Arrived in the morning. They have a text system to text what the dog is there for. I text the normal items and that we needed nails trimmed with the quote "Bella's quicks are incredibly long so please be careful". They let me come inside, but I quickly have to step outside with another dog. I walk back in, look through a door window to see 4 people holding the dog down (never needs this done ever. And the dog is 15) and they are rapidly cutting nails not looking for or at her long quicks. She yelps and they finally are done. I ask "did those bleed" ? And the girl replied "A few"..... A few!!! It was more than a few! And The note was in the text!!!! I would have told her personally to be careful they are extremely long, but I stepped outside for 10 seconds and they grabbed her. She wasn't sorry and acted like she didn't know it wasn't suppose to happen. Even the best groomer will mistakenly cut a quick, but this was terrible. I still don't know if she understands that's not normal. If you look down in the reviews this isn't the first time. In 15 years the dog has never needed to be held down to trim it's nails. I'm still baffled. She said "a few"..... OMG

Dr. Mike Vitucci took care of my dutchie, diagnosing his elbow injuries. He also helped my young mal x lab to hopefully have a long working career in SAR. The office staff was very nice, and my dogs were happy going with them.

My 5 yr old lab had a TPLO surgery. I am absolutely ????% satisfied. There are not enough positive words I could use to describe our experience here. After waiting months to get in at another facility that was referred to us. I started to Google and read reviews. I am beyond thankful for Dr. Vitucci and his staff. Cooper says thank you so much for getting him back to playing and being himself!

I LOVE the crew at CAH!! I have never encountered an individual working there that has not been very helpful, calming, and all around pleasant.

Cannot say enough good things about this place...I unfortunately have a pup with a weak immune system and have had many visits here. Every single time the staff demonstrates how much they actually care about your animal's well-being. When treatments are expensive, they give alternatives to try first and advice for what they think the best decision is. I personally would not go anywhere else. Love this place!!!

Not my first post about County Animal Hospital, but worthy of additional comments! County Animal Hospital has handled, and continues to manage health & safety measures in a very convenient and streamlined manner, hats of to the team! I've also discovered their grooming services are top notch! My dog smells cleaner and her coat ia shiny and soft and nails look better than ever!

Great service, but hours do not reflect that they are closed and have the phones off from 1-2pm for lunch.

I can’t speak highly enough of Dr Vitucci’s care of my fur babes. The pups have been under his care for several years now and I honestly haven’t ever received such thorough care for my babes. I wouldn’t trust my pets health to anyone else

Took my Boston terrier for his annual and had clip his nails. We were not able to accompany pets inside due to covid. He came out and I noticed he had quick stop(Treatment for when they cut the nails to short and they bleed) applied to 7 of his nails. 4 on one foot alone. I immediately called in and asked to know what happen and asked why I wasn’t informed. They said it was not policy to inform owners when this happens. I asked after cutting a few nails too short why the proceed and didn’t stop and take a different approach. No answer was given no apology no offer to refund my service. They acted aloof and say maybe next time we should sedate him. My dog will always have to be sedated now to do this. I cannot even touch his paw without him screaming in pain. I don’t know what’s more offensive that they continued to cause my dog pain instead of trying something different or just stopping or the fact that they don’t tell owners when this happens to our pets. We will never be back.

The staff is loving and caring and very compassionate. They do everything and anything to help animals . My dog turned 17 and he had complete failure of every bodily function in the morning and in the afternoon we pulled up they came out with a stretcher and got him . They put him in a comfort room and the staff stayed after hours so we had time to spend with our dog and say goodbye Since he was a standing family statue. I would highly recommend this place . They exceed the standards of top of the line veterinarian care .

They fit my cat in due to my vet being out of town. Fast, friendly, and I felt the price was very reasonable. If I wasn’t attached to my current vet clinic, would consider switching!

Great caring vets that genuinely care for your pet. Docs and staff are super nice and they don't overcharge and push things on you that you don't need. Top quality care at a reasonable price. Glad we found them.

Dr. Vitucci and the entire staff of County Animal Hospital are outstanding! Our 8-year Bailey (Cairn Terrier) had two torn ACLs. Within six months of her second surgery (which was scheduled only four months after her first surgery), she was back in full action---spring in her step and going strong. She's now chasing snowballs and tennis balls like a 2-year old puppy. We were heartbroken to think that her playful days were behind her, but she's now bolting up steps and dancing on both hind legs (she'll do anything for a treat!). Dr. Vitucci is truly a miracle worker and has built an exceptional team of caring people. We're so grateful to have found them!

These folks took really good care of all of us when we had to put our 17 year old dog down. Thanks for the care and concern shown at a difficult time.

You won't be disappointed with this outstanding vet practice! I've been a client for 10+ Years with my Dobermans. They recently remodeled Spring/Summmer 2019 the interior which can accomodiate their patients and their owners much better on many levels and more efficiently - entire office is well planned out. I love the idea of a private room when we have to make the decision to say good bye to our family (pet) member - it even has it's own private entrance which is very thoughful for when your heart is broken and you don't want to see the other patients/owners during that difficult time. I was recently assigned to Dr. Hummel a few months back due to my prior vet leaving for another opportunity and I can say this - she's very kind, looks you in the eye, smiles ;-D , shows compassion with a gentle touch, gets down on the dog's level, listens to your questions and just overall easy to talk to, with no pressure. Good clinician as well. She get's it on so many levels and I'm thankful to claim her as my primary vet going forward -- A good thing. Shout out to Dr. Mike Vitucci who rocks too, as he previously was an important part of one of my prior doberman's life as an early onset Addison's patient, who later developed High blood pressure her last 2 years before she passed. Working together we figured out how to maintain her disease for 10 healthy good years. Take a chance on this practice, I did and glad to know they are ALL there for me and my precious family (dog) member. RR

I live in the city and drive out to Ballwin just to see Dr Vitucci. Honestly I have never have I had a vet who's as committed to going above and beyond for both the fur babies and the owners! There is literally no other vet I will ever take my pets to, hands down. Dr. Vitucci is knowledgeable, accessible and caring. If I could give a higher star rating then I would.
