One of the best pet stores that I have gone to they are very knowledgeable on the animals and species that they have and what you will need for them and they are very good at educating the customer on what they'll have to do and need for their new family members/pets highly recommended for anyone looking for new pets / family members for food or for just curiosity definitely the place to go

Great knowledgeable staff. Products are great. I am proud to have this Petco in Rochester. Aquatic section is great well kept clean and the aquarium keeper is well educated and kind.

Quality and price of dog beds purchased exceeded my expectations. In addition, I was informed of the 60 day return policy (purchased on the last night on this- now it's 30 days). I have bought soo many dog beds over the years- the ones from Petco are exceptionally thickly cushioned- perfect for my senior dogs.

I got my husband 4 out of his 5 tarantulas at petco Kristen the Lady who sold us our first Tarantula. She definitely knows what she’s talking about when it comes to tarantulas. She definitely trys to find them the best homes!

Amazing employees!! Everyone is knowledgeable and genuinely cares about the animals there, which can be rare to find.

Update to my review. I wanted my dog to attend training classes for socialization. When I called, I made it abundantly clear. I was told to bring my dog in for evaluation. When I arrived the trainer said hello and immediately walked me to the cashier to pay 39.95. I wasn't told I would have to pay for the evaluation. I was NOT told this on the phone call. And the trainer looked and acted like a minimum wage sales person. No credentials. Not even a hello to my dog. When I asked about the class, she was going to set me up with one on one training class. That is NOT what I asked for. When I reminded the trainer I wanted socialization, she said he training area was only big enough for 2 dogs. My opinion of Petco has dropped dramatically. If their dog training is just a salesperson, is that true for their dog grooming? I might still by my dog food from Petco, but I sure as hell will not take my dog their for training or grooming. Everybody knows Petco. It is a good retail specialty store with a larger variety of pet products than most other stores. I get my dog food, treats and toys there. The people are using helpful and friendly. I like the weight scale. I weigh my dog once a month to make sure I'm feeding him properly. The training and grooming is a fluid situation. Employees are trained to do the job but they are not career professionals like Super Groomers. Petco people change from year to year. I gave it a 4 rating because I went in last week about training for my new rescue and I have not not heard back from them.

Not enough items in stock. A toy I bought for my dog immediately fell apart.

There is never product on the shelves. Small animal products!

I have 3 rescue dogs who I signed up for Vital Care. This staff, especially Sam and *I believe her name* is Holly (the groomer) are incredible. I have never had an issue and if I did the staff always finds a solution so quick and in my favor. They’re so friendly and usually with corporate chains you don’t see this, but they are always smiling and are kind. I really enjoy my visits there.

I was buying Betta fish for my children, the employee made sure I knew I was buying to males and let me know they had to be housed separately, the employee also let me know that the Betta's should have a heater in the tank as they are tropical fish. Very knowledgeable and helpful

Friendly staff and store was spotless

I thought I was going into a PetSmart and I had just gotten a coupon in the mail that day on my way out but when I got to the store I realized the store and coupon were PetCo so I got what I wanted anyway.

Stopped in today and the girl with pink and brown hair was super helpful! She was extremely sweet and I went in knowing nothing about what dog food to get for my puppy. She had no problem with helping me grab a different brand of dog food. Wish I caught her name, thanks again!
