided still is as fresh as day one. Thank you all so much for the the training!!!!

I needed a dog with a very specific temperament and disposition. I spoke with Briaun about what I was looking for and she was able to match me with the absolute perfect dog for Dr. Nancy Welsh. Pixie was transported from New Mexico to Kansas. They communicated with me through out the transport so that I knew exactly what time to expect her. We could not be more pleased with the service that we received from the Academy, and Dr Welsh is absolutely in love with Pixie!!

We have two rescues, one pit bull mix and the other a border collie mix heeler. They were very reactive to other dogs that we thought were an impossible distance apart. So we started going here, the owner and her staff are amazing, very nice, good trainers, and helped us train our dogs out of their reactivity. We are also now going through obedience training as well. This place is very professional, a great value for training, and the results are the proof.

Being trained by Briaun was great. I had two other service dog companies tell me that they couldn't train my Maltese poodle mix because she was wither too small or was too afraid of other dogs. Briaun accommodated both my busy schedule and my dog's issues. They were great about helping me find time to train my dog, and making me feel like I mattered enough to get my dog trained. They were a huge help, and did an amazing job at training my dog.

I met her through a different training program and it was immediately evident she was ahead of her peers. The prior trainer had used force and yanking my s.d to get him to heel, but she fixed it with a noise our first session. If theres an issue, regardless of the situation she will solve it. Her dedication to helping others will be her golden ticket to heaven. Thank you Bree!

Briaun is a very good dog trainer. Not only does she have doggy skills, she also has people skills! My pup loves her and so do I!

Very knowledgeable and professional trainers! Not only did they help me with training my dog not to bark and beg, but I have witnessed many of the other training practices they engage in. I was especially impressed with the firework training and service dog training. If you want results, this is the place to go!

Working with my service dog and these trainers has quite literally changed my life. My service dog is incredible and has already helped me extensively despite not being finished with his training. Briaun (the lead trainer) found me a dog that was perfectly suited to my needs and wants. Training has been professional and outstanding the entire time, even through Covid. She is always available and ready to help should I have any questions regarding service dogs and my rights as a service dog owner. Overall, this business and their trainers are incredible. I am greatly indebted to them for all the good they have given me through my service dog and his training.

I got a new puppy and needed some major help. I tried their online training program since I live in Colorado and travel a lot. REAL, LIVE, customized training, It's AMAZING!!! Not just some pre-made canned video download or packed generic group class. So happy I found this place.

I have worked with Briaun for less than a year, in that time my dog was able to accomplish his public access and canine good citizenship. A previous trainer could not focus on what the issue was and gave up on him. I highly recommend The Academy of Canine Excellence, she is dedicated to helping the dogs and owners.

My dog keto had a lot of behavior issues when we first got him. My trainer worked with him and I very hard to break those habits. He is now starting scent training to be a diabetic service dog!! I got lucky with my trainer and this business.

Briaun is an excellent trainer. She has the ability to know what needs to be done to help a dog and owner become a great team. She is calm and quiet in her training. I would highly recommend her.

Back in January, Briaun picked up one of my service dogs that i trained as she had a client who would be a best fit for him. She helped work on some of his issues and helped train new tasks that even helped save his new handler's life. She does amazing work and fits the right training for each individual dog.
