My dog hurt it’s paw on the 22nd and I called six times and left two messages on the answering machine with no return call until Monday the 27th. The voicemail said we are busy treating pets and will return call. I’m very disappointed and had to go elsewhere for services. If they were closed for the holidays then both the voicemail and website should have been updated.

I have been coming to Fischer Animal Hospital for 23 years. I have always received the best care for my dogs. Most recently my 9 year old Goldendoodle who has a neurological disorder needed her meds adjust. They took great care of her. Even called a few days later to see how she was doing. I've called with many questions and they are always happy to answer. I was also taking care of my sister's dog while she was away and she became sick. After calling her own vet who was rude to me. I called Fischer's several times with questions. They were happy to answer the questions I had on how to care for her while sick. I made an appointment for her their the next day. Unfortunately overnight I had to take her to the emergency vet. That next week I had to bring my dog back in for a follow up appt. Everyone was asking me how my sisters dog was. They were asking about her by name. Everyone here is very sweet, very caring and most importantly knowledgeable about care regarding our pets. I love that one person can now come inside during an appt. I really like that before they do anything right there they give you a total on what things are going to cost. They are understanding if you can only do the most important things at that time. We love our fur baby but things add up. They don't make you feel bad for not choosing everything. We come up with a plan together for what is best at that time.

They were wonderful. They helped us through a very difficult time with our dog Yaddie, and I am grateful for their compassion. I will never take an animal I own anywhere else!

I have gone to Fischer animal Hospital for years. Now that is no longer owned by Fischer it has gone down hill. I am aggravated and upset that I’m not allowed to go in with my pet for the visit. I understand curbside check-in and precautions. I’ve had my vaccinations for Covid and there’s no one else here. So not allowing me to go in with my anxious pet is total and other nonsense. The new vet seems more concerned with making money than with caring for people with anxious pets. We will be finding a different provider and I suggest everybody else does the same.

A wonderfully assistive medical group. My pup had not seen a vet in a terribly long time before I got him and they gave no judgment on our situation and did everything in their power to make sure Luke had the best, most comprehensive care. Thank you so much!

My dog, Blu, has an inoperable liver shunt. I have been very pleased with all the staff with their continued support and help to keep Blu happy and comfortable for as long as he has with us. It’s great to have a vet that listens to you and is willing to go above and beyond to research his condition to make sure he’s getting everything he needs. I would highly recommend Fischer Animal Hospital!

Our usual vet was not able to fit in an appointment for our kitten, whose eye was infected and getting worse, so I called Fischer Animal Hospital and they were able to get us an appointment almost immediately! The staff were all very kind and helpful and made the visit go smoothly. Dr. Mike was incredible! As their clinic only allows pets in (due to Covid) he spoke to us on the phone for 10-15 minutes while he evaluated our pet and developed a treatment plan with us. He explained everything so clearly and helped us make an informed decision about our pets care. I really appreciate the care he put into our visit. In the future I'm gonna return to Fischer rather than our old vet.

Everybody there is so nice and I have a very high-energy dog who's very upset when you touch his nails. My groomer fired me so I have to take him to the animal hospital to have his nails trimmed and they are very good with him I'm very patient.

After calling to make our annual appointment, I was told that my dog would be kenneled and that I would not be able to be present with her during her visit with the vet. When I expressed concern over this, the receptionist was extremely rude and cut me off mid sentence. I get it, that protocols have changed, however it was the way that it was handled and the poor customer service that made me stop in my tracks. The previous two visits I left feeling like maybe things were changing here. Now, it's clear that it is time to look elsewhere. What a shame that this hospital has taken a turn in the quality of service!

I absolutely love this vet. I have taken two frenchies and two kitties to them and they get the best care. Sadly, last year one of my frenchies had to be put down as she was extremely sick. The amount of care and compassion they have shared is really amazing and it’s shown me that we are more than an account to them. They truly care about the health and well-being of our pets. Dr. Kyle also performed two mastectomies on my other frenchie and she is doing great! She’s a pretty healthy senior and Dr Kyle knew exactly how to handle the complex anesthesia that comes into play with frenchies. I have never been concerned about my dogs in their care. Most recently, they have cared for my other animals and they are timely, considerate, communicate well, and make reasonable recommendations for caring for our fur family. We are customers for the lifetime of our pets as long as we stay in this area. If you’re looking for a vet, don’t look anymore. These guys are worth every penny.

Came here a few times for a few different pets. One of our ferrets died very unexpectedly. I had called them to make an appointment and they said based on what they heard He needed a vet ASAP, we took action immediately at their advice. Unfortunately when we arrived home Black had already passed away. Heartbroken we called to cancel any appointments made. This is where the 5 stars are. Fischer Animal Hospital not only was sympathetic to the news, they sent us a card. Signed by the staff and doctor. They also sent a Donation to Mizzou Vet program in honor of our lost baby. I can not imagine ever getting this treatment from any other vet I have ever visited. My husband and I would like to say from the bottom of our hearts, Thank you all so much. We appreciate that touch of kindness in our lives when we were at a loss. Thank you for the way you treated not only us and our pets but the Memory Of Black who was more than just a ferret.

We have been having issues with our cat not using the litter box since we introduced a new kitten to the house. My husband and I are pretty certain it's behavioral, but we wanted to rule out any medical issues just to be sure. The vet techs could not extract any urine from our cat when we brought him in (I tried collecting urine before the visit to no avail). So, Fischer Animal Hospital sold us a kit to get urine from our cat, which was essentially beads to put in the litter box. They also gave us very specific directions on when to get the urine back to the office after we collected it from the cat, which indicated we couldn't let the urine sit for too long in order to get the most accurate results. Makes sense. With those time constraints, both my husband and I working full time jobs combined with the hours the vet is open, a little one at home, and not being as concerned that this was not even a medical issue, we did not get the urine sample from our cat for a few months after the appointment. So, when were finally able to get the urine from our cat, my husband brought it to the office to get it tested. They gave the urine BACK to him and told him they needed to see our cat back in the office since too much time had passed. WE WERE NEVER TOLD THAT OUR CAT WOULD HAVE TO BE BROUGHT BACK IN IF TOO MUCH TIME HAD PASSED, OR THAT WE NEEDED TO COLLECT THE URINE WITHIN A CERTAIN AMOUNT OF TIME OF BEING SEEN BY THE VET. Even with my husband trying to explain all of this, they did not seem to care at all. Instead of taking the urine that we took the time to get and bring into the office within a sufficient amount of time, they HANDED IT BACK TO HIM and would not take it. They would only tell him that they needed to see our cat back in the office. We have spent an astronomical amount of money on all of our pets at this vet in just the year we have been taking our pets here - more than any other vet I have ever been to. We started taking our pets here because it was close to home and had fantastic reviews. Needless to say, we are extremely disappointed and will not be bringing our pets back here.

I received a survey from the office and I answered it honestly. I received an email from them wanting to discuss the survey and and I spoke what I thought was the truth and their response was we will mark you account inactive so you won't be bothered by us and good luck find a new vet. Now I have been taking my dogs to them for over 30 yrs and this is how the new staff deals with issues. My complaint was their prices for the services was extremely high compared others in the area. I tried to share a link to the local neighborhood chat which show close to a hundred people feel the same but I was told that my comment was deleted form their webpage. I am truly sorry to see this happen but I guess they are doing me a favor by tell me to basically find someone else

One of the best vet experiences I have had since moving to Missouri almost 2 years ago. Even under all the quarantine and social distancing they did a great job of Keeping everyone safe and yet keeping me well informed on my cats visit. This was our first time there and will definitely be staying with them for all our animals needs!
