I was referred to Ocean View by Mt Laurel animal hospital because they were at capacity. I called and the receptionist told me to bring my dog right in, she was having seizures on and off for hours. It was 11:30pm. My dog ended up passing away on the way down there, I called them back and let them know and they told me to keep coming and they will have the vet confirm her passing and talk about options. They were very compassionate and helpful and set up the cremation right away for me, also at a very reasonable cost. I am glad that they were there for me when every other vet I called turned us away.

Don’t bother. I’m not sure what it takes to be able to receive assistance but when my dog was not well and in distress, it seemed they did not want to even remotely deal with her unless she was near death. I understand critical cases need to come first but have they not heard of triaging? I went to Absecon Veterinary hospital who were kind and compassionate to myself and my dog. Within a few hours my pet had been seen and treated.

Brought my cat in after he started suffering from respiratory distress. First I was told he was fat and needed to defecate: then that he had pneumonia; then that he had congestive heart failure. They put him on Lasix and sent him home quite an unhappy cat. Following up with his primary, turns out that he actually has pancreatitis, completely treatable. The xrays that Ocean View took were apparently blurry. The Lasix elevated his renal enzymes, unnecessary as he had no fluids on the lungs whatsoever. The moral of the story? Take your animals here at your own risk, I suppose. It's not unusual for any doctor to serve their opinion, to umbrella and blanket most diagnosis with presumptive pretenses (i.e., lots of cats get CHF...it's really common, so - you're cat too!) It's also not unusual, apparently, to be charged exorbitant amounts of money to follow a prescription plan that ends up effectively poisoning your little friend because of misdiagnosis. Maybe they were just too busy for my little baby? You take your risk.

Horrible staff at desk. Lady said she was manager and continued to be rude when questions were ask. Multiple people told me not to go there because of ignorant staff , next time I will listen !

If you like being treated worse than a dog... Long waits for appointments, longer waits in the parking lot to be seen with an appointment. Discourteous and indifferent staff with little compassion or understanding. Exobident prices compound insult with injury. Arrogance is their only constant theme. Was a long standing client that has become deeply dissatisfied. They use COVID as a cudgle to blugeon clients into ridiculous and unnecessary precautions while the animals are just as easily capable of transmission. If you tell them you did not come there for abuse, they will ask where you normally go....and where's your mask!

Used to love it here but now the wait to get an appointment is weeks away and to been seen by doc the day of takes too long and isn’t worth it.

This was our first visit to Ocean View Vet Hospital. We suspected our dog had a UTI and wanted to get her looked at quickly to get her started on meds and on her was to recovery quickly! We went Sunday night around 8. I called a few times before we went and they suggested I wait to come in, as they were taking emergencies at the time. Once they said the weren't as busy with emergencies we went there, called ahead, and did online paperwork. Once there we waited in car about 20-30 minutes before being seen. The staff was all kind and made the visit a breeze. Our dog is fearful of men and people in general and I'm impressed with how caring and gentle they were with her. The doctor (can't remember his name but think it started with an H) was knowledgable and educated me on giving her an antibiotic that was gentle on her stomach- as he took into consideration that were were also dealing with some ongoing stomach issues. Thanks to the Ocean view team for a great experience.

We took our geriatric dog who is both deaf and blind to receive care on 11/12/2021. During the stay, our dog was put in a kennel for about 1.5 hours. Tonight, our dog had fleas everywhere. Keep in mind our dog is 15 years old and has NEVER had fleas in his life. He goes absolutely no where since he is very old. We called to let the vet know and they were very rude and were not helpful. We will never recommend this place to anyone.

I was spending the weekend in Cape May and had my elderly cat who has cancer with me because I can’t leave him. He was listless and needed to be seen by a vet ASAP. Ocean View was AMAZING. They spoke to me before I got there, took him in right away, and took great care of him. I am so grateful for this animal hospital.

