Strohbehn Veterinary Clinic Council Bluffs, Nebraska

I’m always hesitant to give a poor review because I’m empathetic towards any business working to help others. However, when canceling an appointment, or trying to and being sent to voicemail all day, and the receptionist lecturing me about how my 2 minute check up on a bandage could have been someone else’s, infuriates me. No, I did not leave a voicemail because my questions needed addressing on the call, so I reached out to another vet that answers their phones (got voicemail 3 different times when trying to cancel or reschedule). Stating that I had been in the hospital with my mother fighting Covid pneumonia and her stating “it’s a tough world” is not somewhere I will ever take my animal again. After reading reviews from years past that state the rudeness and complete disregard to clients emotions or concerns, clearly nothing is being done with their staff. I will call and leave a voicemail after hours just so I don’t have to talk to a receptionist to cancel my appointment. I’ll gladly pay twice as much for a clinic that has a staff that cares about the owner just as much as the pet. On a positive note, I believe the veterinarian did a great job and had professional, empathetic and courteous work ethic. Wish that could be passed down to the other staff members.

Loved Dr and the staff. They took good care of my crazy boys and made sure we had a plan to get them at a healthy weight.

I want to thank the staff at Strohbehn Veterinarian Clinic for helping me say goodbye to my boy, Onyx. He was very loved. The staff at the clinic were very kind and compassionate. Thank you. Also, thank you and staff for caring for my Bolty Boy. He recovery well after his neuter. We appreciate all of the care and aftercare for him.

We had to uplift our beloved 15 year old, Great Pyrenees. The staff at Strobehn's were so kind and considerate in assisting Morganna's passing, as they are with every appointment. We won't go anywhere else.

I like these vets, they don't try to do extra! My shih-tzu is 5 and i have brought him here for everything including eye surgery and being fixed

We had brought our dog here, after taking her to several other vets who did not know how to help her or were charging us an insane amount of money. Unfortunately, she ended up going over the rainbow bridge. We were completely devastated. The staff and Dr Strohbehn were nothing short of amazing....and ridiculously tolerant of us during this difficult time. (trust me when I say my boyfriend is nothing short of a handful) They went up and beyond anything we could had expected and took amazing care of our girl. We will be forever grateful. There’s several vets out there, however this is probably one of the few that I believe truly are in it because they care, and not all about the money.

Very Helpful???? After I left a message about faxing my kitty's info to Animal Control for 2021 renewal license, I received a call back to say they had just faxed info.

Excellent people who love their clients

The veterinarians are very good with animals They treat them as if they were ther own animals. They explain how to take care of them at home if needed. They also go through medicines if they are needed.
