This veterinary hospital would not see my cat because they said she was to aggressive!! UM HELLO you are an animal HOSPITAL and you can't give the cat a shot of a sedative to calm her down where the hell did you get your degree. I am almost POSITIVE that this animal HOSPITAL sees their shre of aggressive animals. Instead they send me home with the sedative (Gabapentin) which is not really a good sedative. I bought her back in which they probably spent about 10 minutes with her and gave me an antibiotic which did not work and I paid over $300 for a ten minute visit 10 days in the antibiotic and she is WORSE NOW THEN THE FIRST TIME I BROUGHT HER THEIR. OBVIOUS THEY DID NOT DO AN EXAM!! They didn't tell me what was wrong with her. They COULDN'T HANDLE A 10 POUND CAT SO THEY JUST GAVE ME SOME MEDICATION HOPING IT WOULD WORK AND MADE $300. ALSO THEY WERE VERY RUDE!!!! DON'T BRING YOUR PET HERE. IT'S AN ANIMAL HOSPITAL THEY SHOULD KNOW HOW TO DEAL WITH SCARED ANIMALS!!!!!!

This was the worst vet experience I had in my 35 years on this earth. First time we went there when I had my appointment on Saturday, and mentioned my 5 month old kitten might have a UTI. I mentioned that she is a high stressed animal so it could just be a behavior thing. But we wanted to rule out being sick. They told me they couldn't run that test. As they were short staffed. Annoying but hey I get it. So we rescheduled for frist thing Monday. Now for the nightmare that was the Monday appointment. Well we were scheduled for a 7am appointment. Specifically told the earlier the better. I'm there 7am on the dot. Only no one who works there is. I waited for an hour before someone who works here to show up. And not only did I wait an hour but the appointment was now a drop off appointment. I'm Not happy but my cat needed to be seen. I leave her there. 5 hours later I still haven't heard anything from them. I call them and am told the doctor will get to her when he can. I ask how she is doing as my cat is a high stressed out animal. They can't give me an answer to the question. And she is in the back. I'm upset. I miss the call from the vet. I call back 5 minutes later. And the doctor has gone to lunch, I ask If my cat has been seen yet, and the person on the phone doesn't know. Finally done with this place. I go pick up my cat And when I get her she is upset and trembling. She is young enough that this is going to make any future vists to any vet really hard on her. I want to stress I was calm and collected every time I interacted with the staff, I didn't get upset at anyone.

We have been long time clients at Highland Animal Hospital with both of our dogs (10yr old mix & 4yr old Bernese Mountain Dog), but I can say that I will never return to this clinic and I am very upset with the care we received at our last visit. While our older dog was in the care of the clinic he was put in a cage to wait for his appointment. Very routine and fine by us. After several hours they called to let us know that he got so anxious he chewed on the cage which resulted in a bloody mouth and loss of his bottom canine tooth! I understand that dogs can get anxious in these instances, but to leave him in long enough to bloody his entire mouth and loose a tooth is beyond me. Someone should have noticed this prior to him loosing a tooth! I would have happily returned to pick him up if the clinic did not have time to see him or monitor him in any way. On top of that when returned to us, he was covered in blood and the ear drain which he was being seen for was not properly cared for and was also continuously bleeding with no bandage or anything to stop the bleeding. My spouse was sent home with a a bag of medication that was never explained and we now will need surgery on the tooth to have it fully removed. This was very preventable and the negligence by this clinic is truly unacceptable.

Highland Animal Hospital has provided top notch care for our puppy! The staff is responsive, caring and Dr. Trombley is so sweet and caring with our Marvel. She's dedicated her life/career to helping animals and it shows, I hope she never retires! Marvel loves all of the staff especially Cala and she's so knowledgeable and helpful. Who knew going to the vet would be such a pleasant experience.

Great care, competitively priced and smart veterinarians. Only complaint is they always put my cats name in parentheses. "Malcolm" is his real name I swear!

Highland Animal Hospital has taken care of my first fur baby for 12 years- from kitten hood until he recently passed. They were very efficient, responsive, reassuring, and made me feel like my cat was getting the best healthcare possible. I look forward to continuing to use them as my new fur baby's veterinarian.

Unprepared with medical needs and wanted to reschedule on me and my cat the day of. (while my cat was in the clinic awaiting service) we waited a full month to get help. Terrible at communicating and the doctors are not taking responsibility for their incompetence and laziness, just got passed back and forth on the phone after several calls trying to get to the bottom of it. This clinic supports animal neglect. Leaving my cat waiting over 3 hours with food, water and potty, fully know he has a heart issue!!!! Untrustworthy team of doctors and contractors like Dr. Olson the cardiologist. Dr. Olson will accept animals into her care even if she finds herself unprepared for them, then she won't return any calls or explain her lazy reasoning. Highland Pet Hospital supports this action.

