I'm fairly new here in Vegas and have an elderly cat with kidney disease. From the front desk to my wonderful vet Dr Saponas I feel heard and cared for. I can't ask for much more than that. It's a wonderful team at VCA and I'm glad to have found them.

We just moved to the Lakes area, and needed a good Vet for our Senior Pittie, Bella. They loved on her, made her so comfortable and happy. I was relieved that she liked the staff and wasn't afraid. They are my Vet of choice for Bella and any other furbabies that may come into my life!

Hey guys. I know you found nothing wrong with Ginger through the x-rays, but, something is wrong. She cries loudly in pain and snaps when she is touched on her right side. Something has to be wrong. You can't touch her there!

A couple weeks ago we had looked into a spay for a 2 year old German Shepard. We had recently had our male neutered but they managed to hookup during his 2 week healing . We were informed of the possibility of her still becoming pregnant. Naturally not what we wanted to have happen. After calling our local vet, we called around. VCA Hualapi said they’d be able to do the procedure within a week or so. We then scheduled a “needed” consultation . It being their practice we agreed at a quoted prices of $66. Arriving the day of , we were greeted friendly enough by the staff and Doctor Boling. Our shepard had previously had a c-section and the doc had concerns. He wanted background information on the precedure and current blood work. The price of course went up. As we didn’t want any pups possibly developing inside of her and didn’t have any immediate external options, we agreed to a panel being drawn and the spay being pushed back until the doctor could review. Out $300 day 1 for a $66 consultation. But we agreed, so . As the week passed the doctor and staff did their part. They gathered needed records and reviewed. We gave updated shot records. The appt was scheduled and the foretold price of roughly $300 for the spay, was on the table. Then there was today. … Entering the building, we were weighed and brought to a room. Awaiting the Doctor, a friendly nurse / staff member entered. She had gone over the basics. Paperwork, consent and had our dog fasted. While signing the papers before me I noted a box that I had an option to dismiss it. It asked if I wanted a written quote. … hmm? Sounded like a legitimate question. I said yes. The member left and another returned. This one however was there to take our shepard. I asked about the procedure, length of time and my quote. She attempted to brush me off and just get the doctor. She returned and told me he had declined to see us since he had previously spoken to me. With a little persistence I was able to get the printed version of our quote. The bill has been predetermined to be between $530 and $670. A very large difference from the states $300 previously. So very calmly I read the breakdown. It showed $197 for pregnancy. And with all other items combined it totaled the $530 price. I wondered where the other $140 would be derived from.? I asked. She couldn’t and wouldn’t explain. I said “ you would like me to sign for a procedure, on a written quote, that doesn’t even list where the possible $140 would or could be used for? But allocated as a possible expense. In her frustration she was able to retrieve Dr Boling. We had a short , to the point conversation, in which he stated that he never had needed to charge for items such as that in the past but we agreed to called them “ incidentals”. He also said he only worked for VCA as a corporation and he had no say so or authority to alter the paperwork. I simply stated that if a price was to be quoted and someone was to be given a written breakdown of possible incurred medical expenses, then adding a column with the word “ incidentals” and the price of $140 - would clear up future confusion. As he himself said I was not the first to bring up this very issue. Prior to ending to conversation, he also stated I would not be charged for the $197 pregnancy fee if in fact the were no puppies in her womb. So I estimated it at $300 and change or up to the $670 if she was pregnant and they used every “incidental” they might need. As always, if someone is upfront and we agree on a price, I have no problem paying. Well, we released our girl to the 2nd nurse/ staff member. We awaited the call to here her status and pickup time. That was around 8:30 this morning. … The phone rang at work shortly before 2 pm. It was Dr. Boling. He told me the surgery went great. She was recovering and we could pick her up at 4 o’clock. -Reached character limit. Read photos for full review-

My dog got injured and we just moved here with no established vet. I called one place and they couldn't take us . Said their walk in was with a $140 fee and even that wasn't available until the next day. I called here and they could schedule us for a normal visit the next day. Dr. Saponas was not only great with my dog but also thorough and straightforward with his condition. Very reasonable. Prices are fair. Great staff. Great facility. Highly recommended.

