I hate writing bad reviews for local businesses but I have to share my experience with this place… Our dog got spayed here and after the surgery I picked her up on a Monday afternoon with bandages on her legs. I decided that I would take them off the next day just in case there was any bleeding, etc. Tuesday night we were taking the bandages off and noticed a needle sticking in her leg under the bandages. THEY LEFT THE IV CATHETER STUCK IN HER LEG. My wife took her to the vet Wednesday morning, but she found out that they are closed on Wednesdays. I tried to find an emergency number, but couldn’t. If they have one, they don’t make it easy to find. Bottom line, my dog was walking around with a needle stuck in her leg for 2 full days. They finally took it out and were very apologetic, but this is completely unacceptable…. That is just one of my unpleasant experiences. They are nice people, but completely unorganized and careless. Every time I go there, it’s always either giving me the wrong medication, messing up on the paperwork, or quoting me one price and when I go to pay it’s an extra $50 to $100. That nightmare of a spay I mentioned above, they quoted me $250 and when I went to pick her up they said it was $450. I ended up paying $350 because “oh we shouldn’t have added this. We can take $100 off”. Like I said, they are nice people but I will not be taking my dogs here again and I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. Hopefully they can get their act together and start showing professionalism.

I would recommend this establishment to anyone in need of pet care. The staff really care about the animals and it shows. Dr. Corte is the best Vet in the area!!!

On September 17, 2021 my chihauha Jazmine woke up throwing up and in alot of discomfort. Her regular vet didn't open until 8am so I rushed her to the first available vet. I spoke with the vet & told her Jazmine was shaking, panting, throwing up, & could barley walk. The veterinarian rubbed her a few times, checked her temperature and said she had Kennel Cough. I was shocked to hear Kennel Cough because my dog isn't around other dogs at all. We were in & out , the veterinarian didn't answer any of my questions about her stomach being sensitive or why Jazmine was in so much discomfort. After feeling rushed & spending $200.00 on the visit & medications Jazmine got worse. I contacted her regular vet at Daphne Animal Hospital that afternoon and was told to rush her in. Jazmine had a severe case of Pancreatitis not Kennel Cough! PLEASE KEEP YOUR PETS AWAY FROM THIS VET!! If I wasnt the pet parent that I am Jazmine would not be here today!

Dr.Corte is very kind and intelligent the staff is very kind /caring of you and your pets I’ve been taking my pets their for the past couple years they even were very compassionate when my one pet had to be put down they do truly care tho I have something’s I didn’t like the day of my one pets surgery the secretary didn’t call me to tell me my pet made it out of surgery well. so i worried for hours till I called and asked if she was done with the surgery and the lady finally told me she did well and the other problem was when I went in and asked them to put down on paper a well balanced dog nutrition foods and food types for my pet they gave very poor information on it and very little list of what humans foods my dog could have and couldn’t have so had to do a lot of research myself as many vets just don’t give out that information idk why but this is one of the bests in Baldwin county and they are very reasonably priced so the pros out weigh The small problems I had

Looking for a new veterinarian now that Doctor Corte has retired. Doctor Ederer is pricey and pushy with her ideas of care and treatment. She doesn’t offer the same preventative medication. She pushes a once a year vaccine for heart worm preventative instead of the more affordable tried and true treatment meds? Kind of like a new Dentist or Mechanic they’re always going to find something wrong so they can charge you more. Missing Doctor Corte he was honest fair and truly cared for the pets and owners.

Very friendly and concerned for a dog ???? I found in my front yard. Unfortunately we couldn't find the owner ????

Had an emergency last minute need to board 2 of our dogs. Being new clients, we were amazed with how fast and professional they were and that they made room for our pups. Picked them up today and both were happy, healthy, and clean, and even though we told them not to worry about it, they had even washed their dog beds. Staff was very friendly.

Dr. Corte had his 29th birthday today. My Pug enjoyed seeing him. He gave him a allergy shot and some itch pills. Rupert is not itching any longer. Thank you Dr. C. You're the Best and Happy Birthday.

Friendly, knowledgeable, quick, sweet to my pup... Can't ask for much more than that in a vet.

Dr Corte needs to retire. He diagnosed our puppy completely wrong. He didn't do any tests on her at all to find out what was really wrong with her, he just assumed. And if he did his job correctly, she would probably still be here with us.

Dr Corte is the best in this entire area. Hands down. Compassionate. Knowledgeable. Empathetic. He has been my family's vet for 27 years and I haven't seen one close to him in expertise in the entire county

Best place to take your pet

Today my Pug had allergic reation. Immediately i called Highland and they said come on in. Gave Rupert injections and pills for itching. And his yrly shots. Thank you staff. Very reasonable too. God bless you all in this pandemic. Wear your masks. Be safe Tonya Medina

This vet is fantastic! He's honest, up front, caring, experienced and makes no recommendation that isn't necessary for your pet's health and well-being. You won't hear him pushing anything. That's very refreshing. I get the distinct impression that he doesn't make time for pharmaceutical reps.
