The vet here gave it to me straight about my 9m old cat having a tumor that she will not recover from while 2 other vets strung me along to get paid. I did not have an appointment, but he graciously checked my cat and I can tell he's a very experienced Vet by the way he explained everything to me clearly. I will be bringing my other cat here, where the people actually care. Thank you to everyone there for our closure.

I called to make an appt for the first time, the next appt wouldn't be available until Nov and the receptionist was just so rude and dismissive. Very sad

I have been trying to reach a doctor since March and no one ever answers the phone. My dog spanky has been going to this vet for a long time since he had the Rabies vaccine in Early march this spot has not gone away. I have been trying to reach them as this is the place I took him to to get the rabies vaccine. ????????????

I've been bringing my dog to this vet since he was 1 month old. He is almost 10 years old and I've never had issues with this place. Great service, affordable care, attentive and caring. I've even brought my dog here for grooming services and the groomer is fantastic! For almost a year, they have been having issues with their phone. For almost a year and they still haven't fixed this issue!! I've been trying to schedule an appointment for more than two weeks! It's a shame because they will be losing loyal customers.

Never aswers the phone, this isn't possible with a lot of customers with more than one animal and not have time to take an appointment in person, the best option is to call but nothing. I have five days to call the office two or three time for day and never aswers.....

PLEASE PICK UP THE PHONE! I am still waiting for them to pick up the phone.. I was told they would call me back. That didn't happen so I've been calling for over a week now and I keep getting the same thing. I've waited on hold before from 12 till 5pm which is when they close.. Only reason i'm not giVing 1 star is because they do good care and they seem very nice.

It's incredible!!! I was more than 2 hours on hold to schedule an appointment for my dog.

Overbooked, understaffed, only 1 doctor board certified to take care of the high volume of animals. When ask for the vet or office manager to return my calls, no response or courtesy reply given. Im willing to change my review if office practice improves.

For great services it’s sad that they never answered their phone. Been calling for days straight. Definitely will look else where.

Today I went to this hospital to take my puppies. It was a TOTAL disaster. first, there was hair everywhere on the seats, couldn’t sit down. It stunk very bad. Went inside to see the doctor and claimed my dog had heart problems but never did any testing. They only want to take your money. They don’t care about the dogs plus they had a dog in a cage crying in pain surrounded by blood and didn’t do anything. Charge me $71 for 1 shot, not even the full vaccine. I will never ever go here. I don’t recommend coming here. Stay away.

I have been taking my Pets to the Armory Dog & Cat Hospital for over 35 years. They provide excellent service at a reasonable price.

I have taken various furbabies to Dr. B off and on for decades. I admit the place is waaaaaaaay too small, but the fees are lower than the ASPCA (that is if you are not on Medicare/ Medicare/ Welfare/ NYCHA) and even then I only go there if I know the problem might be involved. The Animal Dog & Cat Hospital especially Dr. B has always been compassionate and makes sure I totally understand what's going on with my pet. If he feels the hospital won't be ab)e to help he's sent me to the ASPCA w/o charging me his fee. He's worked with me (fee wise) when I've been short on cash as well. Yes, I have see other vet's (particularly this female) who was very dismissive. Overall, I have no complaints about the staff.

To tell the truth, If it wasn't for my dog being a patient here since he was a puppy. I would definitely go somewhere else. The main receptionist is verrryyyy rude especially when it comes down to paying the bill. Dare I say the R..... word! Horrible customer experience & service.

I have been taking my dog here for about 7 to 8 years. During that time he has been seen by Dr. Burchman who is a good veterinarian and good diagnostician. Never had problems and in fact due to his quick action my dog had a cancerous tumor removed by an excellent surgeon that he recommended and then radiation at AMC. Today he is healthy and happy. Only complaint is that some of the vet techs are a little rough around the edges. Receptionists have improved their attitude and the place is neat and clean though reception area is small for the amount of people that use their services.Prices are a bargain compared to other vets in the Bronx and the quality at Armory is better in terms of vet care by veterinarians.

I have been coming to this clinic for over 10 years with multiple pets. Although there may be some conflicting reviews below..I have to tell you that aside from the small space and it being usually crowded it is a very good clinic. They have always been very professional and the prices are extremely reasonable compared to other vets.

I use to go here and then stopped. They're incompetent and disrespectful. I brought my chihuahua in with a bad rash and instead of doing thorough check they looked at it and gave me wipes and sent me home. Needless to say the rash got worse and spread. They also tried to bully me into getting vaccines for my dog that it turns out she didn't need until the following year, then told me they wouldn't look at my dog without those vaccines. Definitely not the way to treat your clientele and their pets. I gladly took my business someplace else and I'm much happier with the treatment I get there. Do yourself a favor and don't go to this place.

I requested an appointment(online) for my 8 month old blue nose pit to get her shots on may 30 and didn’t get a response(after a week) so i called and they said it would take about 2 weeks . Here i am tomorrow makes two weeks and i haven’t gotten a response . no problem . on june 8th my dog started to bleed while peeing and i thought it was her period for 3 days. yesterday (thursday) i called at 6:30 pm to see if i can schedule an appointment or do a walk in and the answer machine said i called after hours when they close at 7. i waited until his morning (friday) to call since 9:15 hoping someone would be there 15 minutes before and seeing if i can be one of the first customers for a walk in . no response which is understandable because they open at 9:30 . i called from 9:30 - 10 about 10 times and it says they aren’t open yet. i call about 4 more times around 10:15 and still not open. i call again at 10:23 and the line is busy . i keep calling to make sure that i am the next person on the phone and they answer and put me on hold for 7 minutes(which is not too long) just to tell me they only have one doctor working and all the other doctors don’t come in. the receptionist was very nice and understanding but i don’t understand how this office works . they didn’t have any space for an open appointment for the next 2 weeks . how can you have a business with only one doctor. I read all the bad reviews and most of them caught my eye but not enough to stop trying to get my baby an appointment here for the simple fact that this is the closest vet office to me and it is affordable. I would not like an appointment from here at all .

One Thing I Can Tell You If You Pet Is Sick And Their's Nothing They Can Do They Will Tell You Up Front. They Don't Sugar Coat Nothing. They Are Animal Lover's.They Don't Like Animals Suffering. Yes It's Small But I Wouldn't Have It Any Other Way. There Prices Are Great. I Love This Animal Hospital ????????

I've been taking my pets here since I was a kid. Now as an adult, I still choose Armory. They care about your baby, have options on how to pay for your pet's care if you can't afford it (scratch pay and credit care), they have grooming services if you need it. When my cat passed away in the beginning of the year they let me bring him in a box so he can get cremated. The lady was SOOO compassionate when I cried my eyes out(my cat was my bestfriend for 14 years). As if that weren't enough already, my dog got hurt a few months later (among other ailments) and needed surgery. He's 13- 14 yrs old and they took care of him so well he's back to his spunky self (even with all his teeth removed! Lol). He can now comfortably take walks with us through Bronx river park and play with our son ????❤ Thank you so much Dr. Burchman and his wonderful staff of vet techs!

They are expensive and need more options to pay like working with a sliding scale for those people whom do not qualify or afford for pet insurance, scratch pay, care one credit. Like payment plans especially if you are on public assistance, disabled
