I was calling around to different pet crematories as my family and I wanted a viewing prior to cremation. We wanted to make sure we were going to get back her remains and wanted to be there with her till the very end. The other crematories had a week wait and would have my dog in a freezer for a week... I didn't want that for her and found Pet Rest in Peace in Secaucus. They were able to make a next day appointment for us and even when we showed up an hour early- they accommodated us and treated us with kindness. He carried our dog, Hyori, gently and allowed us to watch the entire process. We received Hyori back after an hour and thirty minutes in a beautiful wooden box with a personalized metal plate. We also received a beautiful keylight, a lovely bookmark, and a Rainbow Bridge poem notebook. He was very professional and explained everything in a calm manner. My family and I never felt rushed despite being so early for our appointment. Thank you for treating my family and I with kindness and professionalism.

It's never easy saying goodbye to your pet but this place made it as manageable and simple as possible. Jose was kind, professional and very sympathetic. I got a beautiful urn and a plaque so I can always remember my sweet baby. I highly recommend this place if you live in North Jersey.

The man who helped me here was very gentle and kind. I was distraught and sobbing, but he reassured me to take my time and explained the cremation process, that he would treat my cat with respect, and that he would be doing it himself, which made me feel better. I have specific taste and he was accommodating to my preferences of how I wanted the box and clay paw print I got to look. I was treated with a lot of kindness and respect, and I know my baby was too. It made a horrible time a lot easier. Keekers was my best friend and it's a little easier knowing she was treated well even in passing. I highly recommend to anyone else going through this difficult time

Words cannot explain how thankful I am that I found this place for my Chihuahua, Princess who passed away this week. It literally took one call to have everything set up in such a beautiful manner and with the dignity that my dog deserved. Right from when i called til i picked up my Lilly, we were treated with such compassion and kindness. They knew that we were mourning a loss and even let us say our last goodbye to her before the cremation. They allowed us take our time and never once did they make us feel rushed.

Very thankful for the professionalism and care they handled the death of our Sabrina with. She graced us with 16 years of happiness and though losing her was so painful, the team at Pet Rest were quick and kind. She is now home in the most beautiful little box. Our dog passed away during COVID 19 pandemic. Despite this, the facility still maintains professionalism and shows compassion to their customers. They allowed 2 of us going in at a time, giving us privacy to say our goodbyes. Because of Covid 19, we left the facility and came back roughly in 2-3 hours to pick up the ashes. Jose was very helpful and made us feel at ease. He walked us through every step of the process. After the private cremation process was done, Jose gave us a small complimentary candle and a book of Love & Remembrance to help with our grieving process. Aside from our experience, the facility is clean and well maintained. They have a variety of items that are available to purchase to commemorate your pet. On November 5, 2020, my 9 year old Pitbull Terrier, Rocky, lost his battle with Osteosarcoma. I was very meticulous in finding a place that would treat my loving dog with respect & leave me with a peace of mind. I am EXTREMELY happy to have selected, Pet Rest in Peace Memorial Center & Crematory. I normally do not write reviews, but this place is incredibly deserving . Pet Rest in Peace is deserving of 10 stars! It exceeded all of my expectations. Despite being heartbroken, Pet Rest In Peace made the entire process painless and easy. I was met with professionalism, patience, compassion, words of encouragement, support & several different options in which to handle Rocky’s ashes. NOT ONCE did anyone try to upsell anything. I was just informed of the options & allowed to decide without anyone pressuring & attempting to take advantage of my emotional state. I also wanted to be assured that I would end up with just Rocky’s ashes. I have to say that Per Rest In Peace, provided me with the peace of mind that I desperately needed and wanted. I was allowed to accompany Rocky until the end. I left there without any concerns. Several hours later, I returned to pick up Rocky’s ashes. I would recommend Pet Rest In Peace to anyone & everyone who has lost a pet and wants their pet to be treated with respect & dignity. September 4, 2020 was a sad day for us as we had to lay our cat BoBo, 15 years of age, to rest. I want to thank Kirk, Sam and Jose at Pet Rest In Peace Memorial Center for making our final moments as gentle, kind and friendly as possible. The compassion that I felt, the patience that they gave, When your most favorite partner leaves you they will treat you like your family deserves. They understand how much they mean to you. The process they explain step by step. They guide you through. The place is set up beautifully. So calming. Lots of comfortable seating. It really was a small memorial/funeral for my baby. Jose really took care of us. He kept us updated. While we waited. Jose was so understanding, so kind. We enjoyed his company so much while we tried to put our heads together. Everyone was so surprised that I brought her home the same day. I was so grateful that when she passed at 1am I was able to call in the morning and arrange an 11am appointment. Thank you so very much Pet Rest! I love the Urn she is in and I love the care you gave her. I have recommended you to all my friends.

I lost my beloved 17-year-old pet cat, Blanca, about a week ago, the day it happened, I called Pet Rest and set up an appointment for the next day in the early afternoon. Don't let the exterior fool you, inside is a quaint little parlor to allow you, and other guests to view your pet one last time before being sent off to be cremated, which you can also view in a neighboring room through a window. The process took about an hour and a half for my cat, and was very affordable at around $220 for a private cremation. I received a beautiful wooden box containing the bag of my cat's remains, the box also has a metal inscription which you can write yourself. Though I feel bad for forgetting names, I do remember the comfort from the very friendly and accommodating employees that were there to ease me into the process. I would definitely recommend those who have lost a pet to come here. If I was to give any criticism, it would only be that I thought my cat's remains seemed to be treated a little rough after the cremation. I specified to not have them ground into a finer dust, and to leave the bones as intact as possible. This was followed, and the remains were not ground, but they were swept from the oven into the bottom of a separate metal tub on the ground, which may have shattered, or fragmented some of the fragile remains. I was expecting a slightly larger box, or container for the unprocessed remains, but they were still small enough to fit into a pocket-sized zipped bag which I'm unsure might have been because of the handling, or maybe it's just how little was left after the cremation was done. I personally was hoping to have been able to see whether a skull, or skull piece was left, but I cannot really tell with the current assorted fragments left condensed in the small bag. Though, perhaps I am at fault for not being more specific, this is more of a personal thing that not everybody will have. I would still wholly recommend Pet Rest to others for the affordability, options, and friendly staff.

On Sunday morning, I called Pet Rest In Peace and spoke to Kurt. He was warm and took his time answering my questions. He also explained to me what I should do if the inevitable happed at home during after hours. Which was helpful. My 16 year old Baby (Timmy) moved on to his journey that Sunday afternoon. I could not even gather my thoughts. We are a simple family and the service provided was perfect. I’m glad we found Pet Rest In Peace. Thank you.

Lost my angel Rosemary suddenly. I was able to drop her off immediately after calling, given a fair price on the cremation plus wooden box with engraving. The package was convienent for me because I lost my dad then cat within 3 months and was emotionally drained from making decisions. Cody was very kind and recepting even though I showed up in pajamas with eyeline running down my face. Their kindness was one less stress for me during a difficult time. I got to pick my angel up within a few hours but chose the next morning. The weekend hours were extremely convienent since her passing was sudden. I recommened rest in peace to any pet owner who considered their fur baby as a part of the the family. They took care of my angel and i am very appreciative.
