Well was going to turn in a peaceful mannered cat and was told no because he lives in the Bronx . Can’t make this up . Only take in animals from certain towns . CLM CLM! Smh

My wife saved a little kitten from underneath a car during a storm. The staff was a great help, as they dewormed and cleaned her. We were able to adopt little Mellie, and she's been super excited now that she has a permanent home.

I highly recommend donating to the Humane society of Westchester. They are kind and courteous to their customers in need. Moving forward I will make regular donations. Great staff!!!!!

Recently refurbished and expanded, this is one of the friendliest and welcoming facilities I've ever adopted from. Clean facility, knowledgeable and kind staff, REAL pets in need (not a mill - woo!) and oodles of pet love make this Humane Society a pleasure to visit. Currently, appointments necessary for animal visit due to Covid. Forms found online - and check out the site while you're there!

The people here are amazing. So friendly. The facility is beautiful and you can tell they really do care about the animals. They gave me all the time to hang out with the kittens before adopting. I could not be happier with my experience here. So happy to welcome home my kittens today. Thank you all for being amazing.

Great newfacility for both the animals and those looking to adopt. The animal areas are clean and comfortable. If you're looking to be induced to a new 4 legged family member ask for Rich. Rich goes the extra mile for the animals and those looking to adopt. He's very knowledgeable and if he is unsure he will go find out the info you are asking for. He's a great guy.

I found them online as I was looking for a new cat to add to my household as my 14 year old cat passed away. They were very kind and the facility was clean and neat and all the animals looked happy. I adopted a new family member and I'm so happy with my choice of facility.i will make sure to donate to give them what they need to keep helping other animals find great homes.

There is not a better place to adopt a pet from. The staff here is friendly and genuinely care for the animals in their care. They will work with you to find the perfect pet and will continue to work with you after to help your pet and family all adjust to their new lives. Can't say enough good things! My cat, Neo, in the pic, and my late dog Lucy were from there. And now I'm fostering Nyla (Isles was her name at the shelter). The staff at HSW is doing everything imaginable to help Nyla adjust, including puppy training, so that she can become my next adoption.

Great experience with the Humane Society of Westchester. They were thorough with their process for adoption and I liked working with them through the appointment system that was necessary due to COVID-19. We adopted the sweetest kitten who isn't yet old enough to be spayed and they made sure we were set-up with an appointment when she's old enough. Would highly recommend working with them!

I took my Peekapoo to see Dr. Schwartzreich and Dr. Doherty for focal seizures. They were so professional and so thorough in their exam and even scheduled an abdominal ultrasound with an internist for her. Their recommendations were so helpful and my little dog feels so much better now. They were amazing!

White lady lady with glasses was very rude. My pregnant pup ran out and was brought to the humane society. We did everything to get her back. When I brought the papers in to sort it out this lady was trying to make it so difficult, she was being very aggressive and rude. Will be reaching out to report her behavior. It was uncalled for specially since my 3 year old nephew was right by my side.

I got my kitten there. I love her so much. She is the best thing ever. If you especially a pet this is where you need to go to.

I was amazed! The renovation is beautiful.. They have new rescues from PR and kitties available for adoption as well. Give a home to a senior dog, they need all the love they can get.

My mom adopted a kitten from Humane Society of Westchester and we loved our experience! Morgan and the rest of the team were absolutely wonderful. She was patient and very informative during the whole process. I would definitely recommend this animal shelter!

Beyond thankful for the Human Society of Westchester. Charlie got out of the yard and some kind people found him and HSW took him in for the night and kept him safe. We were able to "bail him out" from doggie jail the next morning. Everyone in the facility was amazing. Super nice staff. Thank you again!

Called for a friend who asked for adoption suggestion. Saw the renovation on News 12 and it was great. The pricing is not $ 500? Wow. Its a new day for sure, lol

I adopted my beloved girl Shotzy (black chow/lab mix) from there in 2000. She may be gone, but the NR shelter will always be a special place to us. Please donate to HSW and others.

Adopted our pitbull mix. At the time of adoption he had an infection in his bowels and they covered the antibiotics as well as any further tests or medicine needed as a result. Great people working there.

Amazing work. The animals are well kept. Follow them on Facebook to get all the updates on new kittens and to know about donations. Adopted one of my cats from here and neutering him was very accesible.

Best place to adopt a furry baby, please adopt don't buy, just visit them and you'll fall in love.

This place beats them all for every kind of courtesy when it comes to the care and adoption of their animals. Dana, who was the person to see when we adopted our previous dogs over the past 10 years has been simply awesome in every regard to the adoption process.

CLEAN PROFESSIONAL AND PROMPT RESPONSE! ADOPTION FEE WAS MINIMAL COMPARED TO OTHER PLACES SPECIALLY FOR THE BREED OF DOG WE PURCHASED! PEOPLE WERE VERY FRIENDLY ANIMAL WAS WELL CARED FOR AND THE ADOPTION MEET AND GREET WAS ALL IN THE SAME DAY! GOOD PLACE!
