I’m very impressed at the care and thoroughness of my appointment recently, I had been worried crazy to no avail about my Kitty’s itching issue and it felt like a weight lifted off my shoulder when our vet took the time to ask numerous questions and take many factors into account as to what could be the issue instead of examining her fur and sending us home with no real explanation. It really seemed like they cared about getting to the root of the issue instead of getting me in and out. Would highly recommend them.

The vets here are animal lovers and tell it like it is. Their primary focus is to do what's best for the animal. We have been taking our dogs to them for more than 10 years and can't imagine going anywhere else.

The doc's and staff are very professional and kind. They treated my lil dog (a Chiweenie), Gomez, very gentle and the wait time was minimal. I recommend this Vet office to everyone I know.

This is a wonderful veterinary office. They show a lot of love to my pets when they are treating them. So lucky to have them.

Excellent veterinarians and staff. Honest and do not push product you don't need to run up the bill.

A place that does care about animals!

This place is AMAZING! I’ve had to take my dog her twice in the past 3 months, both of which were medical emergencies. I actually wasn’t a patient here beforehand and only called in a panic. Luckily, they took me in ASAP. My pup had to have urgent surgery and Dr. Hoernig had no problem squeezing her in. He took exceptional care of Skittles (my puppy). Her recovery was fast and easy. I brought her back for something unrelated this week, and Dr. Hoernig again went above and beyond. He definitely cares for these animals, and goes WAY out of his way by staying late after hours, always keeping in contact, and also ensures they are in the best shape possible before returning home. He has saved my dogs life TWICE. I don’t even live in St. Peter’s anymore, but will gladly make the 30 minute+ trip. Also, their prices are SUPER cheap. I spent less than $900 on her surgery, and that’s including the few days of recovery/medicine.

The staff at Mexico Road Animal Hospital were very professional. They are stopping everyone in the parking lot currently to keep the amount of people in the lobby to a minimum. You have a choice to accompany your pet into the building or wait in your vehicle. The Veterinarian examined my pet and asked questions about his overall health. Very friendly and listened to my concerns. My bill was brought to me in the examine room and everything was very organized.

We have been going here around 12 years or so. Im writing this review in regards to my wife because countless times she has praised Dr. Hoernig. I have been there several times in the past and was great but my wife is very impressed with this place now. Let me say this it is very hard during a pandemic to run any kind of business and please everyone. But that being said what I like to hear and very pleased is that safety should always be first. So thank you from us and the great job you do with our dogs.

Awesome place, cheap prices, great people

Receptionist was no help and very rude.

Been going here for 20 years. Last week my dog needed to be seen emergently, I called them when they opened. Their response was we are booked. This would have been an unacceptable response when Dr. Bucheit owned this establishment. If you cannot count on your vet for emergency service it is time to change vets.

Great Vets = Great Pets. I have had my pets here and the Vets do the job and are sharp. Great staff too!

Need to get rid of just letting a tech take ur pet in to see the vet. While u have to remain in the car.

The place just isn't the same since they have a new Vet,I had been going there for 30 +years and sadly have switched to a different vetenariian at this time.

All I want to say is I will never bring any of my pets to this place again. My mother suggested this vet after she has brought all our family dogs here and she is even second guessing returning. If you have any breed that is an "aggressive" breed do not bring your pets here they are scared of them. There is plenty more to say about my dogs visit but I'm keeping it simple.

This is the most impressive vet office I’ve dealt with in sometime. They take amazing care of my two dogs. I’ve called them in a panic and they’ve been able to get me in same day. They have really friendly staff, the vets are so kind and patient. You can tell they really love their jobs! This is a busy practice but I never feel rushed in the exam room. They do everything on site and at a very reasonable cost. We’ve had sedation, teeth cleaning, imaging, labs, and needed special food at various times and they’ve taken such good care in every aspect without breaking the bank! They do only take cash, but they’ve been fine with me running out to the atm and getting money! They do also take checks. I think that by keeping the clinic simpler they are able to provide such exceptional care at such a great cost. I’m so impressed with this office every time I take my dogs in!

Everyone is super sweet and helpful. They truly go above and beyond. Super personable and caring. They truly put your fur babies first from start to finish. Not to mention they are reliable, professional, responsive, trustworthy and value there clients. Very reasonable and upfront pricing on everything. This I know all to well having 2 fur babies. One being 16 years old (Charcoal Baby). The other almost 2 (Mia). I feel so blessed to be apart of the Mexico Rd Animal Hospital.

Been going here for 40 years. Dr Bucheit always has taken great care of our animals. And Dr K has been amazing through the sickness of our dog

The vets here are very patient with my dog. The prices are average and I can always stop by for meds or dog food without having a long wait. Just remember they only take cash or check. No debit or credit cards.
