They care for my rabbits and it's wonderful to have a vet that will see rabbits!

My daughter's mouse suddenly developed a head tilt. I called a local vet and they recommended Hope. I'm SO glad they did. They were able to give me an appointment the very next day. They were so nice, thorough, and professional. The mouse got antibiotics and was her old self by the 5th dose. I'm considering using Hope for all my pets!

The front desk is awesome! I bring my dog there and they treat her so well. She is a nervous nelly and they are so patient with her. The doctor even entices her to do things with cheese. They are completely booked but have been able to work me in with her and I can’t appreciate it enough. Definitely recommend!

I was recommended to HAH because my hedgehog needed a tooth pulled. When the DVM came in, she was extremely rude and unprofessional. She refused to hold my hedgehog and wore "gloves" that looked like rectangle, which made her not be able to hold my fur baby. I had to do hold my hog for her. I was promptly told that my hedgehog had cancer and that they had to run lots of tests and had to put her under anesthesia immediately. I was also told that payment was due as that process was happening. I was offered medicine but that was drew up and needles which they cut the tips off of and told me that it was still okay to give to my hedgehog even though it was sharp... They refused to give me the medicine vial to do it myself. I ABSOLUTELY DO NOT RECOMMENDED GOING HERE!!! BY FAR THE WORSE EXPERIENCE AT A VET!!!

This is the place the House Rabbit Chapter I got my rabbit from uses and I highly recommend it for exotics! Even if it's just a little concern, they'll take care of your baby!

The most kind and caring vet staff you'll find in the area. We are so thankful for the kind words and card they sent when we had to put our Koda bear to sleep. I've never seen a vet care so much.

Couldn’t get into our usual vet. Called to see if we could get an appointment. They told me they were booked and immediately hung up. Extremely rude.

This is a great hospital for all pets. I have guinea pigs and now a mouse who are all well cared for by everyone at Hope. I drive quite a distance just to get the great care and service Hope provides.

I recently had my bunny put down due to an infection in his foot. I am very pleased with the technician, who was very sweet and kind knowing that we were very heartbroken that we had to make this decision. On the other hand, the veterinarian who had to make the call explaining our options was extremely rude and gave us little to no explanation to my bunnies issues other than two options, amputation or euthanasia. The vet was very rude and persistent that my bunny should be put down which is understandable given his condition, but I would expect more sympathy and kindness. And the worst part, when we were brought inside to spend our last moments with him, the doctor stormed into the room without saying a word and began injecting the anesthesia into my bunny. We asked what she was doing (out of curiosity, since she hadn’t said a word yet) and if he had already passed and she rudely stated “it’s an overdose of anesthesia” and “yep, he’s passed.” And then walked out of the room. She didn’t even bother asking how we were feeling or anything. I am truly disappointed with how we were treated by the veterinarian during this tough time for us. Still, I am very pleased with the technician regardless and have no complaints about her.

I genuinely don't think there is a place I trust more with my bunnies than Hope. Dr. B is seriously like the Einstein of vet medicine. I've had more than a few issues with my bunny's health, and the team at Hope always is ready to diagnose and treat even the most esoteric ailments. They've even done a procedure that *saved my bunny's life* that no other vets I spoke to were aware was possible. I think it's that level of hyper-specific, obscure knowledge that makes them so trustworthy. I have spent weeks and weeks researching certain uncommon bunny conditions and finding very few resources and literature on them, but Hope is always aware of these conditions and offers such a wide array of safe, effective treatment options. Sometimes the offices can get very busy, but the team still goes out of their way to accommodate any of my vet issues that come up. They even go out of their way to check in on my rabbits' health after exams. I'm probably rambling a bit too much, but I can't stress enough how amazing these people are. I've never felt even a dime I spent there wasn't unjustified. Thanks for everything, Hope team!

Over priced. Me and my bf had to put his guinea pig down. It was 290 for euthanasia, cremation and the return of her ashes. The woman that came in to administer the euthanasia didn't say hi or ask how we were doing she just came in and put the medicine in and left.... very disappointed. The actual vet was very sweet but that's the only silver lining...

Hope Animal Hospital and Dr. B especially took incredible care of our rabbit while he was on palliative care. They squeezed us in last minute multiple times, including after hours and as a new patient. Though things were difficult with COVID, they did their best to keep us informed and involved. We went weekly for shots and the receptionist recognized us every time we called until they treated him excellently on his final night. Rabbits and other small mammals are incredibly fragile, and while I am sorry to those who have lost pets after having them treated by Dr. B, I can say with certainty Dr. B cared deeply and did her best - and she is the best rabbit vet in the St. Louis area. When people balk at the prices, please know that the prices are high because small mammals like rabbits and guinea pigs are a specialized field. Typical vets receive less than a day’s worth of education on them, and specialists are naturally more expensive. If anyone is struggling with costs, I recommend CareCredit as a good option if your credit allows. If you are reading this wondering if you should take your rabbit to the vet, please do.

Best Vet I've been too. The staff are very friendly, and are always flexible... But the pandemic being the pandemic, still they are awesome. They let you know in advance your going to wait in the car, which I really appreciate, and take care of their patients. Knowledgeable and accommodating (especially for my dog who is scared of everything.) Great place would recommend to anyone.

I love my vet... They have squeezed in my pets despite being extremely busy! They treat my rabbit very well and explain things to me very clearly. They treated my hamster and, unfortunately, had to put her down. But today we received a care package from my vet. A card with heartfelt expressions from the doctor and staff there, a poem about loss, a counselor referral, and a memory book to personalize for our girl. They have sent us personalized keychains with emergency info for each of our pets. They have gone above and beyond for our family! We will continue to go there!

I took my gerbil here for a scent gland tumor removal surgery, and they were amazing. They were able to squeeze him in for surgery last minute and treated him with the utmost care before and after the surgery. He was trying to chew at his surgery site afterwards, and they even made him a cute little e-collar to restrain him so that he could heal. It's been about a month since his surgery, and he is back to his old self now.
