I've got an elderly Yorkie with a bundle of health problems. I took him to Merrimack Animal Hospital this morning for numerous procedures. He is in much better shape tonight after Dr Mian and Sherry's work on that wiggly woof. Have been using M.A.H. for decades.

My dog was in last minute need of vet. Since my primary vet was booked solid, I called around to many other places to absolutely no avail. I happened to have the luck of calling Merrimack Animal Hospital and they scheduled me an appointment almost immediately. They were so friendly, helpful and put at ease almost immediately. I’m so grateful for the Dr. and his assistant.

They were all very very nice. They took good care of my cat the only negative was the price. It was very expensive like a month's rent l

We had to get our lab mix "fixed". So far so good. Everyone here is kind and the doctor knowledgeable. Prices are reasonable to our expectations.

Dr and assistant gentle with my cat. Also patient with me as I tried to understand what's wrong with her and how to administer medications properly.

Very friendly and personal service that you don't find at most clinics. My cat had a UTI and I was given full instructions on how to treat it and was even allowed to look in the microscope! The vet bill was reasonable (although prescription cat food is pricey!).

I took my dog Rocky here for 14 years. They were always very compassionate and knowledgeable. As far as Veterinarians go, they were always pretty fair with their prices too.

Dr. Mian has been my in-law's vet for over 20 years and is now the vet for our two dogs. He is very thorough. To say he cares about the animals would be an understatement. He and Shari (his amazing assistant) are excellent to both the animals and the people those animals control. I highly recommend Merrimack Animal Hospital!

By far the best animal hospital around amazing dr. The absolute best most caring and compassionate staff. I would recommend them for any reasonable pretty need from food to meds to boarding and general care. Best place around!

Dr. Mian is very down to earth. We love that he remembers everyone's names... And he's good with the animals.

Dr. Mian is an experienced and thorough Veternarian. My pets are always well cared for and any questions or concerns of mine are addressed in an honest, direct and kind way. His Assistant/Office Manager, Shari is informative, helpful and great with the animals. She always greets me and my animals by name and her big smile. When my Cat had to be put down she was incredibly kind, empathetic and her words soothing.

My wife has been faithfully taking our dog to Dr. Mian for the last 4 years for her regular appointments and various issues that would arise during the course of the year. I would consider us to be a regular customer that always paid our bill in full with no questions asked. My wife took our dog in a few weeks ago on a Saturday to have her nails trimmed, because our groomer was unavailable. They took our dog in the room to do the maintenance to her nails, when our dog was unmuzzled she came out with her paws bleeding, to my wife's horror and a visibly shaken dog My wife was told Oh by the way you owe us $30.00 for what was done. First of all I know what it takes to run a small business, by owning one in the city of Lowell and I certainly know what overhead means. But I also like to keep and retain my customers. I feel that after seeing my wife's reaction and that of our dog that the response she should have received was an apology from them and a credit on our account of the $30.00 charge. You do not retain your customers by nickel and diming them to death with a fee that our groomer would have done for $10.00 with no pain or drama had she been available. I looked back at all the receipts from the past years and I can say that the $30 he charged would have surely been made up in a short amount of time. When a customer feels mistreated it is sometimes better to eat the cost than cause a loss of revenue that is ten fold of $30.00. No reason to traumatize a small dog and make her bleed just to have her nails trimmed/NO-EXCUSE !!!!!!!!!!!

I have been taking my animals to Dr. Mian at Merrimack Animal Hospital for 13 years or so. He is competent, compassionate and knowledgeable of the latest updates in the field of Veterinary medicine. He has treated my dogs and cats very well. Sometimes we disagree but that is healthy in any medical relationship. Every so often I would get the "this cat isn't going to live forever speech " as he gently tried to prepare me for the inevitable. (The cat died of old age at 22). When my old-timer dog had a stroke at 17 and could no longer walk, he made a house call to put her down at my request. I've known quiet a few Vets and most of them have a lousy bedside manner with the owners. Dr. Mian is better at that then most. But as a Vet he excels. His first concern is always the animal at hand and never his profit margin. He is a truly excellent Vet.