New to the area, our first trip in was wonderful. the staff was gentle and caring with my 17 year old Kitty. They took their time with both my dog and cat. All of my questions were answered. and there was no pushiness trying to upsell unnecessary tests. Very happy with this vet.

Really appreciate the staff and Dr. Love. My only complaint is that as of 5/11:2021, they’re still not allowing owners to come in with their pets??? Kind of ridiculous, with a mask, I really don’t understand why we can’t accompany our pets at this point. UPDATE: I was very pleased with the kindness and compassion of both the staff at the front desk and the Veterinarian that we saw yesterday. Thank you so much for making such a tough decision and events as comforting as possible.

"Since...l am living in Pahrump Nevada...it's over an hour drive one way...am very happy ???? about their services!! The vet that Ginger has is great too!! My only issue is that l don't get an invoice on what's being done...and l got a free $200.00 credit from the Animal Foundation which really helped me out..but on my last visit on 3/7/21...no invoice...and was shocked at being charged $160.00 for a shot...Welactin Canine for Ginger's dry skin coat plus an exam. I did get some information on Pet insurance. Overall...Ginger is well worth the expense!! Thank you for taking care of Ginger. Next time...will get my invoices. Also...no records of her shots. Please provide. Thanks so much!! Nadine Berry

Honestly, when I first saw the curbside drop off for your dog, I almost called my wife to complain but then I realized how much I dislike going into those places in the first place

The staff and doctors are amazing! Our dog recently passed away, and the way they handled the situation with such compassion and kindness was wonderful.. One doctor called us on her day off to talk to us, and they very very kindly agreed to put our dog to sleep outside so we could be with her. The doctor was so gentle that I could see that our dog did not suffer for one moment. The staff are so polite and patient. Yes, it's not cheap, but the service you get is high quality, and that's what we all want for our pets - high quality care. Over the past few weeks, the doctors would take a lot of time to chat to us, explain things to us clearly. I never felt rushed. When we adopt another dog in the future, this is where we will be taking her. Thank you all so much for all that you did for our cherished dog. We are truly very grateful.

Wow! What a great first experience at this hospital for my fur baby. Right from the reception, Ariana was professional and efficient and very welcoming. We relocated from California to Las Vegas and this is our first encounter to establish a relationship with the hospital. It was pawsome! Dr. Jen Saponas was very friendly and knowledgable and very caring towards my fur baby. Immediately I know we are in great hands. I highly recommend this Hospital to all pet parents. They are amazing! Thank you for the great excellence from check in to checkout. Very impressed. Keep up the great work, VCA Hualapai!

My dog was diagnosed with advanced kidney disease January 2020 and I took her to VCA Hualapai –My overall experience of this hospital is this – They have some good veterinarians and a beautiful office. For many months I was at the vet 2-3 times per week getting subcontaneous fluids spending in excess of $400.00 per month. Not knowing when your pets last day will be calls for not only flexibility on the part of the vet, but sincere compassion on the part of the staff. They only have 2-3 vets that will allow an owner to be with their pet at the time of Euthenasia. They only work certain days of the week and this made it inconvenient when trying to schedule. On more than one occasion, I brought to management attention the fact that their receptionists often came across as transactional and incompassionate in their approach in their interactions with me – unfortunately to no avail. I was assured that when the time came to put my Bailey to rest that they would fit me in and not to worry about it. I can’t say I was surprised when the day came to euthanize Bailey, that I was told – “sorry we don’t have any openings”. At this point I have “No Words” for this company – they just don’t get it and never will – it was both insulting and heartless to turn a customer away like this – especially when I was already dealing with losing my loving pet. They left one message for me and haven’t even tried to contact me since. Completely heartless!

Friendly staff, good service. The only thing I didn't like was that they don't allow the owner to go inside with the pet wich was kinda weird. In all hospitals one person can go in with the patient, here is animal hospital and yet no one can go in.
