Our family and our dogs have been coming to Dr. Garruba at Nassau Animal Hospital for over 15 years. He has provided excellent care to our last 2 dogs and our current dog who we are training to be a service dog for our son. He gives you his full attention and wants you to feel comfortable. He is easy to talk to and listens. He answers your questions and concerns. This is not just when you are in the office, but he is accessible whenever he is working. He calls you back within a day. He is amazing!! I am so glad we found him many years ago. I highly recommend Dr. Garruba and Nassau Animal Hospital!

Simply the best and kindest care!

It’s perfectly safe. Their techs come out to your car to get your dog, then bring them back to you. You don’t have to move at all!!! Best doctors ever! I come from NYC just to see them.

The best service and care for our dogs for the last 20 years

My pups love Dr. Garuba! They get so happy and excited to take a "Ride" to see him and his great staff! They are never afraid and race in looking for their favorite doc!!

The act of pitching me additional services before the appointment even began (i.e.- shots, boosters, pills, tests to see if my dog is HIV Simian Ultra-Bubonic Plague-neutral etc.), took thrice (3x) as long as the appointment itself. Not exaggerating.... pitch was ~10 minutes, think the vet looked at my pup for all of 90 seconds to parrot the exact symptoms and diagnoses I'd found on Google....... the whole time, alluding to how much of a degenerate I am for NOT immunizing my dog for ADHD/OCD/HIV/HEP C/ICE T/HI-C... I'm sure it works the majority of the time (not sarcastic), but save the unncessary, passive aggressive guilt trip

I bring the pups I foster from rescue here and all the doctors treat ALL the animals equally and with the utmost genuine professional care! Highly recommend ????

I can't say enough good things about Chris and his staff. First off, Chris the head Vet there is more than a Vet. He's an animal lover and would do anything for your pet. I recently had some extremely bad news about the health of my beloved dog and she had to be put down. The manner in which Chris and his staff handled my situation was amazing. They were sympathetic and were truly sad and offered there sincerest condolences. Not only that but the next day, within 12 hours, I had a letter of condolence hand written by Chris himself expressing his deepest sympathy for my situation. I can't thank Chris and his staff enough for easing my pain in a situation that felt like it was tearing my heart out. They......without a doubt.......made me and my dog feel special and cared for. There is no other Vet that I would ever deal with in the future. Nassau Animal Hospital is truly a special place and without a doubt a different kind of Vet and I mean that in the nicest possible sense. For years, the vets and techs took care of our three cats. Could not be more careful and kind. Everything clearly explained. And it so obvious that everyone there loves animals. Wonderful office staff, too.
