I was very impressed with this place from the start. I was never a fan of our previous daycare's customer service and had to ask to get a tour. When you do your "sniff around" here, I feel like The Watering Bowl makes a point to give you a tour and let you know about their processes/policies.

For the Dog Grove location who conveniently closed their reviews on their own Facebook page. I picked my dogs up yesterday 11/23/21. Today Both dogs were taken to emergency vet today and they have some sort of kennel cough and are on antibiotics and cough suppressant. One of our dog’s nose was also looked at due to two significant (and aged) wounds and are being treated accordingly. This whole trip has been an ordeal, from the sniff arounds, not getting shot records, to scheduling to having to reschedule because “I wasn’t in the system”Their total lack of professionalism is unbelievable and I can only imagine how they truly treat the dogs behind closed doors. I’m in the process of also contacting BBB, Animal control/ Regulation, ACFA and the state Animal Health Division due to the lack of professionalism standards including their lack to ability to respond to email requests to provide documentation of the incidents.

Our dogs favorite place. She starts barking once we turn into their street. We board there sometimes but mainly daycare. We're sure they highly contributed to Mala being super well adjusted to interact with all kind of dogs. Also appreciate them correcting jumping when the excitement is getting super high :)

We really love The Watering Bowl (Grove) and the entire Staff. Feel like we're part of a family there. We are so lucky to live just blocks from this location, it's huge yard, and it's in house Training at Butt Sniffers Academy???? but the Staff is by far, the Biggest Asset !! They are happy, helpful and energetic!! Their love for our pets and their job is obvious. Hats off to the entire staff!!

I want to start this off by saying that, for the most part, I loved my job here. I would have stayed long term had I not been treated so poorly by upper and middle management. I was assaulted by my manager on the night of June 12th/morning of June 13th. I removed myself from the situation, let the other manager know what happened, and waited for a call about a resolution. I also filed a police report in the morning after I had gotten some sleep and calmed down. Well the call I got is that, in their eyes, I walked off the job and I was now fired. Or, I guess, quit-fired. I had never been so much as written up, I had near perfect attendance with only one call out and one day where I had to leave early, I always did my work well and on time or early. But I guess the manager who had assaulted me had more pull with the owners as he had been working there five years, so as the new guy I got the short end of the stick. I did attempt to talk to HR but got radio silence which feels a bit odd as they were so excited to hire me in the first place. Now I'm just leaving it up to the legal system. We'll see. The dogs are very well taken care of here but I wouldn't suggest supporting a business that treats loyal employees this way. Just my two cents.

My dog loves this place but unfortunately after only a few visits here he got sick. My vet said he definitely picked it up from bring around other dogs. He hasn’t been able to return to daycare for 3 weeks now. Hopefully he gets better.

To be clear, I'm pro Watering Bowl. I'm just frustrated w current policy and since no one at Grove seems to take initiative, this seems to be my only way of reaching the people who need to see it, since I was denied to speak w administration. I'm getting more and more upset with how they handle kennel cough. I realize it's spreading like crazy right now but no one notified me that they had several outbreaks. If that were the case, I would have kept mine home. Their policy after just speaking with them is, when a dog is dropped off and at some point they notice they are wheezing or hacking they isolate till pickup. The first time they saw that, everyone should have been sent an email if your dog was there that day. I don't want to find out after mine is sick. I have an older dog who doesn't go to daycare and I don't need my younger one getting her ill. They really need to rethink their policy on this. It's irresponsible to not notify someone of potential kennel cough expose.

