K9 Resorts Luxury Pet Hotel Fairfield, New Jersey

We've been boarding our two dogs here whenever we go on vacation for almost two years now, and I can't say enough good things about it! The pups have a great time. They are fed well and loved, and they come home tuckered out—obviously after having a great time. Our more social dog gets playtime with other dogs her size, and our less social dog (who prefers humans) gets playtime with the amazing staffers. They post daily Instagam photos of every single dog so you can see how they're doing, and they notify us ahead of time if they've had any issues with other dogs catching colds or anything else unusual. I appreciate the lack of cages and the individual attention on each dog, and the range of options for nail trims, food customization and more. Boarding here is not cheap, but it's worth every penny to know that the dogs are well cared for.

I have over the past 15 years used many doggie daycare facilities. K9 Resorts is by far the best. I also want to highlight and thank them for being open for doggie daycare on holidays. This is huge!! They are always there when I need them.

My dog does not run into the vet but leaves me for k9 resorts. The staff knows and cares about the dogs. They give you updates when you pick up your dog when you pick them up. All the staff is trained on how to deal with multiple breeds. All dogs are up to date on their vaccination and separated according to temperament rather than only size. I wish they had earlier hours because I can not find a daycare that compares to the quality I get there.

This review is long overdue. It is going to be lengthy, but since I always rely on other people’s experiences, and like to do thorough research before deciding on anything, I thought it might be helpful for some others like me. We always wanted a dog, but we used to travel quite a lot, and COVID lockdown seemed to be a perfect time to get accustomed, and figure it all out before things go back to normal. We got our first dog, the cutest beagle puppy, only 8 weeks old. Few months later, after talking to a lot of my friends, reading a lot of reviews, calling and visiting quite a few places, I decided to sign up my puppy for half days day care package at K9 in Fairfield. My first interaction was with Anna, she showed me around, and she was so helpful and patient with so many of my questions and worries. The place is so clean, and I loved that instead of separating the dogs by size or breed, they actually group them by energy and personality. My dog hates the collar (I know, I should make him ????), but k9 does not require them to wear one, and still they know every single dog’s name. They told me that every dog has unique personality just like people. I started taking Benny for half days once or twice a week, and he was so excited every time we pulled up in the parking lot. He always left happy and exhausted, and I very much enjoyed seeing the Instagram photos of him playing with all his friends. I know some other places offer 24 hours video access, but honestly for me it would be a distraction, because I would most likely be watching it 24 hours (lol) and stress even more. After almost a year, time came for my family to go back to traveling, and we were supposed to leave him for two weeks. I was so nervous, and sad, and worried about everything. Is he going to sleep, is he going to eat, will he get sick, will he miss us, will he forget his routine at home, and God knows what not??? My Benny was literally on his own little vacation while we were away. He had a blast! I emailed every day, and whether was it Anna, Andy, Nancy or Sue, every single time I got the response right back, with all the updates about how he is doing. The day we picked him up, once again I worried. Did he loose weight, did he loose his voice, is he a different dog now? He was exactly the same, happy, playful dog that we left two weeks ago! Today I took him for day care again, the first time after our vacation, and that’s what made me post this review. He was SO excited to go in, and see the staff, and see his friends- it was a definite confirmation that this is the place to leave my dog without anything to worry about! At times, I struggled as a first time dog owner. Anna and Andy always gave me tips and advice on how to deal with it. K9 knows dogs, they care for them, and they keep them safe. I am so happy I found them, and I am recommending to everyone!! Thank you, K9 Fairfield ❤️!!

Everyone is always very nice, when I brought my dog in I knew it was a toss up about whether or not she would like being there because was 12 when I brought her there but I did it hoping it would keep her young. They kept telling me she was doing great, but she developed a respiratory infection (in hindsight I think she put a lot of stress on her lungs because after pulling her out and reevaluating all of the pictures they posted I saw she was panting out of nervousness in every single one). Anyways, she was never the same after that, she was in perfect health when she started even for her age because she never ate kibble or dog treats. All her food is human grade and homemade. Ever since she was there & developed respiratory issues she has never been the same and been on constant decline which I believe was due to the stress she experienced being here & no one was honest with me about it. I just wish someone would have told me the truth about how she was doing as I trusted them to and thought they would because everyone was always exceptionally nice. A little honesty would have made a huge difference for my dogs health and life. She is 15 now but she's never been the same since she went here.

