A few years ago I left them a 5 star review, and I don't know what changed with them but they have become completely incompetent. If I could leave a zero star review I would. It took them 4 days to give me my cats test results, and only gave them to me after I called and asked for them. And when they did call they didn't even have the cats chart infront of them so the information provided was inaccurate until I pointed out that this didn't match the last results I had. Mind you this is the 3rd vet I had to help read a chart. One of the vets was too scared to touch my, friendly and sweet, cat. And every vet I have spoken to there has given completely and opposite answers/recommendations then the last. I will not be returning here and if you want good care for your animals I would recommend you remove your pets from their "care" as well.

I took my dog Lilly for an emergency visit yesterday because she was bleeding profusely from her right ear. Mel at the front desk was great. Dr. Iaquinto examined Lilly. She looked in her ear & cleaned it a bit because it was filled with blood, however, from what she was able to see, she couldn’t find a cut or an obstruction. I had advised Dr. Iaquinto that Lilly was going to Northstar animal hospital the following day for a 6 month echocardiogram and cardiology follow up for a heart mass she was diagnosed with. She asked if I wanted Lilly’s blood pressure taken, however she didn’t advise me I would be charged $48. I have never been charged an extra fee for a bp & I’ve been to numerous vets. It has always been part of the visit. I walked out of there with a bill of $546.70 with no dx & being told to have NorthStar look at her ear with a longer scope. I called the office this morning asking to have the bp charge refunded. Shannon called me back later & stated it’s normally not part of an emergency visit and Dr. Iaquinto advised no refund should be given. I work for doctors who treat their patients better than this. I think this is absolutely terrible and leads me to feel it’s all about the money. I will never return to this facility. Lilly’s cardiology and echocardiogram visit at NorthStar were cheaper than their visit. They didn’t even charge me to cut Lilly’s nails.

Dr. Weiner is an excellent clinician. He has been managing my dog’s diabetic care. He is patient and accommodating in terms of promptly answering emails, returning phone calls, and thoroughly answering my questions. He is highly competent and knowledgeable. Highly recommend

Not the best experience with doctor weiner who tried giving vaccines my pet had just recieved last visit due to negligence of checking the charts. Then proceeded to guilt trip and feed me fear over my choice to not spay my animal right away. Telling me my dog will get cancer or die. Overall unpleasant experience. Considered never coming back but I love the other doctors so I will avoid dr. Weiner in the future. Thanks

I brought my cat Gino in for urinary issues this week. The care we received from Dr Crawford was amazing. Just a few weeks ago my cat was there also for digestive issues. Dr Weiner was equally amazing. This isn’t the first time I have brought my cat in for an emergency visit. Each time he was handled with love and care from everyone there. Thank you to everyone there for the care you give my fur baby

I brought my 9 year old Yorkie mix here for a dental cleaning and they were so nice and answered every question I had thoroughly. It's always nerve-racking when your baby has to go under anesthesia but the vet explained the procedure and said my dog was in the lowest risk category based on his health history which made me feel so much better. I only wish they didn't have to shave his front leg for the IV ???? overall a great experience, will be bringing him here for yearly cleanings

This hospital literally saved my cat's life!! Dr. Weiner and Dr. Konigstein teamed up and found a cancer and removed it! I love this hospital!

I bring my Yorkie to the Lakewood location and I have nothing but praise for the vets and staff there. My dog is high-strung and aggressive, even after his pre-visit tranquilizer, and everyone is calm, patient and gentle with him. From routine annual visits to nail clippings (always an "experience"!) to emergency visits that resulted in extended treatment for a respiratory illness, the care, follow-up and professionalism have been top notch. Thank you, Dr. Iaquinto. You are a godsend for Max and that is priceless peace of mind for me.

The staff is courteous, professional and nice. Dr. Crawford is awesome. I had to take my cat Butler to him twice in one week. He helped my furbaby. He is feeling much better this evening. I want to commend Dr. Crawford.

I took our dog to have a simple skin tag removed and they quoted me 2000 to remove! I went to Toms River Animal hospital on RT 37 and they charged me 350 dollars! Beware of this place!!!

The girls who work at the front are amazing!!! They really are on top of their game. I have had two of my animals fixed here by doctor Erica Iaquinto & she’s just incredible. They are always so nice & really listen to your needs for your animals. I couldn’t say enough great things about this animal hospital or practice.

Extreamly nice staff and Dr's. Was able to get an immediate apt. Which was great because my cat was sick. They also have an online coupon for 1st time paitents that was a big help.

Had our 2 rescued 6 month old fur babies fixed. Been going there and the Fisher vet for 9 yrs +. Always a great experience and they treat all pets like their own.

I cant thank Dr Iaquinto and the amazing staff at the VCA enough. Even though we never met Dr Iaquinto. Dr. Erica and the VCA Staff were amazing. They treated Nicky, like I treat him, Like a family member. The Dr and staff were on duty on the snowy, frosty day and took great care to make us feel comfortable. Dr Erica explained everything and was patient and understanding. We are fairly new to TR/Lakewood area and could not be happier and more relieved that we found the VCA Ocean County.

Very friendly staff. Communication is good. Treated my cat very nice. Definitely recommend them to anyone with pets.

Coming here for years ,great service and staff

I took my cat there for a wellness check and rear leg lameness that started suddenly. They didn't let me inside and then told me xrays were 350. I took my cat to the vet today and the vet told me he has a huge mass behind his leg and that xray was 100 dollars. This could've been caught 2 weeks earlier. Terrible. Took an hour to get there and i waited outside for an hour and they sent me home with some medicine and a 90 dollar bill. My new vet let me feel the mass shared her concerns gave me options and I knew my cat was a good hands with the amount of care and attention she was giving not only my cat but me the owner and helped with pricing. Never would recommend this clinic to future or current cat moms/dads. Chain clinics will literally try to make buck off you. Be aware

We have 4 pets (dog, cat and 2 birds) and we wouldn’t trust them to anyone else.

I am new to the area and I needed to bring my two year old basset hound to the vet. Since, I wasn't familiar with a veterinarian in the area I googled the area and VCA Ocean County had the best reviews. I decided to take a chance and bring my dog in. I'm very happy I did. Definitely lived up to their good reviews. The staff is great!! The Vet treated my dog with great care. I do believe I have found a new Vet to care for my dog. Would highly recommend this practice!!

They were just lovely. I felt my dog was taken care of so well . I felt the doctor was so thorough. The doctor was very knowledgeable of all of my dogs medical need. She made me feel comfortable with my pets check up. VCA Ocean County Animal Hospital in Lakewood are awesome ! I would absolutely recommend them .

Excellent doctor's pleasant staff and very clean . Had an emergency while waiting for my baby Pomeranian gone seen and had seizure staff called emergency triage and quickly took my baby with tender loving care doctor was awesome and so knowledgeable for this emergency. Thank you and my baby is doing well see u all soon

Appointment was handled very professionally. I called in when I arrived, I spoke with the receptionist who got the doctor on the phone to whom I explained why I was bringing in my pet, the tech came out wearing a mask to take my dog in and not long after I got a callback from the vet telling me exactly what he found and what the treatment was. I love this group!

After deciding to change Vets I brought my Yorkie, Betty, to Ocean County Animal Hospital on Fischer Blvd. GREAT place! Dr Koenigstein was gentle and caring to Betty and the staff is equally as friendly. Will definitely continue to bring my Betty here.
