Gateway City Animal Clinic Florissant, Missouri

We came here based on a recommendation from a neighbor and friend. We are euthanizing a 17 year old smaller dog. I feel we are being overcharged, as our usual veterinarian, only charges one third of the price. The procedure did not go as smoothly as it should have. An IV catheter was not used, this meant vein was hard to find and a total of three injections were made. Bruce and the staff here are nice and friendly, but I can't recommend them at this time.

I just called this office for a cat with an emergent infection on her underside, a cat that has been seen at this clinic before. After calling twice after 8am and finally getting an answer I was instantly put on hold for almost 8 minutes. When they receptionist answered, I explained the seriousness of the situation and she replied, “well our doctors not here and he doesn’t have any openings today anyway.” I asked if she had any suggestions on where o can take her no, and she VERY RUDELY said that I should take her to an emergency clinic. I asked her who I was speaking to, and she hung up on me!!! I called back and said, “hello who am I speaking with please?” She paused, and asked my name. I gave it to her. She went silent again. I asked again, “and who am I speaking with today?” And she told me she wasn’t comfortable giving out that information!! Why? Because you should find a new job and you don’t want anyone to know?! Thanks! I’m on my way to a new vet I’ve never met, with a cat who might not make it.

Great they were sweet with my pup.... But I also got charged twice for meds, they gave me a refund and was very apologetic so just be careful.

Dr.Karmazin has been taking care of me and my family's animals for many years now and he always provides top notch care for them.

They have been so considerate with their time, I am so grateful to them.

First time I had taken my dog. Loved the care and compassion of Dr. K. Professional staff and service. Think I have found new vet!

The Service Sassy received was wonderful.The Vet tech was awesome. She was personable and friendly. The information relayed was thorough and she was able to answer most of my questions. I look forward to meeting the Vet sometime. Damn Covid!????

So glad I found this place! Everyone is so pleasant and the vet is amazing! Will not be taking my pets anywhere else. Did I mention how great their prices are? Love this vet!

I normally would have went to Carol House Quick Fix for dog shots ,the prices here was the same or cheaper. My Max had a rope burn the Vet visit was amazing Love this Vet Clinic . Highly recommend

Dr. K is the best! He takes care of our turtle, cat, and dogs - they all love him too!

Dr Bruce has been so kind and helped us through a lot including helping our baby through a serious illness. He is truly dedicated to the pets and their people which is beyond what I expected from anyone. His love for animals pulls on my heart strings. I would trust any of my pets to this man.

Best vet clinic I’ve ever been to!! I had a very last minute need for shot updates for my dog and they were so helpful and friendly! I will be bringing all my animals here from now on!

A few weeks ago my dog was up all night panting heavily. He couldn't get comfortable or get to sleep, so first thing I called my vet to try and get him an appointment. They were booked, but Gateway was able to take me as a walk in ( well, drive up ). So that's where the 2 stars come in. I'm very grateful they worked to squeeze me in same day. Now I've taken all three of my dogs to the vet since the pandemic so I understand curbside vet service changes how the doctors interact with us. But, I really can't excuse that the staff didn't call me while they were examining my dog to talk to me about options or get my consent before they administered any medications or ran any tests. They just brought him out to me with a bill which showed they gave him 2 different shots and a heartworm test that he didn't need. I was so shocked I didn't say anything to the tech that brought him out. On top of that, and not being able to speak to the actual vet, their recommendation was $400 worth of shots for the first month. Needless to say, I won't be going back, even though they're much closer than my normal vet.

They do curve side pick up for your animal only thing I do not like about it if you do not stay while they are treating your pet you will have to sign a waiver.

We were driving from KC to NYC when poor Gimli got sick :( We were lucky enough to be nearby Dr Karmazin!! They fit us in late on a busy Friday and fixed poor Gimli right up :) We are so thankful. Everyone at the office was super sweet. We were able to make it back home without any issues! Thank you again!!
