These amazing people who work with these multiple fur babies are amazing! Five stars! Great attitudes! Everybody i met, saw, watched was over the top fantastic. I can't say enough positive things to make it as clear as the experience was for me and my adult daughter. My daughter, ended up adopting a little boy kitten fur baby. His story was very sad but, he was happy and healthy( now, thanks to there hard work and love) I had to turn away when the tech came out and explained his journey, I literally had tears in my eyes. And his foster parent was there and explained a little more about his journey. This place is all love! I never thought my experience would be off the charts like this. I am not a emotional person and this was a total shocker! Wow!!! The whole building was first class and very clean. Better then any petstore, and we had been to 6 other places before we arrived here. It was difficult to get to because on road work being done on 2nd street but, figure it out! Totally worth it! Tell your friends, donate! They are worth it!

Adopting our kitty was a very pleasant experience. I recommend this shelter for adoption.

Our Lucy found her fur-ever home with us about one week ago and we couldn’t be happier thanks to the Bernalillo County Animal Shelter. The staff was excellent and patient in helping us find the perfect dog for our selective family. My only complaint in our experience would be the short hours of operation making it difficult to travel across town however that is very much an US problem. They took great care of our girl while they had her and we are very appreciative.

Great facility and great people. We adopted Tommy (now known as Casper) on 8/19/21 and he was 37.8 lbs. recovering from fleas and neutering. Just got back from the first vet visit a month later, he is happy and healthy at 51 lbs. I think the estimate of 60 lbs. full grown will be a little off, but we expected that. You guys are great! Keep up the wonderful work!

The staff was incredibly helpful and friendly. We were there to pick up my daughter and her newly adopted kitten. We not only got help on a Saturday while they were closed. The vet also came in and we were sent with the medication and supplies needed to care for the kitten on our drive back home to Montana. She's all better now and happy as can be. Thanks again for your staffs incredible hospitality and friendly help. ????

Bernalillo County Animal Care is a wonderful facility. All of the staff are kind, patient, and flexible. I’ve started fostering animals for them and the process has been nothing but positive. If you’re looking to foster, volunteer or adopt, I’d definitely recommend checking out their facility.

I adopted an adult cat from the bernalillo animal care center and it was a wonderful experience. I had an appointment and the staff was very personable and kind. I knew which cat i was interested in and they brought him out and it turned out to be a good fit! I love him I highly recommend adopting from here. Staff is awesome...animals are well taken care of.

OMG! What a wonderful place! Clean, modern facility featuring helpful, friendly, professional staff who helped me adopt my wonderful 6mo old Lab mix puppy. Named him Paladin and we call him Pal. They are truly a wonderful ABQ agency. So happy!

I stopped by this place to look for a lost dog and it was not open. But we did see a few dogs out side with no shad or water.....

I have adopted 2 dogs from here, always kind and professional. Dog kennels are always clean and dogs look healthy

The staff was very friendly. Each person we worked with was great. Took the dog back we adopted due to a very unfortunate accident. It was a smooth process.

Very clean shelter with lots of room for each animal. Staff is well informed, friendly, and any needed medical care appears to be carried out as needed with onsite vet.

I called Animal Control to pick up a 2nd very tiny baby kitten my neighbors found under their shed. The 1st one was being fostered by a Vet Tech who offered to foster and adopt the 2nd. I called Animal Control who directed me to Bernalillo Co. Animal Services to see if I could get the kitten back. Both ladies I spoke with were so helpful and kind! They advised that the kitten could be picked up as a foster, then adopted. I went to pick her up just a few hours after they had picked her up and the kitten had already been examined, treated for fleas and fed. They sent her with a really nice crate, scale to check weight, a heated snuggle pad, kitten formula, bottle and tons of cat food to share with her sister. The kitten seemed so content. She was up fussy and crying the whole night before. She will return for check-up and then be adopted. Honestly, I'm not sure what I was expecting, but it wasn't all of that. I was extremely impressed and happy. Everyone there seemed to genuinely care about the animals. A crate full of more kittens had arrived and several of the employees were surrounding it checking them out. Special thanks to Jolene who was especially nice and helpful!

This is a great facility. If I had to go to jail I would want to go to the dog jail it's a very nice place except for all the pets that are there. And the way they adopt out the animals now for a donation or more can you ask for? The staff was very helpful on the dog that I fostered and ended up keeping you seem like very caring people for the animals. And they put up with all my stupid questions which is amazing

I footed my puppy there last year. I just love him. Place is nice and clean and they are so helpful. Going back to get a sister for my other Dog
