Petworks Veterinary Hospital Overland Park, Missouri

I recently had to make the hard decision to assist my good working dog across the rainbow bridge. Though an excruciating time, the folks at Petworks could not have been anymore accommodating, and comforting. Yesterday when I opened my mail, I had even received a sympathy card from the clinic where MULTIPLE staff members had handwritten thoughtful notes of condolences. I was aghast! Thank you so much to such a loving team of people. I am not sure if they do this for every person. However I will say this was by far the kindest, and best veterinary care that I have experienced across the US.

I always enjoy going here! I feel like the vet is always so sweet and really gives your pet the attention he/she needs. The ancillary staff is also incredible and very welcoming. I feel like the vet listens to your concerns and really gets to know your animal.

I just took my new puppy in today and what a treat! The ladies at the front office were sweet and helpful. Dr. Callicott’s nurse was so professional and then Dr. Callicott came in to explain everything he was going to do. I was so relieved and satisfied with the services Petworks provided. Highly Recommended!

If your looking for a Vet that truly wants to help your pet and not get every last penny from you they can - this is your place. They don’t shame you if your dogs don’t have all their vaccines yet and are so understanding of peoples financial situation. Their prices are a fraction of big cooperation Vets. It’s so important where you put your money! I walked in and they treated me and my dogs as if i was a regular. They don’t over charge you- they charge you for what it should really be. I left feeling so great and so did my pups!

Great place for care of our greyhounds. They have an awesome greyhound veterinarian there, Shelley Lake is a wonderful, very knowledgeable, down to earth veterinarian.

Every member of the staff went well above and beyond for us and our cat Midnight. They were unbelievable. Thank you all very much. Gary and Denise Cardile.

When we were sick with Covid and ran out of dog food they were so amazing and helped us however they could!

They took care of my very nervous kitty. Gave him his shots and a blood exam. Very friendly and helpful staff! Highly recommended

I cannot say enough about this place. My 16 year old dog Tyson was having all kinds of symptoms and the vet stayed late to take through details until we figured out he probably had a tumor. Dr. Lake was so kind, empathetic and detailed. The next day he was suffering and I decided to put him down. They were fully booked but made time for me, knowing it was Tyson’s time and didn’t want him to suffer. They treated Tyson so kindly and talked to him like their own pet. The doctor sat with me on the floor as he passed and even shed a tear with me. I am so incredibly grateful for this experience. They made something really hard into a beautiful celebration of life.

Outstanding staff and very sympathetic during our most recent loss due to cancer. They have always been available when we needed them for one of our greyhounds. We even use them to care for all of our greyhounds in our program with Retired not Rescued Greyhound Adoption.

Dr. Callicott and his incredible nurses and techs really go above and beyond to care for your fur babies and treat them like family!! We have gone to them for more than 20 years, and have always loved them. Recently, when our puppy came down with a severe illness, I was reminded just how outstanding PetWorks is! My puppy was there for several days, and they called more than once a day to keep us updated and got permission for every test they ran so we wouldn't be surprised by any cost. They also made arrangements (during a pandemic) for us to come visit our little guy anytime we wanted to. The impressive level of care at PetWorks is unequaled, and I highly recommend them!!

We have been a patient of Petworks for the last 4 years and absolutely love every single staff in this facility. As a pet parent, I am sure that everyone is very wary regarding the care of their children, and believe me when I say that this clinic is always so welcoming from the moment you walk in to when you leave. They are very informative and super understanding when it comes to a financial stand point. The doctors are so kind and so gentle and they definitely go the extra mile to not only comfort your pet, but also ensure that the safety of our pets are their main concern. I will always and only go to Petworks for all my pet care. Thank you all for the amazing team work!

Dr. Callicott was the only vet of several that returned my email requesting his knowledge of my dog's special health issue. He also called me and talked to me at length, giving his time to discus and help assess my dog's condition even though she was not yet a patient. He took his time at her appointment and was willing to do specific blood work that I requested. He was open to my knowledge/research of my dog's medical issues and didn't disregard my knowledge as some vets have. The end results was her previous diagnosed issue and treatment was not accurate. My second dog has had allergies issues for years, chewing on his paws until their were sores, with a variety of things tried without success. Again, Dr. Callicott tried some treatments, along with one of my suggestions, and his issues are cleared. I felt he was very thorough and respectful. His willingness to talk to me at length on the phone and reply to my initial request through email (offering free information) was impressive and showed that he is committed to his profession.

I have been coming to Petworks for over 20 years! Two dogs living long lives with Dr. Ken's excellent care and now in the past 2 years my fur babies (cats) Sunny & Cher. When you bring a dog to a vet and tell them they are going to see Dr. Ken & they jump all over the car in excitement, you know you have picked the right vet. My cats not so much but then they are cats❤

The vets here went above and beyond taking care of my cat. They were kind, and prompt even though I didn't have an appointment.
