I took my puppy here for the first 6 months and tried to tough it out even though I didn’t leave with the best first impression after his first visit. They were never outwardly rude, but something felt very off and that there were judgmental undertones. The first visit the vet tried to convince me that I needed to consider switching dog foods to something “clinically tested”, such as the Hills Science Diet. I had done pretty extensive research prior to even picking up my puppy and felt comfortable with what I was feeding him, which I would not have with the Hill’s - that’s a whole other topic irrelevant to my experience at Oxford. Each time after, I felt somewhat that they disapproved of something I was doing and did not feel supported as a new pet parent. Finally after making the decision to switch vets, the new vet had requested his records from Oxford. The new place called me and said Oxford had no records of an animal with that name. I called Oxford and the girl that answered was pleasant and said she would send them over. She asked for an email address, which I did not know, so then she asked what the clinic name was. I told her and she said she would send them. I called the new vet the next day to confirm they received them, they still had not. I called Oxford a second time and gave them the email for the new vet. Again, she assured me that they would be sent over. I went to drop off my puppy this morning at the new vet to find that Oxford had still not sent over his records. I ended up being late to work because I had to go to Oxford to pick up physical copies to scan and email myself. Overall, I would not recommend going here. The vibe is off and I definitely felt they prioritized their income over animal care. They also did not ask why I was leaving when I had initially requested the records, which is not good business practice in my opinion. It further exemplified the overall feeling that they don’t care about their pet owners.

I've had significant issues finding a reliable vet, and this appears to be no exception. My dog requires allergy medication, and it feels like pulling teeth each time he needs more. I have to call to manually refill the medication, remind them to charge the card, and hope they remember to place the pills in their front lobby - otherwise, no shot at getting my dog the medication he desperately needs. I'm told a "new law" requires that my dog be seen for a semi-annual exam to "show he still needs to be on the medication", and that it's a legal issue, and out of the vet's hands. I would love to see this "new law", because the dog was brought in for a vaccine, and was looked at by a nurse - he still has the same obvious allergy symptoms he's had for over a year - but apparently it needs to be a separate formal appointment with a doctor (extra $$$). This place seems to care about money first and pets second. My dog has been without his allergy medication for approximately 10-15% of the time we've been using Oxford. Seems incredible to me that they have no autofill or ship options. If they do, they've never once communicated that to me in over a year. Earlier this year, I needed to get my dog his rabies shot, so I chose the one-year option. I verbally confirmed this over the phone multiple times, and was assured he was getting the one-year shot. Lo and behold, he was given the three-year shot. No apology over the phone, just silence when I asked why. No "oh, I'm sorry, we must have made a mistake, let me charge you for the one-year shot instead". My dog was given a vaccine at a different dose than I requested, and no one seemed even slightly concerned. They couldn't care less since in their minds all they needed was to charge my card in the end, anyways. The only reason this location receives more than one star is they did an excellent job handling my dog's neutering, both with the procedure and with communication surrounding it. No surprise, but the neutering was super expensive, too. I wish this place had better communication and cared more about my dog than how much money they can charge me.

My family has used them for all of our animals. They are always professional and willing to help reduce cost where they can. I appreciate them being upfront and always explaining why certain things are needed. I highly recommend if you are in the market for a new vet. Lindsay is amazing! Always remembers us and our animals. And her vet tech Jan is the sweetest. Been through tough times with our animals and they’ve always been amazing!

I followed Dr. Maasen and Jan Hueben, RVT, to the practice after the retirement of Dr. Cramm at Trailridge and have found a team as dedicated to animals as they are. Dr. Gaugh has been helpful in treating my cat's thyroid and recurring UTI issues. Everyone in the practice cares for pets and their humans. (The referral to Becky Hamill, RVT, for pet sitting was a priceless gift!)

I have been a client of Oxford animal hospital for a couple of years. Dr Masson is the best. She is extremely knowledgeable, caring and has my pet’s best interest at heart. She truly cares about the animals and their well being. The entire staff is helpful, professional and caring. The lead tech, Stephanie, is another great example of the wonderful staff at Oxford! The health and care of your pets come first at this hospital!!

They are so great! I've used them for regular annual appointments to emergencies and sadly having to put a beloved pet to sleep. Through everything they have communicated and talked through everything while making me feel like they truly care about my pets and me. I would definitely recommend them!

I've been taking my pets to Oxford for well over a decade and have always received the best care from the front desk, the techs and the vets. I've had to say goodbye to two beloved pets there and they were so caring. Fully recommend them!

We have been using this vet for both medical care and boarding for our dogs for 10 years. They are always professional and easy to work with. When Covid hit, they were among the first to implement a comprehensive program to continue helping pets while protecting humans, both staff and customers. I was super impressed with how they developed a program of pet handoff and then did the rest of the session via phone with the owner.

Oxford has provided the highest quality care for our dogs for years. The veterinarians, technicians, and office staff are all friendly and really care about our pets. They are clear about costs, treatment options, and we trust them to provide our dogs’ medical care, dog daycare, and boarding. They are simply terrific!

We've been using Oxford Animal Hospital for approx 12 years, on 4 different dogs, and Dr Maassen, Jan and Cayley (the nurses) our are favorite. They do an excellent job of explaining the diagnosis and treatment options. The laser therapy at Oxford has tremendously helped two of our dogs with aging joints and injuries. Our older lab went from barely walking to running again after just a few sessions. Lastly, we always feel confident dropping off our dogs for grooming, day care and boarding. We know they are in good hands at Oxford and the team there loves animals as much (or more) as we do.

I recently had a confrontation with Oxford Animal Hospital. After waiting six weeks for this groom appointment (and my dog needing it so badly) and finding out our annual fecal exam they required had expired, I agreed to have them do the test...oh, and charge me for an exam too (total of $60). Yesterday I find out they never did the fecal test...instead did a deworming (which I never agreed upon) and I still don't have the required annual fecal exam needed for boarding and/or daycare. This was not a mix up...this was them drumming up charges for stuff I never wanted or needed (why a deworming when you don't even know a dog has worms???). To resolve the situation, all I asked was for them to perform the fecal exam that they were supposed to do to begin with free of charge. They refused to do so or take any responsibility at all in the matter. I believe their business practices are seriously questionable and they are not trustworthy.

The office staff makes things more difficult than they need to be. I expect some kind of fight every time I call to refillI a prescription. My dog is like a dumpster fire and requires 4 different medications and prescription food. They have refused to give me his meds until I make an appointment for something else. It's almost like ransom. It is always something and feels like they are constantly trying to squeeze as much money out of you as possible. It's pretty bad when you dread calling your vet's office because you know there's going to be a fight. I've never had problems like this in all my years of pet ownership. I switched to another office and it was such a relief! I no longer fight for anything. We get yearly check ups, and monthly medications/ prescription food without any fight, bribery, or incidents. Switching made me realize how horrible Oxford Animal Clinic was.

Unfortunately, 4 months after my initial downgrade, I have to take two stars away. Oxford also just lost a 7 year client. Never before have I ever felt so cheated and misguided by a vet — not to mention the clear incompetence of the office …

I've been taking my dogs to Dr. Maasen for 8 years now. I wouldn't trust them with anyone else. I am always fully educated about any procedures needed and given options honestly which I really appreciate.. because as you know, when dealing with your own pets, it's can be emotional. I have and do recommend this clinic for great animal care!

I initially brought my cat due to health concerns, which turned out to be worse than expected and i eventually had to have him put down. Although it pained me to put him down, everyone here was very helpful and consoling during the process, and even afterwards helped me deal with my loss. Great place with great people!
