Bunch of know-it-alls who think they can't learn anything new. Rude, ignorant, gossip talking 20 yr olds who have been put in charge with their position going to their head. Well kept place all around and a sincere caring for the animals. Staff could use a few lessons to humble themselves instead of riding around on a high horse. Half-way good, halfway not so good. A little maturity would do that place some good. Your animals will be loved but don't expect the same for yourself as well haha

We recently brought our 4.5 month old lab to see Jocelyn for training. We noticed an immediate difference in his behavior and skills after the first day. We let him stay for full daycare on the days he had training and he loved being at the Barking Dog. He would jump out of the car when we arrived and was so happy to go inside. We highly recommend her!

This was the first time boarding my dog since I recused him and I was worried about how he would do. He had a blast and I had nothing to worry about at all.

We adopted a puppy in July and didn't know where to start with training her. We reached out to The Barking Dog and were put in contact with Jocelyn. Our puppy, Jaina, has done many training sessions with Jocelyn over the past couple of months and she has made so much improvement. She has not only learned basic obedience, but has really improved with day to day tasks such as going on walks. Her confidence has shot through the roof as well. I would recommend Jocelyn to anyone looking to get help with dog training!

Boarded my cat for the weekend, I've never boarded a pet and my cat has never boarded before either. Paid extra for a once/day picture and late checkout because I wouldn't be able to make it there before 12:30 checkout. When I checked him in I found out they aren't even OPEN 10-3 on the weekends, so I'm not sure how a 12:30 checkout would even be possible. But whatever. Got a picture Sat and Sun which was nice for my peace of mind! Went to pick my cat up and asked the person checking us out how my cat was because it was his first time boarding. They didn't answer and cashed me out. Got my cat, left. When I checked my receipt I was charged for the upgrade AND also late checkout. No notes about his weekend, which I know other boarding places include from friends who board elsewhere. Called about the overcharge and that was fixed no problem. But was told they keep notes on boarding but only tell you about it if you ask. But I had asked? And I don't feel like I should have to ask for a quick recap of the weekend when they already make notes about it. I'm just not impressed and let down. Overall my experience isn't anything like I thought it would be based on the great reviews The Barking Dog has. I don't know if I would board there again.

The staff at the Barking Dog in Hooksett is absolutely fantastic! My dog has special medication needs and the staff was extremely accommodating and made sure my dog (who has been known to “cheek “ her meds and then spit them out when no one’s looking) took her pills. They definitely went above and beyond to care for my dog. I have used the Barking Dog for years and there’s a reason for that. Kudos to the fantastic staff!

An amazing place to have your pet groomed! My golden went in pretty shaggy and came out looking picture perfect! I have also had both pets board here as well and they loved it! The staff took great care of both boys and when I picked them up they were all washed up and full of smiles! So happy I found The Barking Dog ????

Through the ups and downs of the COVID-19 pandemic this group of professionals have been my rock. Reliable, trustworthy and friendly. Jocelyn's training took Chase in a positive direction. All of the daycare staff, especially the manager, have gone above and beyond for my dog.

I can't say enough good things about The Barking Dog in Hooksett. My 1 year old dog loves going here. We started going here in July 2021 for training with Jocelyn, and my dog has grown into quite a gentleman. She knows exactly how to motivate and naturally bring out the best in your dog. She is always responsive to questions and genuinely cares about your training needs. Highly recommend.

I showed up early to pickup my dog after a multi day stay and she smelled like urine.

We have been boarding with the Barking Dog in Hooksett for many years. Our experience has always been exceptional. The services are always tailored to meet the needs of each pet and are provided exactly as requested. Drop off and pick up are timely and easy even during these times of employee shortages. Prices are reasonable but most importantly our 4 Legged family members are well taken care of and are returned to us in excellent health and frame of mind. The staff aims to please, is friendly, professional, Caring and responsive.

