Extremely rude on the phone.. wouldn't trust that with my pet

Good place, they do great for our dogs every time.

My cat is very sick!! He has pneumonia after boarding him for 11 days!! 10/18 to 10 / 29 And "Karen" is unprofessional yelling at me because im not vaxed !! Don't take your precious pets here if you love them!!

Prices are reasonable, service is friendly, and the only thing that keeps them from being 5 stars is that they use a very clunky paper filing system that adds a bit of time and inconvenience every time I have to drop off my pet. An updated reservation tracking system, or just a Google Calendar or something, would make this a damn near perfect place to board out pet.

If you love and treat your pets like family members I cannot encourage you enough to find a different boarding facility! If you have to place your fur children in a kennel - DO NOT being them here!. We brought our two beloved English bulldogs (in a very healthy state) after seeing our vet just 10 days prior to dropping them off at Academy kennels. When we picked them up 5 days later and brought them home they proceeded to have explosive and bloody diarrhea all over the house due to a parasite for several days which led to a $200 vet bill shortly there after. My fiancé was the one to pick them up and ask how things went and the owner was both rude and dismissive and had an attitude that she couldn't care less about her customers. When Academy Kennels was informed of what happened to our dogs....we received no response to our calls. .

Fun place too work every one seems nice clean kennels most of all the dogs make me happy love working with them

UPDATE; The owner contacted me even while on vacation in effort of attempting to resolve our concerns. They were very friendly and apologetic about the circumstances. After speaking with the owner,, I do not believe the circumstance that unfortunately took place with our fur babies is a typical scenario with this company. We absolutely DO NOT recommend this place! We are appalled and frankly furious! We left our three dogs here for 9 days while on vacation. First of all, my dogs were freshly groomed upon drop off. upon picking up our dogs all three were filthy, and reeked of dog feces due to having it stuck in their fur. Secondly, I specifically provided the exact amount of treats for each of my babies for their stay with specific directives on when to give the treats to our dogs. We were charged extra for providing our own dog food and treats, yet our dogs returned home with only a few of the dog treats missing. They were clearly not given to our dogs while we were gone. And worst of all our babies came home sick with diarrhea, one of them is scheduled with her Dr tomorrow because she is also coughing and vomiting in addition to the diarrhea for two days and nights straight! Our dogs had and have been fully vaccinated including Bordetella prior to check in at this place and my poor babies still came home sick from here!!

Our 3 kittens have boarded here twice. There was a large room available that could house all 3 kittens together. The staff is friendly, but the star is the delightful young lady at the front counter! She is very personable and has a nice sense of humor. What a nice person to have as your public face!

Everything went really good & Justin was so nice & helpful on the phone. Will definitely leave our baby there again.

My family and I stopped by for a tour. The facility is set up very well and the staff was very polite and helpful. We plan on leaving our four legged family members with them during our trip.

This was the first time I boarded my current dog. I was hesitant because she is dog reactive. She did beautifully under their care and they reported she didn't display that behavior. Based on her reaction to the office staff when I picked her up she really liked them too. I would board my dog here again.

We boarded here due to our regular kennel (New Mexican Kennels) being closed over Memorial Day weekend. They seemed busy and overwhelmed and that seemed to translate into inattentiveness. Our dog came home incredibly ill with diarrhea and was sick for 3+ days. He also had a cut on the top of his head that he did not have before which we believe he got while he was groomed. They also lost one of the toys we dropped off with him, which is a minor issue but still worth noting. We board him a few times a year and have never had these issues with a kennel/grooming service, even with other first time stays.

Rude, rude, rude. My dog came home super skinny. I will not board here again

Traveling through Albuquerque and boarded our dog overnight, to visit some area attractions. The staff was friendly and pleasant with me and my dog. It was a short stay, but she did well and I will use them again when I am in the area.

Groomer did a great job, but the owner who checked my dog in was argumentative and rude. When i reminded her that my dog had not eaten yet that day, she told me she would throw a handful of food in his kennel to see if he would eat. I would have removed him but we were going out of town for a family emergency and i didn't have time to find another kennel. My dog came home sick, i will not use this kennel for boarding ever again.

Great with my mom's dogs, especially after having a bad experience with a pet store groomers. Both of the pups look great afterwards

Always there when I need them. I've been taking my dogs there for over 5 years and are in good health and spirits when I pick them up. They offer play time and grooming. I pay the extra for the play time and believe it makes a big difference I feel they are well taken care of and I don't have to worry.

I love this place, they take great care of my animals. I highly recommend taking ur animals there as well.

This is the first time my husband and I decided to leave our precious Golden Retriever, Bailey, at Academy Boarding. I read all of the good reviews and decided to take a chance. Well, we were totally pleased from the first time I called and visited with Tracy on the phone, to the time we walked in to drop Bailey off, until the time we picked our girl up. The place is very nice, clean and the staff are super friendly and helpful. Bailey had a good time there. We will definitely be using Academy Boarding in the future, if needed. We highly recommend this place. Thank you Academy Boarding for the wonderful experience! ????

Very Friendly! They take great care in working with our pets, whether its an over night stay or grooming.

Not only did stress out my dogs so much she got hge but also gave been through my dogs kennel cough if you love your animals don't take them here

They always do an excellent job giving my dogs a haircut.

The dogs were great and seemed to have a good time here. The grooming prices are a bit high, however.
