I was really looking forward to have a pleasant experience with this place, but it was the total opposite. I made an appointment about 2-3 weeks ago for my dog to get groomed and, today 06/04 I call to confirm and to ask some questions about the appointment and they start telling that I don’t have an appointment. I was shocked. As we continue talking she says that my reservation was for friday (today) not for saturday, and that’s when I got tight. I know for sure that I made my reservation for saturday cause that’s the only day when I have my morning off from work. I even marked the day on my calendar. I was annoyed as hell. The rep said that she was gonna call me after she confirmed with her staff about what happened with my appointment, she called me back saying that the groomer called me to confirm the date and that wasn’t true. I have my phone all the time, I even pick up when I’m at work, so I know for sure they didn’t call me. If it wasn’t because I called, I would’ve showed up there tomorrow to find out that they didn’t make my appointment properly. I just can’t express in words how annoyed I am right now.

If I could give a zero star rating I would. I made an appointment for my dig to be groomed at Bark and Purr and when I arrived for the appointment there was a poorly written note on the door indicating the shop had closed unexpectedly over the weekend and they would be returning that day. I waited 45 minutes to see if they would open, but no one arrived. No one ever called to cancel the appointment and after I left a voice mail explaining I had been waiting outside and asked for a return call - not one called back. Super unprofessional and disrespectful towards customers. Stay away.

Great place for your dogs to get groomed. Amazing staff and great atmosphere

I take my dog to daycare here two to three times a week and I have him groomed here once a month. The service is excellent and it's really great to support a family black owned business. It might be slightly more expensive than a Petco or PetSmart (were talking the difference between 3-6$ depending on the service) but who cares it's marginal and much closer to my house and way better service with way more love and care that you don't get from corporate places. they remember my dog's name and he absolutely loves going there they are the absolute sweetest! HIGHLY RECCOMEND!

Called to see if they had snout soother. They tell em they have “a variety”. I went in, they don’t have any.... clearly they don’t even know what that is, the response I got was “uhhh the manager isn’t here uhhh”. LASTY, THE EMPLOYEES AREN’T WEARING MASKS HERE. I found what I needed on amazon. (This place is overpriced as well)

I just dropped in planning for my puppy that is coming soon and saw a lady tending happily to happy dogs. She did not rush out to speak to me but stayed in, shared a hello with me and continued tending to the doggies, and then came out to greet verbally me, mask on. She patiently explained what I should expect, what to do to care for the pup, how to potty train etc and was very knowledgeable about even the vaccines that the dogs ???? should have. Turns out this was the owner. Cherry ???? on top she welcomed me to bring to puppy to meet her and not once pushed her services. With this of course I will return.

My partner took our puppy to get her nails trimmed and came back raving about how great it was. So great I was sad I wasn’t able to go too! He said everyone was so nice and took great care of our pup. Her nails came back perfect, she came home with a new toy and a powder bath finish. One stop shop! And all during quarantine. Thank you guys for being available to us and our little one. We are both terrified to cut her nails and so happy we didn’t have to!

Bark & Purr is so great!! We adopted Archie right before quarantine and he did not have a chance to socialize with other dogs as a small puppy. We started bringing him to Bark & Purr doggy daycare at about 6 months old, and they have been SO patient with him. His interactions with other dogs have improved so much. We are so thankful for the love and attention he receives there!! Thank you!

Don’t know what I would do without Bark & Purr. They take such good care of my dog and are so friendly and accommodating, best place ever.

I been going here for 2 years already and all I can say they are great with dogs. I’m that mom who doesn’t trust any groomers with my son! Bark and Purr has made me feel comfortable, secure and safe when they working on my Yorkie. The lady’s in the front are extremely nice which is a great plus for any dog owner.

We love the Bark & Purr Yonkers Staff... They're caring, professional and courteous. My Havanese Chewie is a handful and they've taken great care of her. Grooming is top shelf prices are very reasonable.

We love bark and purr! We moved into neighborhood 3 years ago and were pleasantly surprised to find them as we just got a young pup. He’s made the best of friends there and we feel very secure and at home leaving him there. He’s even stayed with staff on overnights and absolutely loves it. He gets depressed on days he doesn’t get to go. Such a nice outlet for him to socialize with other pups, exhaust his never ending energy and exercise for the day. Thanks b&p!

As over-protective cat parents we were so worried about leaving our cat alone for the first time. Jasmine and her team are incredible at making pets feel loved and pet owners comfortable! We loved getting texts with pictures after every visit and after a week away we returned to a spotless home and very happy kitty! I cannot recommend Bark and Purr enough!

Went in for some collapsible dog bowls and the associate helped me right away and I appreciated that she gave me water for my dog because I ran out of my house late and forget my doggies bowls

We love everything about Bark and Purr. We moved to Yonkers about 7 months ago. We began using Bark and Purr for daily walks for our French Bulldog Loui while my husband and I were at work. Loui had a really hard time adjusting to our move, at times displaying aggression and behavioral problems. The manager Jasmine worked with us to come up with a plan to get Loui happy, comfortable and adjusted. After taking up Jasmines suggestions Loui has returned to his normal self. Unfortunately we stopped his walks due to the pandemic, however, were happy to say Loui passed his Bark and Purr daycare orientation and will be starting his weekly daycare this week! We are very excited! We will also be using Bark and Purr to board Loui for a few days when our daughter decides to make her appearance any week now. Jasmine is making our expansion of our family and needs for Loui so seamless and easy, one less thing to worry about! Every employee at Bark and Purr is kind and understanding. Loui looooooves Selina. All the employees are true animal lovers and people you can trust your dog with. Every time we walk by, Loui try’s to pull us inside - that right there tells you what kind of relationship he has with the team. If you are local definitely support this business. They are great!

First time customer- Jasmine could not have been more pleasant and knowledgable.!!!! Bought my Yorkie a new harness and PetArmor plus. Very happy!!Will be back!!!!????