We've been taking our black lab Gus here for a few years now and he absolutely loves it. He's been boarded several times for 2 week periods while we're on vacation. He goes to day care pretty frequently. And we recently had him in training with Jocelyn, who was absolutely incredible. In just 3 weeks, our 4 year old Gus had unlearned some very bad habits and learned some excellent ones. Friends and family have immediately noticed the difference. I would highly recommend a session with Jocelyn. She's truly a dog whisperer. All in all, I couldn't say more good things about The Barking Dog Hooksett. The staff is very kind. Anytime we're away, we routinely call to check in and they are always very responsive, which is very comforting. Gus gets so excited any day he gets to go to the Barking Dog to see all his friends. We love TBD!

Amazing employees! My puppy loves it there!!

I recently got my very first dog and brought my female bluetick coonhound to see Jocelyn and my dog loved coming every day. She would go in beyond excited to start her fun day. Training is awesome and she came back a completely different dog. The whole staff at the barking dog does such a great job and they are all so friendly and take great care of my dog! Going to be going to this place for a very long time. Highly recommend!

We worked with Jocelyn and her training package and had excellent results! We are a very busy family and this program was designed for us! Having the ability to drop Rosie off to be trained during the days, followed by two one on one training consultations at whatever times we could make work was perfect! She provided the initial leg work as well as a very specific direction/training to follow at home. It is exactly what our family was looking for!

Never ever again. Not only my dog came home with an infection and bleeding looks like he got bit by another dog. The owner never returned our call. His tongue was ripped bleeding two punction wounds on his nose as well. Ruined our weekend away by calling and yelling us he needed she hurt and he did not need surgery. Unprofessional!!

Our dog Roman who is just a year old went through Jocelyn's dog training program. We did the program where he stays at doggie daycare and received 9 sessions of training and 2 personal one on one lessons with myself and my husband. She is a wonderful trainer, Roman loves her! We will be going back for tune-ups once we fine-tune the basics. We couldn't be happier with what he has learned with Jocelyn. She sends home a training packet, writes daily notes, asks us what we wanted Roman to be trained on in beginning, and was flexible in meeting our schedules for the 1 on 1 lessons. Also, we love doggie daycare and the staff that work over there are wonderful too!

We love everyone at The Barking Dog and her trainer Jocelyn too. Our puppy began going when she was 4 months and was a landshark and loved jumping on people. She was also very timid around other dogs. Jocelyn has been wonderful and walking our 6 month old walks very well on her leash, does not bite, jumps a lot less, is very well behaved and loves other dogs. Thank you to everyone, our girl Izzy loves you guys.

Koda, as Kimi before him, absolutely loves The Barking Dog. We ask him if he wants to go play with his friends and he herds us to the car so we can take him there. The staff at the Barking Dog are all dog lovers and Koda loves them all...especially Jasmine. I haven’t been inside since COVID started but I know it was always clean before. I love watching the daily videos on Facebook and love all the special events they have to keep the dogs engaged. The COVID restrictions such as curb side service are great but unfortunately it does take extra time to drop off and pick up your pup. I’m sure after the restrictions are reduced it will get back to normal. I highly recommend The Barking Dog Hooksett.

I love the Barking Dog in Hooksett. My puppies have been going there since it opened. Never a problem and they are always so excited to be dropped off there to play with their other fur friend's.

We enrolled our recently adopted puppy in Jocelyn's Dog Training Class at The Barking Dog in Hooksett. Not only did Jocelyn help develop Willow's skills, she trained us (humans) how to work with Willow and provided insight on our pups behavior, manner of learning and best approach to continued training. Jocelyn was quick to provide feedback each day via email, was responsive to our questions and understanding when we required flexibility given a recent move to NH. We HIGHLY recommend Jocelyn - she's fantastic and has a gentle approach to her training method which worked well with our sensitive, sweet and shy pooch. That said, she shared stories regarding other pups that required a more assertive approach. Jocelyn will modify her training method to the one best suited to your pets temperament.
