Had two pets spayed and neutered there even though they are cheaper than a veterinarian there are always hidden costs that they don't tell you about

I actually cried when I left here. After being a long time (18 years) customer, it is heart breaking to see the "new direction" (I was told this by the vet) Popcorn is taking. I loved this place and the vets, and even the cranky old woman who used to man the phones, boy I wish she was back. The old direction used to get on the floor with the animals and give them a good physical with touch. The new direction is only tests. And I was told by the vet the test would have to be outsourced because she wasn't comfortable with the equipment she had to use on premises. I actually looked at the friendly peacocks and wondered how long before they would have to go. I understand progress, but I will forever remember the love and caring of the old direction. One of the stars I gave is for the old direction. Plus the prices have gone way up. This clinic is no longer pet directed, but is now like every other business. It shows in the impatience of the vet tech, and the new rules established.

All of my animals go here. They know them well, and always are interested in doing what's best for them, not how much money they can get. Vin likes them too!

We've been taking our pets into the Popcorn Park Animal Clinic for many years. They have always received prompt and appropriate care. The front office staff and doctors are to be commended for their caring compassion and professionalism. We would not consider taking our four legged family any where else.

I was Happy with past visits. I called the popcorn zoo August 22 at 11:16 am to see if they had any openings for an emergency visit. I had taken my dog to Northstar vet Hospital the night before because he was having trouble standing and was not interested in any foods. I wanted to bring him to popcorn zoo because I felt comfortable bringing him there. But the receptionist was very rude I just called to see if I could bring him in. She rudely told me no and told me there were other places open I just had to call them. Okay I knew that already they were just first on my list. I understand that people have bad days. But the tone in her voice you would have thought I called 10 times asking the same question I was just looking for some help for my dog(my baby) a big part of our family. The receptionist sets the mood for the office for me. I haven't been there in awhile maybe things aren't the same there anymore. To the point I'm not sure if I even want to bring my Dog there for any future visits. My mother said not to let it get to Me but it did because I was very upset at the time I called. Her response was uncalled for she could have chosen a better way to handle the situation. I gave it a four because of past visits not for the current situation

This was the nastiest woman I have ever spoken too, I couldn’t find a single scrap of compassion or humanity in her words, but, maybe someone else can. So, I called because I found a little kitten really ill, at first I thought she had been hit by a car so I immediately rushed her to PriorityVet on RT37, they were phenomenal, they saved her life and told me to call Popcorn Park JUST for wound care, they had already flushed her wound and gave her antibiotics, I have FULL intentions of keeping this kitten and I told the woman this on the phone, I already spent like $500 on this kitten, I’m invested at this point, instead of asking me about the kitten: she straight up told me to let the cat die on the phone. I will never in my life classify this place as “humane” after the way I was just treated for trying to save a kitten. If I could give 0 stars I would, I will never in my life refer another person to this place nor will I even bring an animal here to die.

I love this place. They’re very accomadating, it is a small clinic but they do so much for you and your pets. I just wish they had more docs to help the ones here, not that they’re incapable but to help lessen the load a bit. Receptionists are always sweet when I come in and they’re helpful.

The price is right, but you get what you pay for. Most vets are caring, maybe not always thorough. Staff is hit and miss. We've had some outright rude receptionists.

I brought my kittens there to be neutered, and as per procedure, they weren't allowed to eat or drink during the night prior to their surgery. Fine. I did as instructed. I dropped them off the following morning, and when I returned to pick them up, they were in their (nylon fabric) carriers, and they smelled strongly of urine. I asked if they were given access to a litter box after their surgery, and they said no, that after their surgery, they were placed back into their carriers. In which they urinated, on the bedding, on themselves, and left there in their wet, stinky bedding, soaking through, until I picked them up and drove 40 minutes back home. They were heartless and careless, not even checking two little kittens soaked in pee after their surgery. I have been using this facility for neuter/spay for all of my cats and dogs for probably 20 years. Never again.

This clinic helps a good deal of animals and people who otherwise would have to go without medical attention. Kudos to the Associated Humane Society and The Popcorn Park Zoo!!!