Sometimes I wish my husband and I hadn't moved just so our pup could still go to doggie daycare at this location! Our pup is a 2 year old pittie, we started taking him to this location when he was about 4 months old. Because of this place, our boy is a well-socialized pup today! The staff here, especially Anna, always took such amazing care of our fur-baby. He got excited the second we pulled into the parking lot! At drop off, he would run to the door and instantly forget about mom and dad! To say he LOVED his time here is an understatement. When he stayed overnight, Anna always updated us about his visit. Our pup never did well with kennels or crates so we opted for the suites, where each pup gets an individual room with a doggie bed. It also helps with the pup's separation anxiety while you're away. They feed the pups Blue Buffalo dog food, this is one of the best pet food brands that isn't grain-based. And with a 2-day stay or longer, pups always went home with a bath, which was so helpful and one less thing to worry about after getting home from a long weekend or vacation. When my husband and I were on our honeymoon, our pup started experiencing some issues and needed veterinary care. Without hesitation, the staff took care of the issue, and Anna called and emailed us about the issue and our pup's progress. Mind you, WE WERE IN GREECE! In what might normally be a worrisome situation, they made it a stress-free experience for us and we came home to a healthy, happy boy. I would trust this place with any dog, any breed, any time. I wish there were more locations across the country. We miss you K9 Resorts, and still love you!

Our dog Cooper loves going here. He goes for daycare and we recently used them for boarding to go on vacation. Marleen & Michelle are fantastic and really went above and beyond to accommodate him. Our dog has some separation anxiety and they did whatever was necessary to make him feel more comfortable for his week stay! Thank you K9 Resorts!

Lovely place they took great care of my elder fur baby who is visually impaired. She came back to us happy and not ready to go after 5 days!!!

K9 Resorts boarded for my dog for 13 days during the pandemic. She attended doggy daycare during the day, and as the only dog boarding at the time, she helped cover the phones over the weekend ;). The staff is caring, compassionate, friendly, professional, and attentive to your dogs needs. K9 Resorts will always be my first choice when I need to board my dog.

We love K9 resorts and so does our dog Cole. We use their day care services as well as boarding. We did a lot of research and made many phone calls before choosing them. He gets so excited when we pull up to drop him off

If you called other doggo daycares/boarding places and gotten a "no, sorry we can't take your pupper because ____" then your search is over. K9 is super accommodating to all situations. The digs are truly resort-like and prices reasonable. More than anything, you can tell all the people who work here truly love doggos.

Since i got dog he doesnt move at all he sits on a corner and dont move, not playing at all. Looks like he got afraid of something, he has a scar on his ear and got diarrhea. Im definitely going to my lawyer. Do not leave your dog to this people.

My two dogs stayed at K9 Resorts of Fairfield over this past Christmas break. My dogs had previously stayed somewhere else and I was extremely dissatisfied with the whole experience. They seem to really love dogs here at K9 resorts. Unlike the previous place, I felt like my dogs were actually happy and well taken care of here at K9 Resorts. I will definitely use them again.

Over the years I’ve sent my dogs to multiple dog daycare establishments. K9 Resorts in Fairfield New Jersey, has been my best experience so far. When I bring my dogs to K9 resorts, my dogs are happy, I am happy, and more or just as important is how confident I feel leaving them with K9 resorts. I truly am grateful for their professionalism and highly recommend K9 Resorts to any dog loving owner.

Outstanding service. Friendly, knowledgeable staff take a sincere interest in each pup....really. Very, very clean. Impressively well run. Whenever we drop our little girl off, we have every confidence she will be well cared for.

There is a lady called Anna at front desk who was very rude to me. Avoid that lady, she will bark at you. I will never take my dog there again because how poorly this person treated me.

The best doggy daycare/boarding in all of NJ! Our little pup LOVES going here, and we love knowing that our fur baby is being taken care of while we are gone. They really treat the dogs as an extension of their own family, they’re the sweetest people and super accommodating!

My pup lulu did not want to leave after a week of staying there ! Haha! Highly recommend this place. Very clean facility and super caring staff.

I would love to thank everyone at k-9 for making our first boarding experience wonderful!!!!!!! I was naturally a panicky mother because we never left my boy with anyone but family, but their excellent care and love for the pups made me feel so much more at ease. They kept in constant contact with us which was wonderful and gave us updates of how our boy was doing via email and pictures. Turns out he's quite the social butterfly and had a ball!!!! I would highly highly recommend k9 as their facility is immaculate and their staff is excellent!! Thankyou everyone at k9!!

Andy and his team are absolutely amazing!!! They treat both our dog and us as family. Payton loves seeing all of them!!
