I'm not usually one to write reviews, unless they're positive. However, I had a really negative phone experience today. One of my dogs developed glaucoma and is on BID drops. The pharmacy left me a voicemail saying the prescription request was denied. So, I called the clinic to find out why. They had recommended I bring my dog to a specific clinic "Companion Animal Eye Clinic" to see an Ophthalmologist. I had originally scheduled an appointment for her there, but found a different clinic that was not only closer, but the exam fee was less expensive. When I was on the phone and mentioned her eye appointment on the 28th, the receptionist responded, "Actually, we called Companion Animal Eye Clinic, they said you cancelled, and didn't reschedule an appointment" I was really taken aback because 1. It felt invasive 2. It felt as if I was being accused of taking poor care of Lily. It seems ridiculous that I'm even writing this, but my dogs are like my children. I took that very personally, I would do just about anything for them. I also happen to be a healthcare professional, and found the whole experience odd. I think it's one thing to be an advocate for your patients, but shaming clients over the phone is not a professional way to go about it. While I try to be understanding, because I recognize how burnt out everyone in healthcare is...this made me not want to return to this clinic. Turns out the rx request had been approved and it was a mistake on Walgreens end. At the end of the day, it was a totally unnecessary interaction that left me feeling crummy.

Love VCA our family has taken every single one of our pets here to see Dr.Kokes. She is the absolute best, ( all of them are decent but she is the home run out of the stadium of veterinarians). She has an amazing personality, she is amazing wit animals every single one of our animals from guinea pigs to dogs, she has been our vet for. She is thorough, handles our babies as if they are her own. She’s been there for us on our toughest days & our best involving our animals. Compassionate, caring, ethical , honest, thorough, educated has even made a rare diagnosis on my Oscar baby which means she researched & researched ran extensive tests etc and even called me on her day off to explain it to me and educate myself on it and gave me a variety of options on where to go from there. I canno’t emphasis enough how amazing of a not only veterinarian but person she is. Thanks Dr.kokes & VCA! - Dominique & Amy,Oscar, Skitch ,Tucker & Daisy ❤️

They were very helpful, understanding, informative and just overall genuinely care for pets! I was in tears after going to them for a second opinion because Blaine Central Vet is complete trash and didn't help my furr baby at all.

Brought my dog here cause she had a UTI. Had to wait 3 days to be seen. Needed antibiotics was told I'd be called when they were ready. I was not by the time I called they were closed 6:00pm. I'm extremely dissatisfied and disappointed in this service.

Great for rabbits. Not so great for dogs. I have brought my rabbits there for most of their lives and have loved the service and price. I then decided to bring my dog and it was a bit if a nightmare. Everytime I brought her in it ended up being like $500 each time. Luckily her other owner spoke up about things and was able to get a more affordable price. But they have sooo many hidden fees and are not upfront about the cost of things. For example my dog was scheduled for surgery and they gave a quote and I assume that labs were included but they weren't. Another issues is that they don't schedule things correctly. After spending tons of cash we finally decided that they were not a good vet for our dog. You really have to stay on top of everything if you go to the vca for dog care our your bill and records can get out of hand.

VCA All About Pets could not be a better place to care for your furry family members. They are kind, work hard to help our pets stay healthy, and they are cost-conscious - never recommending anything that isn't necessary or without being very clear about costs. They are lovely people with only our pet's best interests at heart. We would absolutely recommend them to any family that includes animals!

Should be renamed "All About Cash". Don't even try to reason with these people. They upsell you like a used car lot. Their vets are forced to make decisions based on profit margins and can't even treat your pet unless you submit to a battery of unnecessary tests created to raise shareholder stock value. This isn't how health care should work for humans or their pets. Greedy, corporate and ugly - this chain of clinics is disgusting.

They were amazing with my cat. They were patient with us since his appointment was an emergency and they helped us come up with a plan in our price range. They even called the next day to check on my cat.

In March the pandemic made vet care very difficult to get. We knew our dog was aging rapidly, but couldn't get him to his vet who had done surgery on him. In June, our regular vet finally opened, but even after a 4 hour wait, they couldn't see our old, sick dog or give us an appt. After calling every vet in the area I found this vet, who saw the dog right away. He ran blood tests and gave us the bad news. We came back 2 days later for euthanasia. We were lucky to be able to stay with the dog until he passed; the only mobile vet to do home euthanasia had a 2 week waiting list. The staff was very kind and patient. They allowed us (masked) into an examining room where we could comfort our dog, distracting him from any pain or anxiety with licks of peanut butter off my finger. When we were ready, they sedated him and then out him down. They let us stay with the body until we were ready, and then they boxed the body for us. The whole procedure was around an hour. After 6 weeks, we are still grieving, but ALL ABOUT PETS did all we could have asked for, and they kept us safe at a very difficult time.

They got me in in a hurry for a sick stray kitten. prices were very reasonable, bet is very knowledgeable and pragmatic. We will continue to use them to care for our pets. Easy to find right off of Duluth and Hwy 100 in the strip mall attached to Lunds & Byerly's

This is br far the best place for pet owners in the Twin Cities. Dr Kokes is miles ahead of others and has cared for 4 of our kids over the years. She's gone above and beyond with our care and is very proactive in their care and success.

Great doctor's, friendly staff. Over and above for animal Care. My whole family brings pets here. They also get that sometimes you don't have the money. Like I know my cats teeth need to be cleaned, but they get I don't have $500 to throw around and don't make me feel guilty at all

Exceptional care for my Good Boy, gave me all of the information I needed as a new dog owner, and told me what preventative medications I needed to keep my new best friend healthy as he grew. So grateful for all the wonderful guidance and compassion.

So I made a huge mistake and left this place a bad review when I meant to give a different vet a bad review. I am correcting that. VCA has been nothing but professional and kind and taken very good care of my dogs. I trust them and their care. Thank you and sorry again!

Expert. Courteous. Quick. Reliable. Dr. Sepulveda is awesome. I've taken two cats there for the past five years. Doctors there correctly diagnosed multiple serious illnesses and effectively extended the life of both my felines.

My dog was violently ill and close to death without a diagnosis. VCA went above and beyond contacting a specialist at the U of M and was incredible thorough the entire process! The vet called me daily and gave me all of my options.... She is back to her old self and almost 12 years old now!

Thank you to the staff here today when we sadly had to put our beloved family cat down. The staff had the room ready, and were very warm and respectful. It was a difficult day and they guided us through the process with patience and grace.

Dr. Kokes cared for our dog for her entire life of 16 years. She received attentive care. From both Dr. Kokes and staff. She was good at explaining things and worked with us to make treatment decisions and referrals when necessary and always informed us of costs in advance. Highly recommend.

I really like VCA. They were on a recommendation list when I got my first cat Pumpkin at the Humane Society. Later I brought in a cat I had found abandoned and they took great care of her too. She had a hernia that they were able to fix while she was being spayed. She was ready to play the following day. Luckily the medications for her pain helped her sleep. She's doing very well and seems unaware that she has stitches. I really appreciate how patient they are with my hearing loss. People are not always kind or patient when it comes to relaying information to me that I need to know. Which can be very dangerous in terms of medical information. So I am very grateful to the staff here for dealing with a little extra work.