I have had a great experience with the watering bowl previously. I always find the staff extremely kind and helpful. I noticed a review from a week ago mentioning their dog contracted kennel cough. I boarded my dog last weekend and he came home with kennel cough as well. Unfortunately, his kennel cough turned into pneumonia and he is now on a lot of medications for the next week and a half. I realize there is always a risk of kennel cough and dogs can contract kennel cough even when they are vaccinated. I also know since my dog is a pug, he is more likely to have respiratory issues. I do not blame the Watering Bowl for his kennel cough. He also was not showing symptoms when he left. However, I do with there was more transparency about kennel cough cases so customers can evaluate the risk. I know I informed the WB about my dog’s kennel cough and have not seen any disclaimer on social media. I attached an example of a disclaimer sent out by my mom’s kennel and would suggest maybe following a similar protocol. Thank you for taking good care of my dog when he is there. I appreciate the quality of the grooming, the daily pictures and videos, and the kindness of the staff. I hope to just offer a suggestion moving forward while understanding the risk attached to cage-free daycare. I also am very open to changing my review if more transparency occurs. Thank you!

DO NOT RECOMMEND. I took my dog to the watering bowl to be boarded for a week while I was out of town. We went to the sniff around and loved the idea of open kennels, and with constant reassurance that he would have lots of love and fun every day, I purchased a 10 day boarding pass, and we decided to it was a good place to board him. However, by Tuesday he started coughing and was put in isolation for the rest of his stay. I had a friend pick him up early from boarding, and when he left, he was terrified of anyone and everyone. He was diagnosed and is currently being treated for a severe upper respiratory infection. He got so sick that he lost around 5 pounds, wouldn’t eat, and was constantly coughing. It took two days to get him to warm back up to me and my family. The only other time he ever acted like this was when he was rescued out of an abusive home. He will NEVER be going back. They also refused to give me a refund or any compensation for the days left unused on the boarding pass.

I have been taking my dog to the Watering Bowl for years and have used several of their locations. The staff everywhere is fantastic, super friendly, truly care about my fur baby. My dog is always very excited to go and they treat her like she is one of their own. There's really no other place I would take her.

The best place to care for your pups! My two rescue dogs enjoy their time here and they're not the easiest to deal with but somehow the staff at the Dog Grove location has figured them out. I highly recommend

My partner and I have been taking our dog, Captain Dog, to the Watering Bowl for 3 years now. When we decided our dog would benefit from one-on-one training, we decided to go to Laura Pieczynski, since we have always had good experiences at The Watering Bowl. Despite high expectations, we were blown away by our experience training with Laura. Captain took a liking to Laura in our first training session. Laura was both calm and stern with Captain, illustrating she could easily work with big, energetic dogs. She showed us how much she enjoyed engaging with Captain and Captain showed us how much he trusted Laura in return. Laura knew she was training a working dog breed. She brought energy to our training sessions, and as a result, Captain was more fulfilled from being challenged and stimulated during the session. Laura also showed us how to help Captain calm down quickly by giving him something to focus on when he was otherwise distracted or misbehaving. Not only did Laura train our dog, but she also taught us so much about the way Captain communicates and what he needs in a training relationship. Training challenges that seemed so daunting before our sessions now feel manageable because of how much better we and Captain understand each other. Equipped with a better ability to read Captain, it's clear he had fun in his sessions with Laura, as evidenced by how he now heads straight for the training room instead of the playroom at The Watering Bowl. It can be a challenge to raise a large, energetic dog like Captain. For that reason, the most important lesson Laura provided, was a reminder that Captain is a 'good boy' and we are right to be proud of him. We're so thankful for our experience with Laura and we can't recommend her training program enough. In fact, if Captain pulls us on his leash again, you can bet he'll be dragging us to Laura's training room.

Been going for a couple years. They're always friendly and it's easy to see they care about my dog. I've never had any issues they couldn't straighten out or fix. And my dog loves the place, which is probably most important.

Today was the fourth time I took my 14 week old lab Big Walt here for puppy daycare. I've only done the half days (5 hours) so far because he's little but I can't say enough good things about this specific location! Today when I went to get him out of the car and give him some snuggles, he was so excited to get in he jumped out with his tail wagging and ran to the door. When we walked in all the girls welcomed him by his name and he was SO excited to go play with his friends! Every time I pick him up he falls asleep almost instantly in the car, and he's such a calm boy for the rest of the night. I truly trust the people who work there to look after him and I'm so glad to know he's having fun socializing and playing with other dogs. Also, their prices are amazing which is awesome for this college kid. I recommend this place to everyone!
