Dr. Winchell has more times than I can count saved my horses. One time my mini horse had gotten into my chicken scratch. Dr. Winchell spent so much time and he saved him. I’ve owned horses for 40 years and I have to say that Desert Pines Equine and their staff have always been so kind and helpful willing to come and help me in an emergency. So if you want a place to hang your hat and your horses, this is the best in my opinion.Thank you! ????????‍????????

From the minute I called on the phone to make an appointment, to the time my horse was done with his appointment, it was a friendly, comfortable relationship. Everyone was kind, caring, and courteous. They were able to diagnose my horses issues because of the doctors knowledge. I would definitely recommend them.

I had an appointment with Dr. Combs for a lameness exam on two horses. After lameness exams were completed, we went over X-rays. Treatment was suggested, and x-rays were shared with our horse shoer. Dr. Combs took the time to size one of the horses with a set of Soft Rides. Thank you to the entire staff.

Very professional and courteous. We had to come in on emergency and the staff was awesome when helping us. We came in with the knowledge that we would be looking at surgery on our eight year old paint and they went right to surgery after exploring all our options. Thank you.

1st thing is I called trying to find a vet that only dealt with horses, the office staff was so nice answering questions and getting my horses in sooner rather than later. 2nd when I got there and checked in everyone was very responsive and listened to all my concerns. I took in my 23 year old rescue TB, she needed a little more treatment than I thought but that's fine my vet and her helpers were so great with my horse. I will be going back soon with a 2nd horse who needs gelded and these guys will be my go to equine vet dispite the drive.

Almost ten years and counting. 'Nuf said!!! Desert Pines Equine Center has assisted me in taking care of my boys quite well, with kindness and respect for their "personalities". Very thankful for that. A real learning experience.

They are an amazing vet! I found an amazing vet for my horse and she is amazing! I highly recommend them for your horse. All the vets there are amazing at their job and care for the horses! They are always so friendly and welcoming to everyone! The workers are amazing and always helpful!

I really appreciate the horse vets at Desert Pines, I get the latest methods and tech to help my horses, and they are very friendly and professional.

We moved from Horse Town USA, where you could find 10 great equine vets with the toss of a stone, to the Arizona desert where there is no qualified equine vet around. When we were moving out here the owners of the house we bought informed us that Desert Pines Equine Center was the only place that she took her horses to. We had been living here for a few months and had yet to get a new trailer that our two horses could use. It was after hours on a Friday evening and we were frantically trying to get ahold of a vet that could come out and see one of the horses. I spoke with a receptionist at Desert Pines Equine Center and explained our situation. She told me she would get in contact with the vet and we would go from there. It wasn't more than 10 minutes and Dr. Clawson was calling me back. Due to how far away we were from the clinic she was unable to do a house call. However, she was extremely helpful over the phone asking questions about exactly what was going on. She was able to give me advise as to what I could do for my gelding. She was so caring, understanding, and truly helpful I will never forget that! Her advise worked very well and he was completely back to 100% within a weeks time. Needless to say, we didn't want an emergency to emerge that required a vets physical treatment and have no means of getting either of my horses to the vets office, so we went out and got a trailer. As soon as we got the trailer I called and made an appointment with the clinic to establish patient care for both of my horses. We were seen by Dr. Manship and he was a phenomenal vet! He took such great care of both of my horses. He was gentle and patient when they were stubborn and made sure they were comfortable at all times, even when the procedure was uncomfortable. He answered all of my questions with the utmost respect and never made me feel like I had a dumb question. He talked through everything he was doing so I knew what was happening. I could not have asked for a better vet to look after my horses. We will definitely be returning with all of our horse care needs. The doctors and staff of Desert Pines Equine Center made this a wonderful experience and well worth the two and a half hour drive.

I've been a customer of Desert Pines for years. They are responsive and professional. I love my horse and I trust the vets and staff at Desert Pines.

I've been using DPEC for the better part of 10 years. The office staff is amazing and friendly. ( truly not sure how they accomplish everything they do! Total super heros!) The vets are kind, compassionate and knowledgeable. ( AGAIN, TRUE ROCKSTARS, to keep up with the demands of this city!) I've never had an issue getting a call back, or an appointment, or even a consultation, and They never rush my appointment. If I need extra time to talk about situations to learn or to ask questions they are available and They are always happy to see my horses. I gladly and happily recommend this facility. I gave them 5 stars but would have given more if they were available.

Its great to see someone take pride an their work love what they do and most important love animals she check my horse saw the problem give him the medicine and give me all information needed to continue helping my horse get better, I will definitely go back if I have any other issues with my horses, Dr Schur,

I live in Arizona so I called and local vet to come out when they got there they were unqualified and told me they thought my horse was just tired and they didn't know what to do charged me a lot of money to come out to the ranch. I ended up having to figure out how to load a horse that can't walk into a horse trailer and then haul him all the way to Vegas I was able to get him in to Desert Pines and they did blood work up took some test checked him out did some things and was able to get him on his feet within an hour of being at the veterinarian clinic very professional very well knowledgeable knew exactly what to do very smart people would very much recommend them I have had to use them on a number of occasions over the years will never call my local vets again just haul him to Vegas they are awesome

Reall hard to find, but nice people.

My pregnant Percheron aborted and was not progressing. They told me to get her in the trailer and bring her in they would be ready. Man were they ever ready! Team of staff took over! My mare was well cared for like she was their own. Worth it! Mare is doing very well.

I travel over 2 hours to take my horses to Desert Pines and am never disappointed with the quality of care, the courteous and respectful staff and skilled and knowledgeable doctors.
