VCA Amherst Animal Hospital Butte, Montana

Was early for my 9am appointment didn't see the vet till 913.... the most expensive vet I've ever seen.(the quality of service definitely not worth the $)I've raised boxers for the last 14 years and the vet talked to me like I was child that just got her 1st puppy. Terrible experience!

VCA Amherst Animal Hospital has treated our fur babies like family while we have been working in Butte from out of town. We are so thankful for them! We found a mass on our 8-year-old bulldog’s hind leg that looked pretty scary and they took action immediately sending cells to pathology and then removing the mass completely. Thankfully it wasn’t cancer! They have also taken care of our 13-year-old hound mix with his kidney and stomach issues while we have been here over the past eight weeks as well. We have been seeing Dr. Fellin and she has just been wonderful; she is so knowledgeable, kind, and explains everything so you understand exactly what is going on. The vet techs are amazing too especially Jamie and Ryan. The whole staff is great really! I am so glad we chose VCA Amherst!!

Dr. Danks, her Vet Tech and the staff that I dealt with were great. After having a bad experience with another place in town, I took my dog Molly here. They took the time to explain everything and answer all my questions. They were responsive when I called while she was in surgery. They care about the pets and owners! Thanks!!!

I had a great experience my dog was experiencing seizures and they were able to get me in right me as a new patient and calm my nerves they took such great care of my boy!! The staff is so friendly the dr was great and the tech Jaime is so amazing so kind and knowledgeable so happy I made the switch!! Highly recommend!

My Spaniel was bit in the shoulder by a rattlesnake up Pipestone and we rushed him to Dr. Lance. She was kind, responsive, and saved his life. We are thankful for the hospital taking us emergently and taking care of our fur baby!

We’ve been taking our 2 dogs to Amherst for several years. 1 of our dogs is diabetic and you couldn’t ask for a better vet than Dr. Lance to care for him. Our other dog needed emergency treatment a couple weeks ago and the on call vet (Danyale) for Amherst went out of her way to get our SamSam treatment and although the diagnosis wasn’t good, she guided us through it and called several times throughout her illness to check on her. All the staff at Amherst are very friendly and helpful, and truly care about the animals they treat.

Amherst Animal Hospital took very good care of my dog, as they had to give me some very sad news about my dog. They took good care of me too.

Wonderful and kind end of life care for my sick kitty. I appreciate the quality of care and compassion!

Very nice and compassionate people

This is my first family, two dogs and a cat. I moved to Montana in October so our first appointment in November was quite the juggle. I had Artemis(the cat) in a bag, Athena(the puppy) in my arms and Atlas(big brown dog) on a leash. Dr Peretti checked them all out and gave everyone what they needed with ease. Athena had two more appointments that were just as soon and now everyone is up to date!

Just took for er care they were awesome

I have taken my kiddo here for years at this point, ever since she was first brought home just about 9 1/2 years ago. This last week really brought home how amazing these vets are. We have primarily seen Dr. Lance with Isis and were able to get in quickly when she began to show symptoms that were worrisome. She made sure to get a solid diagnosis for us, as well as a price out of what to expect for the emergency surgery that she needed. We saw Dr. Lance on Monday, and she was in and ready for surgery on Wednesday morning. Isis looks like a whole different girl now and we are so thankful for both of the vets that worked on our baby and saved her life this week. This is the only place I will ever take her, and the first vet clinic in town that I will recommend to anyone that asks. Our girl is still our 'team mascot' thanks to the quick and thorough work that Amherst does and our entire family sends many many thank yous!

The staff is so wonderful and have taken great care of our cat, dogs and chicken! Dr. Danks is amazing and the prices are reasonable ????

I say it was amazing! They help me find affordable care for my babies and help me find out one was very sick:( but hes on antibiotics and is doing better

Our cat was not feeling better after we took her to a different vet in town, so we decided to give Amherst a shot. They fit us in even though they were pretty booked. Every staff member was so kind and caring! The doctors and techs truly cared about our cat, making sure we understood what her diagnosis and treatment was, and took their time with us. I’m so thankful for this vet clinic and we will always use them in the future. I highly recommend this animal clinic.

They did a great job on my puppies surgery and were very caring. Thier prices are very expensive and they try to upsale you on everything but all in all a great Vet clinic.

They only care about $ period 45 min wait for nothing they wanted over $800.00 for a teeth cleaning and maybe a couple of extractions. I got it done elsewhere for $181.50..

They sre the best place to take your fur babies. Mine love them!!

Even during this crazy pandemic they still let you go in to be with your pet. Most vets didn't allow this. It gave my pets so much comfort having one of us with them.
