Awesome people work here!!! They got us in the same day we called, listened to our concerns with our puppy as well as answered all our questions. They truly love the fur babies, the Dr. was talking to our puppy telling her what he was going to have to do. Our puppy got better quickly with their help.

Only good thing I can say is they got me in on short notice on a Saturday when my dog got hurt, otherwise it was like an assembly line, still have not met the vet and burned out impersonal employees

Took my puppy in for her first visit; everything was simple, all the staff were super nice, and the cost didn't break the bank!

My dogs have problems with ear infections being a consistent problem. I have on more than one occasion asked for a treatment ointment that I can use myself at home. They won't give me one and keep asking to come back everytime. Money pit unfortunately. Almost all of visits have been around or north of $300 each time whether I bring one or both. Last visit was cheaper but we have to keep coming back for an ear infection. If you can't help the owners out with self cleaning/ maintenance at home then I it sure feels like it's all about the money. And that's not a very good feeling.

My special-needs toy maltipoo pupper needed immediately care. He was lethargic and excessively vomiting and had blood in his fecal deposit and uncontrollable diarrhea. Due to a cancer diagnosis and it being a tough time in general economically and my usual vet was unwilling to squeeze him in without 500 dollar after hours deposit ???????? I looked up capitol and they welcomed Tom in right away with open arms. They knew it was serious and worked with Me within my means financially. They put him on antibiotics and taught me all the home care stuff and booked him for x-rays on a Saturday even with a full schedule. He had bleeding in his belly and if it weren't for them he may not be alive today. He is on antibiotics and on his road to recovery. Capitol Vet staff are my hero's!????????????????????????‍♂️????‍♀️????????????????????????‍????????????!

Should you be seeking compassion, sympathy/empathy, or life long care, seek other care such as Polaris Veterinary. On two separate occasions, I had to have loved animals here. The first time was my miniature dachshund for a teeth cleaning. My vet was out of town when my dog needed emergency care, and this was where I could get her in soonest. I was charged more for teeth pullings than I was the cleaning. I was never contacted prior to teeth pullings to be asked if I was good with the amount. There were 14 total! I continue to get emails stating it's my dog's birthday and she needs treatments; however, her birthday was in November and this was in January/February. The next unfortunate visit was Monday 2.17.2020 when my sister had to bring her ferret in after being attacked by my husky. They're the only vet my sister is aware of to treat ferrets. My sister brought in "Elsa" to see if anything could be done. She was told they'd monitor her for a few hours to see what happens. I called to check on Elsa, so did my sister. Dr. Welty said nothing could be done other than an oxygen therapy, and nothing else would help if this. She was emotional and distraught so I called to get information. I talked to a gal identifying herself as Maya. She told me Elsa had been shaved, her injuries externally were superficial, and she should recover along with she had been picked up. This was just under an hour since Elsa had been there. When I said, "Oh, my sister didn't mention she'd been picked up, but asked me to call." She then put me on hold and said she would double check. Then Dr. Welty came on the line to say they could either do nothing or do an oxygen therapy. Essentially everything Maya told me was wrong, and nothing to do with Elsa. I made it clear I was calling for Elsa the emergency vet brought in that afternoon. Apparently nothing Maya told me was accurate as to what happened. I was shocked I was told the completely wrong information and made to believe Elsa was ok, and expected to survive, but then to find out she wasn't doing well and was unstable. I said to do the oxygen therapy as I was paying and wanted anything done they could to save Elsa. Dr. Welty said he'd call back in 20min after the treatment. Next, my sister text saying Elsa didn't make it. I called and asked for Dr. Welty, and was told by a guy Dr.welty wasn't available. This made no sense as he had just called my sister. After 2 min on hold, Dr. Welty came on the phone. Him telling me Elsa had passed was expressed with less empathy, sympathy, or emotion than someone who found out a cockroach was killed. Dr. Welty expressed zero kindness or emotion with this sensitive situation. He couldn't have cared less a beloved family pet died. I will never ever ever come here again. It was a rough situation, and day in itself, but then to have a vet be so uncompassionate was icing on the BS cake.

Great first visit with my cat, extremely friendly Dr's/staff. They made follow up phone calls that made me feel as if they had a genuine interest in my understanding of my pet's health. Would recommend!

I will never return there, as I took my dog who was sick and slowly deteriorating from his health.... Long story short, I requested for all test to be done, and the lumps on his neck and chest for cancer.... Also wanted to know if his lungs were ok.... Vet comes in tells me everything is fine, lungs sound good, all he has is a UTI, so I get meds and give them to him as prescribed by the vet just to return a week later for my pup to pass away on the table.... Lungs taken over by cancer.... N they are now trying to stick me with a second bill for over 400 bucks!!! Turn and run, find someone who really knows what they are doing, cuz watching your best friend suffer a hole week before dying is to much for anyone to have to go thru!!!

We take our dog and our cat here. They are incredibly kind, helpful and sweet. They were good and patient with both of our fur babies. They also have the CUTEST little kitties roaming around inside that we love to visit. I've always been weary of veterinarians, but I would trust these people with any animal of mine. Thank you all so much for being so incredibly wonderful to our animals and to us every time we come in.

I got the bad news my best friend has cancer and it's terminal. The female veterinarian was so kind and helpful. She looked at my dogs issues from every possible angle, and did all she could to ensure that all bases were covered so that my doggo left with (hopefully) all she needs to be comfortable and happy in the remaining time she has here in this lifetime with me.

Our 10 year old dog was rescued at 6 mo. and continues to be fearful in spite of years of training. I have been thrilled with how the staff at Capitol Animal Clinic has helped Teddy. He still complains a bit when we pull into the parking lot, but he seems happy to see his friends once we are inside the clinic. Thank you so much.

I would give them a great awesome review, but they messed up in a prescription. They told us the prescription give for our kitten was going to last 7 day which they claim they gave us 14ml of some liquid. Well it wasn't 14 ml it was less because we were 2 days short, so they gave us 10 ml. We went back and charge us for another one. Knowing they had messed up on their side. They are great people, but terrible at taking complains. Specially when they messed up on their side.

Dr. Dager and the team at Capitol Animal Clinic was there in our time of need. They returned my best friend to good health within a few days and for that I am grateful.

Small facility but affordable and they care about your pets. Plus it’s always fun interacting with the office cats that call the office their home.