We called Ocean View after our 10-month-old pupper was continualky tugging at his ear and seemed generally out of sorts. They told us that they would be able to see him, but it may take a while, as it was dependent on emergency cases who get priority. I understood that and we brought him over at 10:45am. After a little waiting, they called to bring him in and we got a call from the vet who told us he had a double ear infection. She treated it there, and gave us medicine to take home. She was kind, knowledgeable, and caring about our puppy. In fact, the entire staff was. As we are down the shore often throughout the year, it is good to know we have a place we can definitely trust to care for our little guy when away from home.

showed up at 12 am for my dogs bleeding ear. they said hold on, they aredoing "life-saving surgery".. around 1:30 called back and they said they are looking at my file and theyll call me back. i wake up in my car at 4am with my dog. I call them asking what is the wait and the woman explains i must reschedule and this must be done another time. after i have been sitting in thier parking lot for four hours.I understandably say ok and ask for some water for my dog at LEAST. The woman says quote "there's a wawa up the road." After i just sat in my car for hours and hours. This is the rudest insincere non-caring veternarian location. They see you as a dollar sign first, and put the human condition second.

Our 16 year old dog was very sick on a Sunday. We called Ocean View and they told us to come in. We were so thankful to hear they didn't have the typical $500 emergency fee that other places charge to walk in the door. They saw our dog right away and we waited outside (due to Covid rules). From the receptionist to the nurses and the doctor, everyone was so kind and professional. The doctor called us multiple times throughout the process to keep us updated and informed, never pressuring us to do one thing or another. Our dog had to have a procedure done that would have cost upwards of $1,000 elsewhere, but they were able to keep it affordable for us. We would not hesitate to bring our animals here again.

My greyhound had a tear on his back leg. Tendons and muscle exposed. Told the wait was going to be a couple hours. No biggie. We brought him in at nine pm and he didn’t get done until 5:30 am. This is not an issue though, because I understand how emergencies get served in order of importance. My issue was with the constant attitude I received from the staff. Additionally we paid 700+ for five stitches only for them to come undone three days later (they were supposed to be in for 14 days) to no fault of our own. We followed aftercare instructions to a tee and my dog wasn’t even messing with the stitches. When I called them to see if they were going to charge me another 700 for stitches that were poorly done on their half, more attitude was received. They are expensive as hell as far as vets go and you think that you would leave feeling like your money was well spent for your beloved furry companion. I unfortunately did not, since the issue was not even resolved and we were treated poorly throughout. Currently on our way to Linwood pet hospital who have so far been accommodating and kind. It’s a shame I even have to make this review because we’ve been going to ocean view for a couple years but the last year and a half I have been increasingly more let down. I hate having to leave bad reviews but I felt I should let my fellow animal lovers know my experience. Take this review as you will, there have been many reviews for this veterinary hospital ranging from 1-5. I hope this can help someone make an informed decision.

I had an emergency with my dog and the staff at this facility could not have been better. I don’t have a vet here (I go to school out of state) but when I called with the emergency they told me to come right in. He had swallowed a plastic toy and it was lodged in his throat. They had him in and out in 30 minutes (no surgery required thank goodness) and the price was extremely reasonable for it being an emergency visit. I would recommend this vet to anyone in the area!

I had a stray kitten that got into something at home and got sick, I brought it to this hospital and when I arrived they made me wait almost 15 mins outside before someone even came out. The nasty girl Emily basically said you have to leave a $600 dollar deposit to leave the kitten with no diagnosis, no hope, no clue what was going on . When I spoke with them the next day they still have no idea what happened. So $700 dollars later I still have no idea what was going on. They basically babysat this kitten, I’m not being mean but if you call yourself a hospital then act like it. As I business I understand, but you are not working on cars!!

I cannot say enough about Ocean View Vet. Whenever we are at the shore and away from our regular vet, we always use Ocean View. This week, our elderly dog had a seizure--it was terrifying. They walked me through what to do on the phone, then took him in immediately and administered loving, professional emergency care. I was afraid he would have to be put down, but they not only saved his life but also gave me a positive path forward for the remainder of his days and sent him home to me. If you ever need an emergency vet, don't hesitate. Bernie and I thank Ocean View!

I cant say enough about how thankful that Ocean View Vet exists. We got there and they were kind and understanding, and when I told them Dixie couldn’t suffer any longer, they kindly let us in even though they had many emergency visits that day. I am happy that Dixie got to go in a place that truly cares about the well-being of your pet. Also we opted as a family to have Dixie cremated, that way we could have her close. Pets At Peace Pet Cremations went above and beyond. I expected to get a bag of ashes, maybe a box, but I got all of this, her little paw print, and the print on paper. It made me ball my eyes out. Thank you.

