Drs. Deb & Pete have solved simple and highly complex health issues with our dogs (and now cat) over the past 20 years. They are highly knowledgeable and passionate professionals. Grateful that they serve our neighborhood.

I called SPH this morning because my cat was stationary and not eating/drinking. I had never brought her into SPH before or spoken to anyone at SPH. The receptionist recognized the urgency and was able to set me up with an appointment within two hours. The Doctor and nurses all came out to explain what the issue was an what was done to help my cat. They were all so kind and professional. I'll be bringing my cat here from now on. Thank you all so much!

Our 14 year old retriever had decided it was her time to cross the rainbow bridge. I called to make an appointment to have her euthanized. I was very upset when told that we would have to say our goodbyes outside at the door. I explained that my dog was unable to walk any more (Possible stroke) and I was told they would get her in. I was in shock that a pet hospital that claims to love and care for animals would allow a scared ailing dog go into a strange place with strangers at their most vulnerable time. (Yes I under stand COVID restrictions) but when asked other vets allow family in during this procedure. I will NEVER bring another animal to Southdale Pet Hospital!

My mom has been going to Southdale Pet Hospital for over 20 years so of course I bring my dog here too. Every single person who works here is kind, attentive, and thoughtful. They go out of their way to make you and your dog feel taken care of. I would never go anywhere else.

I absolutely love this pet hospital. My irritable cat Mak has been coming here for years now, and now our new puppy TJ. I learned my lesson the hard way with dealing with “corporate run vet clinics” with our other dog, and so many inconsistencies and not trying to find answers to health issues on their part. With Southdale you get excellent veterinarians, and staff that love what they do, and provide the best care and communication. As TJ grows, so does our trust in Southdale. Love the staff here! One added note here: Even when our 15 year old cat Mak had to be put to sleep, Dr. Adams and staff handled it in a very classy, very peace of mind, very loving way. Even with Covid restrictions in place, they made a way for her passing to be an easier road, and knowing she was in the care of such wonderful professionals in her final minutes. Thank you Dr. Adams.

I love this place. Best vet I’ve ever had. Doctors are so nice, staff is so caring. Prices are extremely reasonable. I’ve never felt better about anyone caring for my dog. Just an awesome practice in every way.

Friendly,knowledgeable staff. Just moved in to the area, first time dog owner and the staff made me feel comfortable. We were able to FaceTime while our puppy was getting looked at.

Although I’ve spent a lot of money here compared to if I had chosen another vet, I do feel like they genuinely care and work to make sure that they’ve exhausted all options when my pets have been sick. My Dog loves to come here, and Dr Pete is awesome with both my dog and cat. Highly recommend.

Very thoughtful practice. Communicate well with what will be going on with your pet and are friendly every visit. Plus they tell me my dog is cute.

The people that work there are extremely nice however they are one of the very more expensive pet hospitals around.

We take our new golden puppy there and they take great care of her! The staff is super friendly and really knowledgeable! Highly recommend

My family has been taking our dogs here for the last 20 years and I couldn't express how kind and knowledgeable everyone at this hospital is. I trust them completely with my pets and I know they genuinely care. Both doctors are phenomenal as are the staff.

Great Doctors/Great Staff-They knew my pets! They saw my Barney-Beagle Dog but, he past away:7/09 & now I've got Energy- Tabby Cat! We Love Southdale Pet Hospital! ????????????????????????

They tested my new kitten and were willing to help with any questions I had. There was a bit of a wait near the end of the day-just like a human doctor.

We have been taking our dogs to Southdale Pet Hospital since 2000 and they have been extremely helpful and caring towards our pets. Our first dog started exhibiting symptoms related to her kidneys, and we were (properly) advised to take her to the U of M because they would be better equipped to diagnose that particular problem (turned out to be melamine in the high-end dog food I had been buying at a retail store). They didn't try to upsell me on vitamins or that ilk, nor ask me to waste time with guesswork and multiple medications. Because of their honest, that dog lived another 4 years. Our second dog was a rescue that had diabetic issues for the past few years, and I was again honestly informed that diabetic dogs can live anywhere from as few years as one up to 5 or 6 more years. After two years, it was obvious she was having a hard time, and these wonderful people were willing to come to my house to make our dog's passing more personal and meaningful to all of us. In short, these folks are trustworthy and honest, and you would be well served to allow them to take care of your pets.
