All the staff Is wonderful. You can tell they are all so caring with the animals. I’m so glad I found this vet for my sweet girls last few month of life. I knew when I got a new puppy that this is the vet I’d be using again. Thank you for taking such great care of my pups!

My visit was great from the first phone call to the end of the appointment! Lynn was great at getting me and my best friend, Lucy in to see Dr. Melling. Ashley was great at getting Lucy feeling at ease and comfortable during her visit. Candi, is always amazing, no matter what she does.. Dr. Melling was excellent at giving me a concise, focused game plan and giving me the best explanations on why she chose her course of action. I feel like Lucy is in great hands and I am looking forward to seeing them soon!

My cat has a cold and diminished appetite, called multiple vets looking for an opening. Called here asked for their earliest opening, explained the symptoms, their receptionist said I would need to call the emergency clinic in New Hope. After pushing to see if they had any opening I was told they had one for the next day due to a cancellation. I booked the appointment for the next day. They require a nonrefundable down payment to book the appointment of $60. I paid. The next day we come to the appointment. They take my cat in back to do the examination. They bring her back saying they couldn't even get her out of the carrier, which the top comes off. They claim she is untouchable. they never asked for our help with making her feel more comfortable. They said they were unable to preform any tests on her, but that she doesn't look that bad and should be fine on her own. Seems like they might be fine if they don't have to worry about the animal being scared, or sick, which in my opinion defeats the purpose of a vet visit. I was told that my $60 would go to anything needed in our next visit, and I can guarantee we will not be going back. EDIT: After Vet response below and a call to clear things up: What I have taken from both of your responses, is best case scenario, it was a complete breakdown of communication at your office, and worst-case scenario the office is not really all that honest. First comments I'm addressing: “but it appears you were not present with this appointment” & "thus it would have been helpful if you were present for this appointment” Not really sure how this applies, since my husband was present and was not asked to assist with a previously noted aggressive pet. This was not a drop off appointment, the clinic did not allow us to assist in soothing our pet during the exam. I can only assume when we spoke on the phone stating that “it’s illegal to have a pet parent in the room” was another miscommunication, or poor choice since you said she’s was noted previously as aggressive. Next, “likely the reason your regular vet could not see you.” & “have a good lines of communication” It was fully disclosed in the scheduling phone call that my cat normally takes Gabapentin before appointments, but we having just moved to the area were unable to refill the Rx as we normally would. We were unable to obtain another Rx from your clinic as no exam was completed, either before or after our appointment. (That does make sense, but one would hope you would then realize other non-Rx steps would need to be taken) After the appointment we were instructed to contact our previous vet in hopes a refill of Gabapentin could be sent. So again hopefully just a miscommunication, because all of this information was given well before the appointment. The clinic did not take suitable steps working with our animal to give even minimum care. No other options for recovery were given, not even for over-the-counter supplements that could aid in her recovery such as Lysine or Forti Fora. Addressing the call I had in regards to this review the person I spoke with stated my original review was “the opposite of what happened” I have yet to be convinced anything in my review is incorrect or mislead. To their credit, I will say they did grant us a refund. They did state they gave my husband the option to refund or use it toward the next visit. To which he states they simply told him it would be applied to the next visit; again best case scenario here is a miscommunication. I do not dispute paying to keep an appointment. I do however have issue with a clinic that will not take appropriate steps to set their patients and staff for success. It is no wonder a place like this would be dealing with high turnover of staff with so many miscommunications and if situations are handled like this. I am sorry you feel that by writing this review I have been rude to you. I feel that having a pet with high anxiety is very common, especially for cat owners, and to know how how a clinic responds to your pet when they are anxious and sick is invaluable.

I bring 2 dogs in to see Dr. Marx. She is AMAZING! I've brought in my poodle for incontinence issues. Usually when you bring a dog into a vet, they see them, give diagnosis, then not think of them again. She emailed me about a week later to ask more questions on his issue. She was still working on him without even charging me to get down to the root cause of his problem. I think that is just amazing and shows the care and compassion for animals. The entire staff are amazing people. They get to know you and remember you from one visit to the next.

Absolutely love this vet!! You can truly tell that they care about the furry babies!! They are amazingly informative about what they’re doing or what needs to be done. I never am in doubt of the excellence in care that is provided!! Thank you Well Haven!!!

I have been taking my dog to WellHaven for about a year now, they have been a blessing to me as a first time dog mom! They made sure I have understood everything when my dog had to go in for a procedure and called to check in the following day! They are all so kind and helpful!

We have brought in several pups for various treatments, from simple checkups to significant surgical issues. They always do a great job of getting us seen right away when time sensitive. Everyone is always pleasant to work with, answers all my questions patiently (and boy to I have lots of questions) before and after visits, and provide detailed after care and medication instructions. Thank you for taking such good care of our furry friends.

I cannot say enough good things about the team at Wellhaven. My cats have been seeing Dr. Melling for many years and we followed her from another clinic. She is so knowledgeable, thorough, professional and very sweet and kind. The vet techs are also amazing! As a nurse working with covid, I really appreciate their covid safety practices without sacrificing quality care. I hope if people see any negative reviews, it’s important to consider the source. As a nurse I see a lot of people who don’t necessarily understand the system and how legally certain practices need to be followed to protect the practitioners license so they can keep providing this amazing care or why things cost a certain amount and why no healthcare worker whether it is for animals or people cannot give free care and sustain any quality care. I have been with Wellhaven & Dr. Melling through the devastating loss of a pet, getting a new one, and managing my senior cats chronic conditions. They try to find a cost effective way for me to care for my cats, while also maintaining their business. They are truly looking out for your animals best interest and they are not going to play you, lie to you, etc. They are always honest, up front, consistent, clear and reliable. I am so grateful to the whole team at Wellhaven. <3

We don't know what we would do without Dr Melling! Our beautiful 6 year old Malinois, Roo, was adopted from Texas when she was just over a year old. We were told she was up for adoption due to the owner's new job and Roo's long hours in the crate. We later discovered Roo had been subject to some inappropriate attack training which resulted in a fear of all strangers. Dr Melling has been so kind and accommodates Roo for every appointment. She is so compassionate towards her despite her fear and attempt to escape at every opportunity. At home Roo is such a gentle, sweet, and affectionate girl - we don't know what we'd do without Dr Melling to take care of her health!

Dr Melling and staff stayed open for an emergency with my pet. They were very carrying and professional. I can not say enough good things about everyone that works there. We are so grateful to have Wellhaven nearby as we navigate the first year with our puppy. They have been so helpful and kind and have made room for us on short notice when we had a couple significant concerns. We got the Wellness plan right away which has absolutely been worth the money and has made it easy to budget for vet costs while making sure our pup is taken care of with any vaccinations and medications.

Everyone was extremely sweet and loving towards my pets. The atmosphere was beautiful, modern and clean. I was also very impressed with their annual personalized preventative care memberships that they offer - it's brilliant and affordable! My pets and I will definitely be sticking around with WellHaven Pet Health for a long time.
