Sweet, on time and very nice facility!!

It was a bit of a wait but nowadays what Isn't? We saw the tech for ear drops..my dog was done in a flash.

My puppy ate some mouse poison.. it was an emergency.. Dr Bowman was extremely knowledgeable, kind, and gentle. She explained everything in terms that I could understand and made both my pet and me feel very comfortable. My fur baby is feeling fine now.

Great friendly staff that cares as much as we do about our furry friends.

UPDATE: while we initially had a great experience at VCA, we ultimately felt compelled to change practices. The practice was sold, and I’m not sure if It was the new management or growing pains but the vibe just wasn’t the same. The vet we had originally seen had left, and thereafter we felt like we were treated as an inconvenience instead of a priority. After a pretty serious issue with our dog ,where treatment was delayed and initially dismissed, we ended up at pet emergency forking over $5k, for something that could have potentially been avoided with earlier intervention. In the end, both my husband and I just felt like we weren’t taken very seriously. I wish them the best of luck but we won’t be back. We moved to NJ from PA . Anyone with pets knows that it’s worrisome trying to find a New Veterinarian that will mesh well with your paw-crew. We were already familiar with VCA so we specifically selected Shrewsbury Animal Hospital due to their affiliation. My dog and Cat have both had wonderful service here. The technicians and front end staff have great customer service skills, phone skills, and overall pleasant demeanors. The doctors go out of their way to maintain communication and have wonderful bedside manner. This is not a big bells and whistles animal hospital, it’s an old school practice with a human approach to veterinary care.

Fair prices, often long waits

My family has used this facility since I was young. They took excellent care of our dog then, and they have taken excellent care of my cats and rabbits today. The staff is extremely nice and the doctors are very knowledgeable and caring. They took the time to properly diagnose my cat's asthma and put her on a regimen that would be safe for her. And they always do next day follow up calls after a special visit. I highly recommend Shrewsbury Animal Hospital.

They gave me back my baby to me in great health and spirits. Thank God for this place!!

You can't get better service, staff and just plain people skills than SAH.

This Veternarian Hospital is an A plus. Not only do they care about your Pets but they work with you on Vet bills. For people without Insurace on their pets they have programs with different levels of cost monthly to cover your Pets needs for the year. It is an extremely useful program. 5 stars.

Took my 2 pups in this morning for their pre-spay blood work and tests and on the way over, 1 of them had an accident. I walked in with 2 dogs and myself covered in the unthinkable. They immediately took us in a room, gave me waterless shampoo and paper towels to clean my babies. Then, took them in the back to do their tests and gave them a bath to wash off the rest of the stink. They took the time to wash off their leashes, provide me with clean ones and wee wee pads just in case they had an accident on the way home. Not a situation that ANYONE wants to be in and the girls here went above and beyond to make sure that everything was taken care of. They could have easily just done the tests and let us go on our way. The fact that they took the time to wash off the pups and help me out makes me incredibly happy that I chose them as my vet. I cannot thank them enough!!!!

Pets are family in my opinion. My family and I have been using and referring Shrewsbury Animal Hospital as one of the best if not the best in the area for over 20 years! Where do I even start... their communication is great from appts to bloodwork results - and their Doctors and Staff and so friendly, accommodating and informative! Dr. Orr and Dr. Matthews were fantastic and were upfront - not pushy - I could see their passion and experience to help animals especially my pup when I had concerns. They wanted the best for him! The staff texted me to follow up, I was contacted immediately by the Dr. about any concerns with his bloodwork and were just outright a pleasure to interact with. Thank you to the entire team there for treating my pup as if it was their own. We love you guys!!! Keep up the great work!

Dr.Orr staff is the friendliest and profession .Just love them!!

Do not go back to this hospital as now they are more about drumming up fees than taking care of our animal. The director Dr. Cianci who recently left the practice was a reasonable doctor, however the replacement D.r Frierich seems to only want to drum up business. I took my dog for an eye appointment and while we was there I asked for them to do a simple express of his anal glands and possibly give him some vaccinations he was due. Instead of being accommodating as was the case in the past Dr. Frierich refused to do anything stating that the appointment was made only to examine his eye. Furthermore he stated that if I wanted to make an appointment for the vaccines and anal glands I could make a wellness appoint which is a 100 to 200 dollar charge. Appalling to say the least and I will be taking my business elsewhere if profits are the goal.

I have been bringing my dogs here for over 12 years and the staff is wonderful. Impressed Walter I come here for medical care and also boarding and I am truly satisfied I love the team here great staff!

Going service. Friendly staff that are good with the animals. As with any veterinarian, a visit can be expensive!

Excellent and caring staff. They were very caring when we had to care for our cat and then eventually put her down. Very easy to set an appointment, either on website or phone, for when you are available. Dr Orr is amazing!!!!!

Stopped in Monday because iI needed to up my buddy with amoxicillin and clavulanate that he has taken for 3 yrs on and off with no issues.. i was told no problem bring him in Wednesday ,so i went picked up my buddy went to the vet to find they cant do anything without doing test or results from previous vet. !!!!!! COMPLETELY WASTING MY TIME ... I asked specifically on Monday??? can you do this. yes i was told. Educate your people, classic bait and switch routine with these people. Read all the bad reviews. Wish I would have read them first .I'm sure you will write some BS on how your receptionist didn't know.and you know better meds. non of which i asked for..... WHICH IN IT SELF IS BS.worst experience from a vet. I'm giving one stars because that's the only way it will let me post the review. Update chevy past away in Dec. 17yrs old great best freind. Guess shrewsbury animale hospital is so conscious they sent me a add to bring him in.again ....??realiy...worst place to take your pet. They have no idea what they are doing. Stay away from these people.

I am extremely disappointed in Shrewsbury Animal Hospital. I called at 8:45 am and I told the receptionist that it was an emergency call. Because my dog has been vomiting all night long and seems like he is dying. She said bring him over and asked how soon can I bring him over, I told her I will be there in about ten minutes, she said it is OK he will be taking care right away. TERRIBLE TERRIBLE TERRIBLE... check in with the front desk. I am sad and disappointed. The woman at the front desk was talking over the phone, I told her I am here for the emergency visit, my dog is dying, he didn't have much hope, she ignored me. Pleaded. I stressed to the receptionist that he had to be seen as asap, she couldn't care less. I told her I am leaving, she couldn't care less. And I left with my dying animal. That woman who showed no concern about my distress. I hope this person finds a different career.. They don't show compassion for you when you are worried about your furry children. Never would I ever bring another animal here. Unprofessional and unsympathetic staff, lack of humanity. No even a phone call to follow up if my dog still alive. Will never recommend this facility to any animal lover.

Love everyone here. My dogs actually get excited to come and see everyone during their visit. Always caring and thorough.
