I brought our dog into today to get a check up and after waiting 25m in a room (even though we we’re an opening appointment), I decided I would leave and try to reschedule for another time. Unfortunately, the staff seemed surprised, even irritated, that I would leave after waiting 25m. I had assumed they would be very apologetic. I didn’t feel like a valuable customer with two dogs at the clinic, I felt like they were doing me a favor by even serving us at all. We’ve found a new veterinarian and will not be returning.

I love this place! We switched from a different Vet clinic where things were way over priced and I didn't connect with the Vets. I can't say enough good things!

We really like this vet practice. It has good vets, friendly staff, and is just far enough outside the center of the Twin Cities to be a good value.

Not big on leaving reviews but I felt this had to be mentioned. My dog jumped out of my window driving home and got picked up and sent here. They did lab work and did board her for two days so I can understand a charge for boarding and charges for what the lab results said were needed to make her healthy. Out of the five tests they ran, four required medication to get her healthy. OK cool, I'm on board with that. But the fifth test, which came back negative, they decided to treat her for anyways. And bill me for treatment anyways. EVEN THOUGH THE TEST WAS NEGATIVE. I have no problem with paying for the lab work, and 4/5 treatments that were necessary. But don't charge me for a fifth medication, that even though you told me was unnecessary, you gave it to her anyway. ABSOLUTE MONEY GRAB Charge me for 4/5 treatments that were required. But if the fifth one isn't necessary, the only reason to Continue treatment is to make more money for yourself. Absolute crooks.

Vets are extremely busy right now but they were able to fit my lab in for a visit. Great service from Dr. Scanlan and his staff.

** Warning to new clients - Go somewhere else** Wildly Unprofessional I inquired about a pet service appointment online and received emails from Ashley with the date, time and cost of the service. I followed up via email to confirm my appointment. It wasn’t until I arrived that I learned that Ashley had not actually set my appointment or given me an indication that I needed to bring documentation on my dog (which we have and would of brought if we had been told to) The groomer that came out was exceptionally rude, blaming me for the lack of information that their staffer Ashley didn’t get before the appointment and would not call our vet for records. I called and asked to talk to someone in charge (I think it was Eva or Ava that answered) for an explanation and she said they were too busy to talk or give a call back. There are a lot of pet clinics and groomers out there that would be glad to have your business - this place is not one of them.

Two weeks ago I brought my two dogs in for a quick nail trim. While the work was performed quickly and on time, I didn’t realize it was going to cost more than $60? For a nail trim? They had my dogs less than 10 minutes. Moreover, every time I bring my dogs in for grooming the price increases. I understand the concept of inflation but these increases are seen with each visit.

I brought my two 7 week old kittens into this clinic for the first time on July 15th for their vaccinations, leukemia tests and to be dewormed. When I received the bill I thought it was high so I checked around to see what other vetinary clinics charge for the same services. First thing I asked was do I have to bring in a fecal sample for deworming? They all said no, they just deworm them automatically since deworming a kitten who doesn't have worms will not harm them in any way. Basically they performed an unnecessary fecal test on my kittens. Had I been asked if I wanted the test done or just wanted them dewormed I would have said just go ahead and deworm them. But I wasn't asked. Instead they charged me $14.70 per kitten for the tests. The next day they informed me that I needed to pickup their deworming medication and give it to them myself. My husband picked up the medication and was charged another $14.70. they charged me 6 times for the deworming that I had to do myself.

We travel around the country with our dogs and dr Scanlon and his staff are the best we have found. Dr Scanlons years of experience, competence and practical advice are a breath of fresh air compared to most of the veterinary community.

My girlfriend and I recently brought our pet to this client all I have to say is we were both VERY disappointed! We felt as if the staff was very rude and unprofessional and once we got home we realized we got sent home with the wrong medication I feel as if that should be better monitored so that this doesn’t happen again to anyone else. We will not be returning to this clinic.

I would give negative stars if I could. I spent over $2900.00 in four days between Otter Lake and an emergency vet I had to go to after three days of poor care and neglect at the hands of this clinic. My beloved dog couldn’t have been saved anyway, but they made me come in three days in a row and he suffered needlessly because of them. They wouldn’t do the tests I asked for and that’s why I finally went to the emergency vet. Each day I picked him up he was filthy and covered in his own urine. I asked them to do whatever they needed to do to find out what was wrong with him and after the third day when they told me they didn’t do any new tests I had to take him to an emergency vet. Due to covid I wasn’t allowed in with him, so I trusted them to do their best and do right by him and they failed. Please don’t trust them with your pets. They were also unsympathetic and unapologetic. One of my biggest regrets in life was trusting them.
