“It’s no from me dawg.” - Randy Jackson. I’m not even interested in trying the place a second time because from start to finish it was bad. I gave it 2 stars on the chance the entire staff had a bad day. A few things that are fixable professional behaviors: 1. Be timely. My appointment started 20 minutes late in the middle of the afternoon. The vet tech and front desk staff chatted and ate candy while I was asked to wait outside until my appointment started. The building has a large pane glass window which allows the front desk and waiting room to be viewed easily. 2. Be consistent. I was confused on their Covid protocol. The sign outside said masks are required but when I walked in the front desk staff was unmasked and hid their face by either turning their chair around or left the room. When walking to my room another veterinarian walked by unmasked. 2.b. Be a professional. The kicker, my dog’s veterinarian walked into our room unmasked and proceeded with the physical until 2-3 minutes when she realized it. Then, right in front of me, she goes on to blame the vet tech for allowing her to be unmasked. This type of issue ought to be dealt with in private. I’m not trying to debate the veracity of Covid/mask, my point is less hypocrisy. 3. Be courteous. You may have heard the same question thousands of times from different people but the question is new for each one of us. I asked the vet several questions specific to dogs with fur that doesn’t shed such as what to do about eye crusts? The answers terse and unhelpful. In short these examples along with a few other issues (not stated) were enough to look else where. I brought a 12 week old puppy for vaccines to the clinic in Nov 2021 and maybe (hopefully) it’s improved by the time this is ever read by someone.

While shopping for a new vet, which already have me anxiety, I was panicked also to find myself in a kitty dental emergency. Everyone at Pilot Knob handled me, my calls, questions and my baby Eddie with patience, professionalism & kindness. Bringing Eddie anywhere in the car is stressful for both of us, but both times we were in to visit (one for his dental appointment) everyone was wonderful! I feel so good about being referred to your clinic & appreciate everyone I've been in contact with. Thank you so much for everything!

This has been a great experience for us. We have been taking ours dogs there for five years We had to put down two of dogs during the COVID-19 restrictions. The staff went above and beyond to make this process as comforting as possible. They are now overseeing the health needs of our new puppy. I would highly recommend them.

I had an unfortunate experience at a different local veterinary clinic when my pets were very young. One of my coworkers recommended Pilot Knob AH because he said he had been taking his pets there for years. I can see why! They are very good at communicating, especially at stressful times like when I am worried about my pet's health. They have never just gone ahead and done an optional procedure that is very expensive without asking first. They also always follow up about my pet and make sure he is doing okay after he undergoes a procedure or after an appointment if he was sick.

Very kind people work here! They have always been eager to help with whatever questions I have, or problems my pets have.

My parents have been taking our family dog to Pilot Knob Animal Hospital for as long as I can remember. They've only ever had positive things to say about the staff and the care our dog Watson has received. So when it came time to choose a vet for my new rescue pup Ernie, there was no doubt in my mind that we were going to choose Pilot Knob Animal Hospital for his care--even though we live 25 minutes away! Whether on the phone or in person, every interaction I have with staff is a pleasant, positive one. Any time I have an emergency or feel stressed about my pup, they answer my questions on the phone and squeeze us in for an appointment if need be. The quality of care we receive is top notch. I know he is always in good hands. I also appreciate that they don't run expensive tests just to charge us more money. They are very honest with what tests or procedures they advise. Can't say enough good things about PKAH. I highly recommend!

I have been going to this clinic since I moved to Eagan 8 years ago and they have been fantastic! I had 2 very old (19 years) cats and within 2 years sadly had to put both down. The staff was so caring, and the second cat had a sudden onset breathing issue and they said I could come right away which was so kind. I now have a new kitten and again, the care and kindness is great! I would highly recommend them.

The Pilot Knob Team have always been very friendly for every visit and exceptionally informative. we just recently had to take our 11yr old Manchester terrier in for an dental cleaning and extraction. I wouldn't trust any other vet team with my fur babies.

I called last Friday in regards to my old man Pauly who was having some issues with diarrhea. I spoke with a young lady named Mandy, who was super sweet and full of knowledge. I do not bring my Pauly there and she was kind enough to offer her advice. I followed everything thing she told me and she even called to follow up. Thank you for taking the time to help us.

I love having Pilot Knob as our vet! Our pup is happy after appointments and gets lots of love during. I feel comfortable asking questions without the fear of being judged for not knowing something, and they take the time to help me completely understand! Can not recommend them enough!!

The visit was fine. Everyone was nice and the appt was brief and helpful. The next day I placed a phone call about transferring one of my dogs meds to HyVee and I got a very unprofessional response from “Sandy” saying “this would be simple but the doctor is very busy so I’ll submit a request but I’m not sure when it’ll get done”. When I questioned further about what the projected timeline would be I got a short/curt response and overall poor customer service etiquette. Perhaps she was having a bad day, but it certainly makes me question keeping my business going to this clinic. I may check elsewhere for more patient and kind customer service. There are plenty of options in town to explore.

I have been bringing my pets to Pilot Knob for care (and sometimes boarding) for over 5 years. This is a great clinic! I am so glad I found them. The staff is wonderful and the level of care is superior. The pricing is comparable to what you would expect. And just as important- my dog and 2 cats do very well there during the visits.

I am a worry wart cat mom, so there's no way I would bring my cats to a vet i didn't trust 100%. Dr Yip and Dr Handley are knowledgeable, patient with both me and my cats, and never let me leave the office without a full understanding of what they are doing and why they're doing it. I know they care about my cats as much as I do. The vet techs as well are just as sweet and patient as the vet. If you're looking for compassionate people who love animals and know what they're doing, look no further!
