Only complaint is I wish they would take the dogs back faster upon arrival. Standing in the lobby with your pup while other dogs come and go is treacherous. Otherwise, the staff is very friendly and helpful.

Watch out for inexperienced groomers - We went to the west location for a scheduled bath and blow out for our golden doodle. The groomer (who wreaked out cigarette smoke) was instantly disrespectful. She started asking how short we wanted to go when we weren’t even there for a haircut. Told her she wasn’t going to cut her hair. She started looking at our dog saying how there was no way she was going to be able to brush her out and that she will have to spot shave her. And that she has hematomas under her ears from matting. Diagnosing our dog as just a groomer. She said that if we wouldn’t let her shave her that we should take her to the vet right away. Our dog had no signs of any of this. Let us touch her ears and pet her without any signs of pain. Being worried first time dog owners, my husband took our dog to the vet. The vet did a whole physical and found zero things wrong with her. Said there was absolutely no sign of any hematoma and that there was no signs of matting and that her coat was perfectly fine for winter. This was an unneeded cost and vet visit. The vet was furious that a groomer was even trying to diagnose. Seems to me that this so called “groomer” was being lazy or wanted us to spend more money. I would not recommend using this place for grooming.

Had our puppy there for the first time and will never go again! Not only are they completely unorganized, they had wrong pick up dates which were written differently in two different places, but our puppy is very ill after coming home. They were supposed to give him a bath for departure, which never happened despite my repeated requests! They never mentioned he was sick but upon getting him home he was clearly very sick. We had to take him to the urgent care that night. Do not recommend this place, I can’t speak for other locations but this one is terrible!! Saw dogs drinking out of the pee bucket multiple times on the cameras and workers use water spray bottles to get dogs away from them rather than pet and love them like they claim!

Great place to take your fur-babies! Great staff that’s easy to work with. I guarantee your dog will love this place as much as mine did! Love the fact they have cameras to watch the dogs during the day. Highly recommend!

Full story and reason for my rating (does not even deserve 1 star) below. The short summary is do not expect honesty or professionalism. Both Alex the manager and Lisa the groomer had multiple opportunities to just be honest with me but lied. I picked up my dog 3 hours after his 1 hour grooming appointment, ungroomed and thirsty. I very rarely write online reviews, but highly recommend avoiding this place. I arrived for our 9:30 grooming appointment with Lisa for our golden retriever. This was our second grooming appointment with them (the first went just fine). Alex, the manager, greeted me and said Lisa was not there yet. I told him no problem, I'll just wait, but was curious if she was close. He texted with her and said 10 mins away, but if I wanted I could just leave our dog there and call to explain what I wanted done. I said no thanks, I'll just wait and talk with her as it was our first time with her. I was on my way out 25 minutes later but then Lisa arrived so I went back in and all was OK. I asked when I should come back and she said 2 hours will be fine, she only had 1 dog in front of ours and ours would only take an hour (this told me things were backed up, but I said OK). I called at 12:00 before leaving to pick him up to confirm he was ready. Alex told me he was still waiting to be groomed, he was still drying off after being bathed. I asked him how much longer, he said probably another 1.5 hours. Given my day and that I didn't want my dog sitting there 4+ hours, I told him I would just come pick him up now, no grooming needed. He apologized, I told him I just needed an honest answer. Then Lisa got on and said she was still working on the other dog and that ours would be bathed very soon in 10 minutes (which means I was lied to about him already being bathed and drying off). I told her not to bath him, I will come pick him up now and will just cancel. I picked him up, Alex (the manager) was gone on his break and Lisa failed to even come out and apologize. The person at the front also failed to apologize (or say anything). Once in the car I gave him some water and he drank it like he hadn't been given any water the entire time he was there (not sure if that's the case, I'm just stating what took place). It's customer service 101. Just be honest and transparent with your customer and things will be fine. Even an apology goes a long way, I understand things happen and are out of one's control. Lie or try to deceive and soon you'll have no customers.

Lisa, as usual, did a wonderful job grooming my little Izzy. She is kind and very professional. I highly recommend her!

