Called at 5:45 a.m. due to concerns surrounding my dogs hips/legs, the person who answered the phone was very nice, was able to get all my information and my dogs information over the phone to save me time when I got there, let me know the initial cost to be seen and was also kind enough to let me know when the staff were doing a shift change so that I didn't arrive during that time which would cause me to have to wait longer. Considering I was driving from 1.5 hours away I really appreciated this information. When we got there my dog was taken in and seen immediately, and not even 20 minutes later I got a call from the Dr. who had seen my dog to give me an update. The staff were so lovely and kind to my dog, and to me as well!

My dog received excellent care at Blue Pearl in Duluth, MN on a Saturday when he wouldn't stand or walk. The staff are very compassionate and obviously animal lovers. This was our first visit there so I had no idea it could take hours. Waiting in the parking lot for 3 hours could have been avoided if I was told I might want to go home and wait for their call. I'd like to suggest they tell people that. But aside from that, I was completely satisfied with the care my dog received and will return if it ever becomes necessary.

There can’t be a worse feeling in the whole world than when your furry family member has a severe accident on a weekend ..this happened to our Molly we live in a area where the nearest Emergency Vet is 60 miles away ..our Vet referred us to …

Only care about money. Not your pet. Been there 3 times. First 2 times they put my animal down. This 3rd time today, they tried talking me into putting my cat down over a urethra blockage. Charged me $323. And sent me home and told me to bring him to his vet in morning. As my cat suffers.

My dog is sick and idk if she will die. They won’t take her in. Said they do t have the capability. All I wanted is to know if she will be okay till tomorrow or needs something to take her to my vet. They won’t look at her. How is this an emergency vet clinic.. do not go here!!

Dr. Hart, was very professional, took his time to ask several questions and explained things in a simple manner.

this place really takes advantage of you during urgent needs. if you bring your pet here, they will charge an exorbitant fee. $400 just for an x-ray. i guess when you're the only place in town, you get away with charging whatever you want. look up this company online, real shady practices, nobody has anything good to say about them. they keep pushing "blood donors and blood transfusions" it's weird and creepy. also be prepared to wait HOURS for nothing, they will make you wait in the parking lot and give you NO updates until finally you call them and they say "oh we were just going to call you" . this place is full of crooks, only take your pet here if you absolutely have to, otherwise stay away.

They made one of the most difficult decisions more comfortable for us. They showed compassion and care twords us and our pup in her final hours. The bill ended up being about half of what I was expecting.

Won't recommend this place. They really need to rethink their “capacity” criteria. Minor emergency care need vs life-threatening occurrence They declined the care to a pet that just died in our hands because of the capacity nonsense.

This place was amazing. Great staff!!!! Very very heartwarming people. I hope I never have to do another emergency vet visit again but if I do I'll be sure to come here. Truly an amazing experience for the such a terrible time.

Horrible experience. If you want compassion and people who actually care for your pets, don’t bother coming here.

They took care of my dog that was having seizures and they were fast and professional. Middle of the night help when I really needed help for my pup.

It was a Holiday weekend and a family pet started vomiting yellow foam and had blood for stool. He was visiting from out of town so no local vet connections in Duluth. Blue Pearl was recommended by another vet clinic's voicemail and they came to the rescue. Gave us reassurance and were very calming. They handled his treatment and provided clear communications so we could get him back home in good health. It is emergency treatment so expensive but thank goodness they were there!

I live on the iron range and needed emergent care for my dog on Saturday. I was so relieved that Blue Pearl was in Duluth. Axel was welcomed quickly and was well taken care of. He ended up just needing IV fluids and stomach rest. I was pleased the vets didn’t do any unnecessary tests. I was able to take him home in the evening. The vets and staff obviously loved little Axel and were happy he recovered well. Thank you Blue Pearl.

Best emergency animal hospital in Duluth. Can take some time to get in the door if your pet's condition is non-critical, but the vet and front desk staff were so kind. I ended up getting bad news about my pet, and even as upset as I was, I was impressed by how compassionate they were. When they said they were sorry that she was in pain, it was obvious that it wasn't just a box they were checking off to sound like they cared. They genuinely regretted there wasn't more they could do for her. I left with the impression that everyone there actually cares about the animals, unlike terrible experiences I have had at animal hospitals before where they clearly only care about $$$.

If at all possible, avoid using. Out pet had gotten into a fishing lure, had four barns stuck in her lip, face and arm. Was bleeding all over. We called ahead and registered and told them the bleeding was quite severe. We called when we arrived, were told someone would come out, waited in our car for over a half hour while our pet continued to bleed, called again and were told we would be waiting anywhere from one to three hours before anyone would even come look at our pet. We called some medical friends who had the right tools and ability to help us and we left. Our dog was weak, fatigued after waiting. At the very least this “emergency vet” should have come assessed the situation. They were very rude and not helpful and I would also say unethical. Avoid at all costs.

Won't help a sick, dying animal. Needed the money first before even helping the dog.

Terrible. All they care about is money. Left a sick puppy to die. Do not recommend awful place!

We sat in the parking lot for 5 hours with zero warning that it would take that long.

6 month puppy had a neurotoxic response to something. We discovered it at 2am as he stumbled and twitched, and couldn't drink. Scared as hell, we called BluePearl. They took care of puppy, giving him fluids, potassium, and a sedative so he could sleep while we waited for bloodwork. Doc facilitated a transfer to the vet the next morning. Everyone was very kind, and doc provided a ton of info each step of the way through the night. It's expensive, but it's an ER vet so I expected that. They likely saved our puppies life, and we are grateful.

Took our dog here for an emergency and she was seen right away. She spent the night and we received photos of her and regular updates. The staff discussed the costs ahead of time so there were no surprises. Very courteous and patient staff.

Had the scare of my life tonight, thank god for this amazing clinic! The whole staff was wonderful. They were all calm, knowledgeable and the doctor was so very kind to my girl. I can not thank this team enough for taking caring of my Nellie. I will be forever grateful for the amazing care they gave and keeping me updated every step of the way. It meant the world. Surgery went well and we are hoping her recovery will go the way we want and she will not need more. Thank you again, from the bottom of my heart I truly mean you are all are amazing and will be recommended by me.

So if you don't have cash available in your account don't go here it's Saturday at 4pm we had a dog get hit by a car we're willing to pay the 3800 . But they are unwilling to take money on Monday its today. Or nothing. 2000 today is not good enough. They seam nice and capable just not on weekends

Very grateful for this caring veterinary service! Since they are the only, or one of the only emergency service in the area, the wait for my stable cat was 4-6 hours (also holiday weekend) and that was stated up front. Also, your wait does not begin until you have been checked in (registered via the phone or not) by a staff member. Bring your to-do list while you wait. The tech came out and updated us every hour or so where we were on the queue. They did not up-sell us but he did not need anything more than a look-see and antibiotics.

I called half an hour prior to showing up in the parking lot, still had to wait in the car for an hour with my dogs face severely swollen. I get my dog back 3 hours later with instructions that say nothing besides give her benadryl. Which i was already doing, but they said they were unable to tell me over the phone. Almost 300 dollars, and 4 hours later.