We are from Northern Jersey but vacation in the Cape May area. 3 weeks ago when we were vacationing, we had to make a very tough decision with our 16 and a half year old Chihuahua. Oceanview Animal Hospital was right there by our sides throughout the entire process. They were so kind, understanding, polite and very accommodating. They made us and our baby Trixie feel special. Thank you for the wonderful treatment provided to us all and helping us make our tough decision more pleasant for our Trixie. They are the best pet veterinary we've ever been to.

We brought out 16 week old CAVAPOO to Oceanview with what was diagnosed as a broken left front elbow. After diagnosis, They arranged for us to take Tess to the Red Bank Veterinary Emergency Hospital in Mt Laurel for her subsequent surgery. We were most impressed with the professional treatment of Tess. JACK & BARB TARDITI

READ THE NEGATIVE REVIEWS BEFORE BRINGING YOUR PET TO THIS PLACE! Waited over 2hours for my dog who was in distress to be seen and by the end of the visit was hit with a ton of charges for services that never even got done. I ended up getting the bill fixed after pointing out the charge mistakes. Experienced much aggravation and attitude from the staff. These people should not be in the business of taking care of animals and your front desk needs trained on compassion and customer service. There is many other vets that people can bring their pets to in the area that are not going to nickle and dime you by the end of your visit. Do your research people!

ZERO stars would be better....my critically injured cat was DENIED EMERGENCY SERVICE, because I was fired as a client MANY YEARS prior. NO VET should refuse EMERGENCY SERVICE, regardless of the situation. I will NEVER return to this INHUMANE place

Omg this has to be the worst vet out here. Very unprofessional. Most of them seem so miserable and aren’t passionate about taking care of your pets.

Last week, my mother's cat, an indoor/outdoor somewhat feral cat, came home late at night half-covered in what smelled like motor oil. I was worried that the cat would groom itself and get sick, or worse, from ingesting the oil. I don't remember all the names, but everyone I spoke to from the first person at 5:00 am to the nurse to the doctor were very kind, compassionate, and professional. I got an appointment for 8:15 am, and within the hour, the cat was checked out and given a bath to remove the oil. The fee was much less than I expected, given that it was an off-hours visit. Thank you to all!

"Those big practices, once they get so big, they only start caring about the business, not the pets."- Dr. Fathi, previous Ocean View vet Practice has gotten so large it's no longer in it for the pets' well being. Main complaint is with Dr. Ira but they're all guilty Due to a disagreement with Dr. Ira in the past, he discharged us saying we were no longer to be served. Earlier today, my cat was hit by a car and in critical condition. We went to them for an ER visit, and they refused us service because of the lock Dr. Ira placed on us. Nobody was "around to override it", so we had to drive all the way up to Absecon for the next closest vet ER while my cat was in shock, in pain, and dying the whole time. What kind of vet does something as deplorable as turning away a dying animal because of bad history

My sister recently brought her dog here suspected of a broken paw, they made them wait in the car for over 45 minutes (while the dog was in pain) so they eventually left to go to another vet hospital. Very disappointed in their service.

My daughter pheobi had woke up with her eyes swollen shut. We took her to ocean view because they were the only place open they fixed her up the same day dr. Renne was incredible two days later we took my son to animal clinic of millville and my son otis became sick the next day. We drove an hour to take him to dr renne because we knew he was safe and cared for. He was tested and it came back that he had a parasite. Very upsetting and sad to see my son sick. But god sent us angels dr. Renne and dr. Lisa unbelievable how much they care and how much they love the animals they saved all of us and worked with my budget we owe them the world the most amazing doctors ive ever couldve imagined or asked for! Thank thank thank you guys much love from the Bovenzi family

I would give them zero stars if Google let me. After charging my friend almost $500 on March 12 and telling her that the cat was fine just a little overweight, the cat almost died Sunday, March 14. When we talked to the vet he was unsympathetic, rude and not helpful. He wouldn't even look at the cat unless she paid another $160 for another office visit. Once we inform him that we were filing a formal complaint he said said a few unprofessional words to us and hung up. Luckily the people at Linwood pet hospital actually care about their animal patients and their human parents. They went above and beyond to making sure that Snoopy will be fine in a few days.
