Wow just wow this place is the absolute worst. The woman who answered the phone could not be more rude! I’m appalled. Stay away if you love your pets because they sure don’t!

Amazing vet services! Extremely knowledgeable staff; especially the Vet! Everyone was so considerate in making my new puppy not fear her first visit. Their prices were also more than reasonable. I am thankful to have been recommended and will also recommend myself!

Please don't ever take your dog here they are rude and hate when you comfort your dog. Just about killed ours over a infected toenail blamed it on her heart. I wouldn't take a goldfish to that place please just be careful it's not a good place.

I've been with them for 35 years. Wouldn't think of going elsewhere. Excellent care for all my animals over the years.

They provide excellent care for the animals and are excellent at communicating and keeping in touch.

They knew there stuff and took care of my sisters cat very well and had a bunch of useful information. Place is a good place for smaller pets. Keep you pets under control if you go here that a very important task when visiting any hospital.

I only went here because my family took the dogs here years ago. If 0 stars was an option I’d be in that category. Don’t go here if you are concerned about your animals health and want them looked at. Brought my cat in recently just to be told his drooling, bad breathe, and hair loss was from flees. But yet not a single flee could be found, just some dirt specs the doctors insisted were from flees. My cat is an indoor/outdoor garage cat. Turns out my little man had a mouth infection, that due to the doctors inability to do his job, was able to spread. Now because of that doctor not being able to catch what was actually wrong with my cat I’ll be forced to euthanize him tomorrow and I can’t describe the amount of resentment I have for this office now. I hope this review is scene by everyone and I hope everyone in dire need for their animal finds somewhere else to take them.

After finally finding a good vet in the area it shines light on how horrible this vet and staff are. Extremely rude front desk staff and out of date vet practice. A hydraulic table that they tie your dog to making my dogs paranoid and pulling at the leash border line choking them out. And then when told to step away from the table by the helper while they were giving my dogs shots, the vet missed the vein and made my dog bleed. Instead of taking responsibility for it he then told me I needed to hold my dog steady even though his helper told me not to hold him.... hmmm.... if I could give this place zero stars I would

Dr amstrom is great best prices around and knows what hes doing

Horrible place. Took my dog here for an emergency while on vacation. Dr. Olstrom made me feel like a terrible dog owner and I have dogs that have owned me for close to 50 years and have worked with rescue. Very difficult to get records to take to my vet when we decided to return home for care. Dog was only constipated. He told me my dog was very sick and made me think Mmy dog was dieing. Stay away! Drive the extra 5 minutes to the emergency clinic in Meredith Bay.

Be careful with this guy. He over charged me for unnecessary testing for my dog and told me she was fine after not eating for five days. His cross-eyed assistant was rude when I expressed my concerns about my dog not getting better and not eating. The blonde older lady is nice and knows much more than the man she works for. In the end, this vet outright refused to send my dogs records for a second opinion. I think his dementia is progressing. Don’t believe him about Pedigree dog food! Upon doing research, I found that his study was done by Pedigree and therefore is propaganda for their brand.

I can't speak for their dog and cat services, but I would not recommend for rabbits. The vet's knowledge is outdated and limited, though he didn't want to admit it. He wasn't familiar with normal symptoms of GI Stasis or any treatments of GI Stasis (arguably the most common problem rabbits can have). He basically told me there was nothing I could do and my rabbit was as good as dead. I went to CAVES in Concord where they suggested a very traditional course of treatment which I administered to to my rabbit at home. He started eating on his own a week later and is fine to this day. I also wasn't very happy with how roughly he treated my rabbit, or the judgemental comments he made about my boyfriend needing to leave the room to attend to more urgent business.

First trip here was a success... they saved me on unnecessary vaccines that were pushed on me before, explaining what it was and why it was not needed in the area I live which is appreciated. Also very helpful with what the best foods, grooming practices, and medications are the best in their opinions/experience and also thourough explanation as to why. We came here because we didn’t want to wait two weeks for our normal vet, but we will now be switching our other dog over to this place!

Miracle workers who really care about animals. I just love it here.

Dr Ahlstrom is a very caring and knowledgable veterinarian! My big gentle bulldog was plagued by chronic urinary tract infections. After several courses of unsuccessful antibiotics, Dr Ahlstrom performed a very risky and intensive surgery. He was so thorough and informative in my bully's follow up care...now completely infection free...like a new dog! I highly recommend this wonderful, knowledgable and truly professional veterinarian!!

Always a good experience. Dr. A and his staff really care so much about the animals. Our dog can be a bit difficult but they always handle her wonderfully.

The Doctor is extremely knowledgeable. He takes his time with each patient ensuring we understand what is going on with our animal and how to he a better pet parent. He has taken care of my animals for over 20 years. The best in the business.

We had a scary emergency moment with our dog, and we brought her to this hospital, they were in and out with her as soon as they could be, kept us informed and were upfront. Thank you SO much for saving her life. Specially in the midst of COVID-19, you guys are all unsung hero’s. You’ve made such a difference in our lives.

My friend had to put her dogs down last night by herself, because they would not see my friends 2 dogs that got into a porcupine because of money$$ Totally thoroughly disgusted! Your aweful people

I ended up going to Meredith Animal Hospital, because my long standing vet in Gilford refused to see my dog for an emergency visit after playing an all day phone tag with me. Needless to say, I'm never going back to Gilford, because it turned out that we have everything we need for my puppy with Meredith Animal Hospital. They are very knowledgeable, patient, thorough and understanding. The other place is all about up-selling unnecessary treatments, meds, shots...etc. I wish I would know about Meredith Animal Hospital earlier!

Our dog was killed buy a car on our street. They were very sensitive and compassionate and offered us a few options for remembrance of our buddy. I highly recommend them

First visit, and very impressed with the Doctor and his staff. Caring, knowledgeable, and good at communicating with the pet Owner. We'll be back. ????
