We have been coming here for almost 25 years. Minnetonka has taken care of all of our furry family. Dogs and cats alike. I wouldn't go anywhere else. The staff here is wonderful. When I had to put my 20 year old cat down, Dr. Howe set up a line to go to my car since the clinic was not open for clients due to covid. So i was able to hold her when she went to sleep. Now she is caring for Turbo, my tripod tailless kitten. I am very confident that he will have the best care.

I recently moved to Minnetonka and was given Minnetonka Animal Hospital as a recommendation for my rabbit Snoop’s nail trims and check ups. I also learned about the rabbit disease and got her vaccinated here. The staff is well informed and helpful. They really do care about the animals’ wellbeing, and it shows. Thankful to have a vet office so nearby that knows it’s stuff about “exotic” pets.

We are on our 3rd pet with the Minnetonka Animal Hospital over a 15 year period. Our current pet is a 7 yr old black lab rescue, who was in bad shape when we first took ownership. He has received nothing but the best overall and specific issue care from the entire staff. From the person at the front desk, to all the doctors and technicians, we have the utmost confidence they do a great job for both the pet and owners. Without reservation, highly recommend this great team for your animal needs.

I would never take my 3 bunnies anywhere else. The staff is wonderful and highly educated. Willing to help and go above and beyond helping make my bunnies health issues less stressful. Explaining every detail. And cost is the best over other exotic vets.

I have highest appreciation for Minnetonka Animal Hospital. Their attentive care for my dog has been incredible! She came to them at about 3 yrs old after ACL surgery by the UMN, for need of special rehabilitation after a series of complications which resulted in a bent steel plate in the knee. Coinciding with the incident that bent the metal implant, she had a secondary fracture, hip dislocation, and staph infection, all 10 days after the initial injury. She is now doing fabulously at almost 10 years old, making her a super senior dog for her large breed, and she still acts like a pup! The university vets said they did not know what prognosis would be, because the injuries following her surgery were unusual enough to put her into totally unknown territory. Dr. Leilani has kept her as aligned as possible, and thus as strong and comfortable as possible, always adapting to this spunky canine’s lifestyle (e.g. flying squirrel moves down forbidden staircases) with tremendous patience, expertise, and love. When we pull into the clinic, which is very regular for chiropractic and acupuncture therapies, she’s almost as excited as when we arrive for trail walks. She greets the crew of vet techs as amongst some of her favorite friends. She knows they will all help her walk out of the clinic feeling good! The office staff is also top notch, friendly, and professional as they have helped me navigate insurance claims with ease. Dr. Leilani discovered some cancerous tumors last spring, which where successfully removed by one of their skilled surgeons. I have confidence that whatever needs arise, we are in good hands. And that means the world to me and my girl!

I really appreciate the connection, the complete information (even when it has to be delivered through a car window in the rain) and the responsiveness to any requests I've made. Everyone at the facility feels like they truly care about my pets.

I adopted 4 puppy mill breeding dogs 3 years ago. We have used Minnetonka Animal Hospital for all their many vet needs. From dental to acupuncture, they have been superior. They know their stuff technically, but more than that, they care for my dogs with intuition and kindness. From getting on the floor to do the exam with my fearful dogs, to holding them gently and assuring them that no one will ever hurt them again.

Our puppy, Giggle, was in rough shape with major gastrointestinal distress. Minnetonka Animal Hospital was able to squeeze us in same day. They treated her properly and followed up a few days later to see how Giggle was doing. Pricing was fair too. Highly recommend!

After losing my last 2 Yorkies too soon, I was seeking a different approach to health for my puppy that put more focus on overall health & wellness. I wanted an integrative approach (Eastern & Western) to optimize health for "Burger" like I do for myself. Dr. Leilani Hotaling offered great advice that comes from a wealth of experience & research. I'm so happy I searched for a different provider and would recommend Minnetonka Animal Hospital to all.

I've been taking my dogs to Minnetonka Animal Hospital for 3 years now. I could not ask for a more caring, competent, supportive staff. They seem to take a personal interest in my dogs' health and wellbeing, they've always been 100% focused on the dogs when they're in the office and take amazing care of them.

Minnetonka Animal Hospital is a wonderful place to bring your beloved pet. My dog Grizzly has terminal cancer, and Dr. Leilani guided me with care, concern, compassion and encouragement during this most difficult time. Dr. Lelani's vast insight and expertise in both eastern and western medicine is a gift! While she was realistic with me that the unfortunate outcome for my sweet dog would not change, she gave me a sense of peace, hope and direction to help me enjoy every minute left with my precious dog. I am so grateful for the time she spent counseling me and honoring just how special my dog is. The way she loved my dog after only just meeting him speaks volumes to why she is the best vet around. I am very thankful for Minnetonka Animal Hospital and for having Dr. Leilani in our life.

Our 21 year old cat has been seen at Minnetonka Animal Hospital since the age of 2 when we got her. I give the vets and staff only high marks for caring for our "kitten" all these years and look forward to continued good care going forward.

There's nothing you want more from your Vet than for them to have the very best interest in mind for your pet (and not about making more money from unnecessary procedures/vaccines/etc). Dr. Kaaren is just that. She is so knowledgable, kind and straight forward.

Wow!! the option for telemedicine is fantastic! My new puppy ingested something he shouldn’t, and my choice was to go to the emergency clinic or use telemedicine! Within 10 minutes of registering, and then chatting with a vet, I found that I did not need to take him to the emergency clinic! What a relief! And it was FREE!!! Puppy will be OK, got our answers quickly and didn’t get exposed to who knows what at the e-clinic!

I have had many years of bringing my dogs to Minnetonka Animal Hospital for both standard maintenance care, and end of life care when needed. The staff has all been professional, helpful, and kind. When I brought in my newest dog, Dory, shortly after my last dog had passed, they were as excited with me about her as they had been supportive through my grief experience so recently with my others. They are wonderful and as helpful with small things (what is up with this hair loss?) as with the big questions (how do I know it is time to say goodby?). I cannot imagine better people

As long as I've had rabbits, I've brought them to Minnetonka Animal Hospital. The staff is phenomenal. Every person there just wants the best for your pet and it shows. They've answered every question I've ever had and eased any anxiety I had about my pets' health. My girls, Laverne & Shirley, started sneezing recently, so I took them to Minnetonka Animal Hospital to make sure everything was fine. The staff were wonderful with my girls and we don't have any more sneezes! I'd recommend them not just to bunny and other exotic pet owners, but to any pet owners.

Leilani and Kaaren have a vast knowledge and they and staff are always so respectful of what helps bunnies feel comfortable—even if that means examining them from the floor some days. They always make time for an emergency and give high-quality care. We’ve also had them perform a tooth procedure, which went very well.
