Smith Animal Hospital Starkville, Mississippi

I had to take my little older kitty in recently to get her teeth cleaned. Smith Animal Clinic took excellent care of my little baby cat and treated her with great respect! I really recommend Smith Animal Hospital!

I made a reservation weeks ahead of time to board two large dogs. They said no problem and put me down. The day I was traveling to Starkville I called just to make sure and was told they only had outside kennels. My dogs are unaccustomed to sleeping outside, particularly in the cold. When I mentioned how cold it gets at night she said that they put down wood shavings. So totally unacceptable that I can’t even find the words. I probably will have to stay home and not see my kids for thanksgiving. WTH! You guys should be ashamed of yourselves.

Our mini-dachshund, Foxy, is 12 years old and has severe anxiety when it comes to going to the vet. She was not feeling well and we had to break down and take her in. Dr. Stowers and all the clinic staff were incredible with her. They diagnosed her quickly and prescribed the appropriate medications to help resolve her issues. She is feeling so much better and we are so thankful. Our Frenchie, Millie, visits frequently and Dr. Smith and the staff always take excellent care of her. Thank ya'll for taking great care of our pups.

I can comfortably say I love taking my dog here. I am always greeted by all the staff that see us and they are all friendly. She got spayed here and didn't have any complications throughout the process or her healing time. The vets genuinely care about your pet here I would recommend them to everyone!

This is an awesome vet. I love it here and they are excellent with your pets, I have never had any problem bringing my fur baby to see them. Great job guys!

I have been using this clinic since 2012 for my pets (cat/dog), and I have always been pleased with the services and my pets' care. The prices have risen (specifically the exam fee [$50 I believe], but I'm not sure in regards to other fees) but I still travel from Columbus because I trust the care given here. Dr. Smith and Dr. Stowers are friendly, give competent care, and don't seem to be put off by my anxieties regarding my babies ????

They told me my dog patches had hook worms. They gave me 5 days of medicine she died 3 days later.They never told me she could die called another vet they told me she can if had them long enough.I had the dog 3 weeks they should have checked better.I called them back no doctor was there to answer my ?

Brought our dog to them after she was throwing up, refusing to eat and losing weight. Got heartworm, hookworm and pravo test done came back positive for only hookworms. No other test we're done. Was given meds and told she be just fine. Saturday morning my dog past. Was over charged for service and was given a credit but still didn't save my patches. They are all very friendly but in my opinion they don't listen to owners concerns.

Aside from the great service they helped me how to behave with my kittens ( it is my first time to be the mother of three kittens_one stupid enough to bang his head to the entrance door five times a day, or maybe too smart to care about his surrounding_)

Customer for many many years. Never been disappointed!

I really love this vet clinic. They have great availability, are flexible and have awesome staff. I've always been able to get my pup seen within the same week. Dr. Smith is great! He's always very informative and prescribes only what's needed. He is very real about medical concerns and will tell you what not to waste your money on and gets things resolved the first go around. I really appriciate this clinic. Very cost effective too. Highly recommend!!

Wonderful staff, got us in quickly and made the visit as painless as possible!

I ONLY needed a rabies for a rescue on transport... they were open on Saturday morning (MOST vets in Starkville are closed Sat) and they got me in as quickly as they could. They really worked with me, my schedule, and my needs. On top of that, everyone we worked with was friendly and professional! Thank you !

My furbaby had a pretty bad allergic reaction, she ended up breaking out in hives all over her body and her face began to swell. As soon as i called they allowed me to bring her in right then. They were so nice and professional, and I loved the way they treated my dog. i will definitely be using them again.

The office staff went out of their way to make me feel welcome even though I didn't have an appointment for my Boston terrier. They told me the price for tests before they ran them on Tux. Dr. Smith explained everything thoroughly to me, so that I could understand. I was completely satisfied with Tux's visit and Dr. Smith's expertise.
