Dr. Shaw and all of the staff, techs and nurses are the best. They have taken care of my dog just like they would their own. I will be forever grateful to have found them! Our dog has had some serious issues and they have handled them beautifully and with love and compassion. You can't ask for anything better! This is the best place for my dog and I know when I come here I am doing the best I can for her. Thank you so much Kingsbury Hospital and Dr. Shaw!!

I just want to say how great the staff and Dr. Shaw are. They diagnosed my cat with a pretty severe heart murmur and got us a referral to VSS. When we went to do a dental, Dr. Shaw went above and beyond to call us and recommended and refer us to a dental specialist instead because of her heart disease. They said they could try but felt her heart disease warranted someone who is more experienced with heart disease and anesthesia. They could have went ahead and done the dental and made money off it. But Dr. Shaw laid it out plain and simple and I am so grateful for that.

We have taken all our dogs from over two decades to Dr. Shaw. Him and his staff are some of the kindest most passionate people that you could have take care of your pets.

The vets seem to always be changing. They never have availability and I always seem to get a voicemail when I call. Not to mention the prices are very high. If you have other options I wouldn’t recommend this place.

We have used Kingsbury since we moved to STL over 7 years ago. Dr. Shaw is one of the most amazing vets we have ever witnessed! He is fully dedicated to your animal(s) and treats them as if they alone are the only thing to exist. He has supported us and been through the darkest times with our pups. We cannot begin to express how truly wonderful and selfless of a man he and his staff is. They will take are of your animal as if it was one of their very own. You will always be grateful with everyone at KAH.

When my dog of 14 years got cancer they helped me through it. They would respond immediately to my cares and concerns with the utmost compassion. Then 4 days after she died they sent me a beautiful bouquet to honor her passing.

This place is the best! We needed assistance over a Holiday weekend, and they helped us immediately through the “contact us” feature. I was able to text back and forth with our actual Vet, and he filled out a form we needed in a crunch. Amazing service!

Amazing staff and service! My dog is very difficult at the vet and they have always worked with me to accommodate him, including on a tumor removal surgery. Even when he is hard to deal with, the staff are still smiling and happy to see us and care for him. Can't thank them enough for the great service they provide. Facilities are clean, billing is easy, appointments are easy. Highly recommend.

Absolutely fantastic animal hospital! I took my elderly cat here to get his teeth cleaned. He had to be put under, and we were incredibly worried, but the staff answered all of my questions, and they took wonderful care of my animal. I'll be taking my pets here for many years to come!

Has been our family vet for many years. Always there with a smile & the puppies love them. As is the usual, prices for meds & tests could be better. Way too much for care costs. Best bet in town!!!

Do not call this place if you're looking for someone to listen to your questions! I've worked customer service for over a decade and I cannot imagine treating a customer the way I was treated on the phone. Seriously, he was condescending and started lecturing me about a national veterinarian shortage before I even got the chance to explain why I was calling.

1) they only do visits by appointment, so if you make this your regular vet, and you have an urgent issue, you will not be able to go to your regular doctor 2) I have NEVER spoken to a staff that wasn’t RUDE AF. literally every time I call them, it seems to be some different person, but it’s like they get training in being a$$holes.

Extremely unprofessional and poor customer service. Was told how dangerous it was for our dog to not have a tooth extraction, and staff informed us that they would block out two time slots for us to get the procedure done. We planned our schedules around getting her tooth pulled, but were informed the day of that they booked the two time slots for other people because we did not call to confirm. We were never told to do so and we were not given any heads up through phone or email. Called today to complain, and was brushed off by the person answering the phone. Asked where I could make a complaint, and was told she'd "let the staff know I was annoyed." To me, it feels like they don't care about the health of my dog. As someone working in healthcare, it's extremely unprofessional to me that they don't have channels to even make a complaint and doubt they even care about us or our animal. After this experience, we're definitely switching animal hospitals for our dog. Prior visits were also not very pleasant. Edit: For those unfamiliar with the timeline of events: 2 weeks ago, we brought in our dog for a checkup and the provider recommended a tooth extraction for high risk of infection. We were offered 2 appointment dates and we were planning to choose the November 17th date, but we were still unsure. We were then told they would block out both dates for us and we could just call back later if we didn't want the appointments. We, probably like any other layman out there, who don't understand that "blocking out" means to give the appointment to other people, thought these would be our appointment times and thus changed our schedules to accommodate the procedure. I honestly was probably just going to remove my review if they reached out and just apologized through call or this post. However, instead, I was laughed at by one of the staff members (or their spouse) with my review on their Facebook page and seemingly they reached out to or paid people to write a few new positive reviews (the last review before mine on Facebook was from a year ago and one of the new posts talks about Kingsbury's "great communication ability"). If you want to be treated well, definitely don't come here. I can't believe I utilized their services up until now. You can view other reviews with similar experiences with me in regards to the toxic staff. We have notified the animal organizations we use about our experience and have already moved to a different hospital. If you have the option, definitely choose elsewhere.

Great people here. Never have to wait more than 5 minutes. I've been to other places where it is a literal zoo of animals and been in the waiting room for over 30 minutes. Not here. Doctors are terrific