Best dog daycare in town!!!

We started taking our dog here a few month back and we have had nothing but great experiences. The size of their daycare rooms give our dog plenty of room to roam around and get some exercise. Having the ability to check-in on our dog using their Webcam is very comforting.

We just moved to west Omaha and found Dogtopia online. They fit our German Shepherd Josie in for a meet and greet on the same day we called them. They also had an opening for boarding her for the weekend with short notice. The facility was clean and everyone I’ve been in contact with has been knowledgeable and friendly. Katherine kept in touch to make sure Josie received her medication correctly during her stay. We will definitely be back. Positives are: reasonably priced, dogcams available with multiple playrooms for Josie, suite (room) vs crate for boarding and friendly and knowledgeable staff who all show care for the dogs.

Love that they have a play room with CAMERAS! Love taking my dogs here, awesome staff friendly and knowledgeable. I would highly recommend this Dogtopia!

I’ve only been there once for grooming and once for doggy day care but I was very much impressed with both services. My dog looked great after grooming and the day she went to daycare, she came home very tired and happy. I really like being able to see her on the WebCam throughout the day

Great place for your pup! Love that you can check in on them thru the webcams and they are very flexible with last minute changes. My pup always comes home tired from playing! 10/10

We've had a few wonderful groomers at Dogtopia Omaha West over the last several years. Every time we come in, the groomers and staff know our dog, Drake, and are excited to see him. It's such a positive environment and he loves going in.The groomers do a great job and Drake is always looking his best. There have been several times when he's has needed an emergency bath and the salon has been able to accommodate every time.Dogtopia is always a great choice for Drake!

My dog loves it here, he is always very excited to go and is worn out when I pick him up. It’s also very convenient.

Out pups have been going to Dogtopia weekly for over 4years. They are of a short nosed breed and require a little extra care. They are extremely responsive to the needs of our dogs and we couldn’t be happier!

Awesome staff, VERY nice experience from start-to-finish, and great place to get our dog groomed!! Also I think, their prices are very reasonable!! Recommend!!

After a couple of bad experiences with the location on 156th & Maple - I thankfully came to the 144th & Center location after accidentally scheduling my dogs appointment at this location by mistake. What a happy accident… the customer service was PHENOMENAL and the groomer I spoke with was so sweet to my dog and comforting as she could tell he was a bit nervous. Before while speaking about what needed done (I have a husky) I could tell she was familiar with his breed’s needs. I will definitely be back and I’m glad to see that this location has quality customer service.

Only gave 2 stars because the employees were nice and polite. Otherwise it’s a 1. We left our dogs at this location after being unable to take them to our usual location on portal rd.. The lobby reeked of urine. We’ve left our dogs with them twice. Once just for daycare and then overnight. Every time it’s smelt like dogs have been pissing in there for years and no one has ever cleaned the place. Disgusting!! When we picked our dogs up from the over night. Both over our dogs had solid black feet. The problem is, one of them is Albino and is solid white. They both also smelt like they had been bathed in urine. This is unacceptable! Almost abusive.

Everyone was so polite and helpful. They made my whinnie feel comfortable and happy. She has truly never liked to be groomed until now..she lives Dogtopia!????????

Our dog loves visiting Dogtopia! The staff is so kind and friendly, always happy to see our dog. Knowing that he's happy and safe while there makes Dogtopia a no-brainer for us.

They have a good play room with cameras to see your dog.

They did a great job grooming 2 doodles (one of which had never been to a groomer). My dogs left happy and beautiful.

I love being able to check in on my pup during the day! He always comes home from daycare exhausted, which is an added bonus! The team at the Omaha-West location is the best!

We took our high energy dog to another doggie day care place, until it covid closed. We were AMAZED when we took her to Dogtopia. 9 hours of play time, she is worn out when she comes home ( never ever happened at the other place) The staff is friendly and loving with Molly, and it always smells clean! Highly recommend!

Took my dog here for the first time when I went on a short trip and it was great. Ended up getting him groomed the following week. Both experiences were great!
