My dog ate a sack of chocolates. I took him to Summerlin hospital. i had no problem with the legitimate charges but I was charged $110.00 for a phone call he said he made to Animal Poison Control. He knew the dog was not poisoned - he just ate chocolates which the vet should be able to deal with. Then, he charged me $75.00 "boarding fee" for the 3 1/2 hours he was there under his medical care. I left there feeling the vet was less interested in caring for my dog than he was in my bank account. So, don't go there unless you have deep pockets.

I'm shocked and saddened by their lack of compassion. Our furry best friend and son died in their care and the staff was cold. My husband received a phone call from Dr. Reynolds at 1:12 p.m. "I did blood work at 10 a.m. It showed low protein. I went to examine him at 1 p.m. and he was already gone." No invite to come in and say goodbye! No explanation on possible causes of death! We had to call back and beg for permission to come say goodbye to our furry, loyal, always happy family member. We were gutted and shocked! Our baby died unexpectedly and suddenly in their care! When we arrived, the vet didn't come speak with us. The staff just led us to a room and barely said a word. It was a cold feeling. The next day, I called with questions for the vet. I felt like I was a burden for wanting to know possible causes of death. Jan at the front desk told me, "Sometimes you just have to be okay with not knowing. If the doctor doesn't have any ideas, I won't BOTHER calling you back." I never heard back from them - not even a card or sorry for your loss! Where's the compassion!?! Our baby who brought us so much joy died in a cage, unexpectedly, alone and in their care, and they were speechless, uncaring and cold. I highly recommend taking your furry kids to another vet for care.

I have a sweet 5 year old Maltese with Liver Shunt Disease. I came to Dr. Richards for a 2nd opinion. The caring staff and professional treatment convinced me that this will be my go-forward for my new puppy that just came to our home 2 weeks ago. Thank you.

Friendly, gentle, and caring staff, vet techs and verinarians. They always do their best to schedule ASAP, and find a way to squeeze us into the schedule when it's a possible emergency. I've been taking my kitties to see Dr. Reynolds for over a decade. He and the other vets have been patient with me as a pet parent and take the time to answer all my questions.

We have been going to see Dr. Reynolds and staff for almost a decade - they have seen us through end of life care for three of our senior pups and one senior cat with incredible patience and caring. They went through literally every treatment option a senior pet can have and gave us the most clutch specialist referrals as needed. They now provide care for our other three pups and I'm reminded why; they know you when you call, they accommodate you with the quickest appointments possible and even in this time of Covid they do curbside drop off and keep you in the loop via phone throughout the service. I highly recommend their vets, vet techs and front office services.

My animal left there with no solution but a $300 bill. Worse he had a terrible eye infection the very next morning. Was told to bring him in for another examination for his eye charging a lot. We took him elsewhere. This is the second time we were heavily charged for no results and a new issue with our animals the very next day. Thought this place was good. Will never return. Also this is the second bet in this city that play on emotions to get you to do more things and pay for unnecessary things “if you love your animal and want him/her to live” the vet said.

I recently moved to Las Vegas, and am looking for a new veterinarian. My dog has a fast growing tumor on her leg, that is getting bigger each day. I called Summerlin Animal Hospital several days ago to make an appointment. I am getting scared now, because the tumor is growing so fast. Well, after anxiously awaiting my appointment, I received a phone call from them today, just a couple of hours before my appointment, saying that they canceled all their appointments. I asked if I can come in tomorrow. They said no. They said the next time they can see me is next week. I told them it can't wait that long. They told me in that case, I should go somewhere else. So now I am back on the phone, trying to frantically to find another vet who can see my dog as soon as possible. The bottom line: Don't waste your time with Summerlin Animal Hospital. They wasted my time, and clearly my dog's health isn't a priority. These people are not professionals.

I took my dog in because he has come down with allergies, chewing and biting his skin, his eyes swollen. They checked him over gave me a prescription for him for two weeks which he took all and then I began calling them to see if I would need it refilled. They said yes they would need to see him before they would refill it. I told them I didn't have enough money for the visit and his meds which is over $100 and I called 1 800 pet meds to have the prescription filled there. my vet said no they need to see the dog first so I waited till the following week to talk to dr. Reynolds after leaving two or three messages for him to call me and never getting call and when I called back he said no so I said I cannot believe you will not let me get his prescription where I can afford it and that it's okay that he just keeps up with his allergies. She said well that's what the doctor said is no. I will not be going back