Highland Animal Hospital are truly life savers! They were able to accommodate us on very short notice, and help our cat get back to feeling better very quickly. They communicate well, and are very responsive. We have been going here for years, and they have always been excellent.

Can get in fairly quickly even if a new patient. Take great care of both of my pets like they are their own. I love them here!

Nice, small veterinarian. Pleasant staff and knowledgeable vets that give you treatment options and don't push expensive treatments right away. Small parking lot but it works. Can take a while to get an appointment because it is a smaller facility.

Extremely disappointed and confused by my experience with Highland Animal Hospital. A few weeks ago, I had made an appointment to get my 10 month old puppy neutered, and was told to arrive at 7am the day of the operation, which I did. They also told me that after the surgery, Highland Animal Hospital would hold my dog overnight for observation and for a check-up in the morning. This seemed odd to me, but I figured I'd ask the vet about it during the appointment. When I arrived at 7am at the hospital, I was told that the vet doesn't come in until 9am, and that he would give me a call to answer my questions. The vet did call shortly after 9am, and I asked the following question: "If the hospital closes at 6pm, who checks in on the dogs and monitors them? Or are they left in the kennel alone from 6pm to 6am?" After I asked the vet (Dr. Sime, but I'm not sure if that's the correct spelling) this question, he responded in a very condescending tone saying that I should just "come pick up my dog, since I wasn't comfortable with their process." He didn't give me a choice to decide if I was comfortable or not, he just automatically cancelled my appointment based on two very reasonable questions I had asked. I would strongly advise that the vet in question take a moment to empathize with pet owners when they ask questions- our questions and concerns are an opportunity for you to reassure the client and to build trust. Automatically cancelling appointments is disrespectful of your client's time and money, as I had to leave work in the middle of the day to pick up my dog after Dr. Sime cancelled. Long story short, I would highly encourage anyone reading this to seek out a different vet, ideally someone who values their customer's time and money and is willing to address simple concerns and not avoid them.

Was very disappointed today when I went to pick up medications for my very sick dog in end stage heart failure. Instead of having the medication they had a script for me to take to another pharmacy. I was confused and did not understand and Dr. T .was very short with me. I have been taking my animals in to Dr. T. for years.. I will surely reconsider before making any appts with her .

I have been nothing but impressed by the staff and veterinarians at Highland Animal Hospital. They have been exceptional with my dog, and he absolutely loves going to the vet. Both Dr. Sime and Dr. Trombley have been helpful answering all our questions at visits, have been gentle with our pups, and have been incredibly prompt in returning phone calls with questions or concerns. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a vet for a dog, young or old. I don't have a cat but can't imagine there is any difference in the services they provide for cats. They have separate waiting rooms for dogs and cats. Parking lot located right next to the building.

The staff is always wonderful and their services are reasonably priced. They did a free checkup on my cats when I got them because they were rescues.

I was quite satisfied with their service for over 19 years ... until today. I had an issue with some liquid medication which ran out much earlier than previous prescriptions. When I asked for some consideration, Dr. Sime (a newer vet) kept insinuating that I had been responsible. He then made an offer but insisted that if the meds ever came up short again that "it wasn't their problem." When I insisted that another product shortage would indeed be their problem ... he threw me out and said they'd no longer care for my aged cat !! After 19 years without any issues till this one!! I've never been treated so badly by a service provider in all my 67 years!! So ... if you enjoy being over-charged for less product, accused of mis-administering it, and unceremoniously "fired" after 19 years of faithful patronage, then by all means go to Highland Animal Hospital !! But if I were you, I'd go any other place. Their customer service stinks!

These people should not be serving animals, avoid them at all cost! I brought my dog and one of my cats in one time. I had warned them my cat suffered from anxiety and their response as soon as we got in the room was to have two vet techs with large mitts hold her down and then proceed to put a mask on her. They took an anxious cat and made the situation ten times worse. On top of that, they made sarcastic, condescending comments throughout the visit. After that visit, I decided to switch vets and called to have my vet records transferred and they said they would send my records to my new vet. Two weeks later, my new vet still has not gotten them. I called this morning and they argued with me and claimed they could not send the records. In short, they are rude, unprofessional and horrible with pets. Do NOT subject your pet to this awful clinic!
