We absolutely adore Blaine Kennels. They are kind and have flexible hours. Our nervous dog is always excited to see them. Rates are totally reasonable, too!

The people that work there know dogs. My dog loves going there and comes home tired which is great. The boarders get out with the dogs that are in training. And their training program is great.

We were on a hunt for a board and train place that would take good care of our big guy. We wanted him to be part of our wedding within a few months and Thomas and his crew did just that! They broke him of a few puppy habits and got him to be a well mannered dog of society. We really saw a difference when he came back home. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for dog training.

We have been searching for a kennel that would take our difficult dog for years and finally came across this wonderful place. Thomas offered a meet and greet and showed us his magic! Our dog typically does not do well with other people but Thomas and the team here all work wonders with her. We feel so lucky to be able to count on Blaine Kennels with their care and flexibility.

This was our first time boarding our pup Frisco. I was so nervous she would be scared the whole time and come home a wreck. She was not at all, she was the happiest and most tired I've ever seen. We will definitely be back, thank you so much for taking great care of our fur baby.

I stopped by Blaine Kennels unannounced on Friday afternoon to pick up some information and get a quick look at the place. Thomas stopped what he was doing and spent about 45 minutes with me talking about dogs and his training philosophy. He also gave me a tour. I couldn't have asked for more and couldn't have been more impressed. We'll definitely be taking our puppy there for daycare.

My 4-year-old Australian Shepherd was impossible to walk on a leash and would be very hyper in certain situations. After training with Thomas at Blaine Kennels, I now have a dog who walks nicely on a leash and is much calmer in any situation. The transformation is amazing and I would highly recommend Blaine Kennels.

Thomas and the team at Blaine Kennels are fantastic, understanding, and professional. They have a unique and compassionate approach to training and building relationships with dogs, and I trust their professional judgement. They helped support my dog and my family through a hard transitional period, connecting with us on a personal level to provide the best services.

They literally made my wife cry (happy tears) the first time she saw our headstrong pitbull after spending four nights there. Our pit was a completely different dog and they took the time to give us some tips that are worth 100 times what we paid to kennel her. Amazing staff!

My husband got deployed and left me with a 5 month GSD. I honestly had no clue how to handle her especially her behavior. I went searching and noticed that Thomas, the owner, followed Caesar Milan’s techniques and immediately asked if we can speak over the phone. Keep in mind, we’re from out of state just visiting until my husband came back. I cannot say how amazing Thomas is. He is so accommodating and attentive to what kind of issues I was having with my GSD at home. I was having such a hard time with her walking and he was able to help educated me on how to hold the leash correctly and how to walk with confidence. He went out of his way to help me understand her body language and educated me on the importance of keeping her mentally simulated even by the smallest thing. I’m extremely sad that we have to go back to New Mexico but definitely will be coming back here again even if it’s just for daycare for my pups. Thank you Thomas and your team!! You guys are amazing!!

Blaine Kennels did a great job responding to COVID19. They've installed outdoor fence so you can pick up and drop off your dog outdoors, minimizing contact with other people and surfaces. They're also completely aware that our highly anxious/nervous dog is dealing with more separation anxiety after being around us 24/7. They are so patient and understanding. We wouldn't bring our dog anywhere else.

I would leave zero stars if I could. We trusted this place to take care of our family dog while on vacation as we have many times before. This time we returned home only to find him with sores on his elbows that were weeping and a burn mark on his neck. They put a bark collar on him which resulted in the neck injury. We had to immediately take our dog to the vet where we also found he was down 12 pounds. Not to mention. We never received a call about his con6nor does appear that they attempted to treat his wounds. He is home tonight and terrified of any noise that he hears.

Holy smokes this place is amazing! They were so professional and quick to help get my fur baby registered easily. When we showed up LOiS got personal attention and Thomas was nice enough to show me the facility since it was our first visit. Throughout the day (since I was that crazy mom that emailed asking about my baby) I got quick email replies and even pics of my sweetie playing with other dogs! I couldn't have been happier with the experience and my puppy snoring next to me on the way home proved she couldn't have been happier either. Thanks Blaine Kennel Team for helping the center of my life have an amazing day while I was at work.

I tend to work long hours and have been taking my German Shepherd to daycare there since he was about 4 months old. He's now been going there for over 6 years. The staff has been very helpful in helping me raise him. The socialization he's received there during daycare has been outstanding. He loves it there. They make sure the dogs are compatible and in smaller groups. They are also open at 6:00 A.M. for drop off, which was important for me. We went through basic and advance training classes there with great results.

I cannot say enough great things about Thomas and the staff at Blaine Kennels. Our German Shepherd has been in daycare with them for over a year and has boarded there are needed. Our dog is not a typical daycare dog. That did not matter to them. They took on the challenge. Through their training and the Enrichment program he is worked both mentally and physically each day. He comes home calm and ready for whatever we have planned no matter what it might be.

The only place I would trust my fur babies with. The way our dogs behave when we pull up, whether they don't want to leave or excited to go in and see their extended family, says it all!!

We took our dog Bailey to Blaine kennels after she had been bitten twice at another dog day care facility. She has never been bitten by another dog once here due to their professional care, structured environment , and knowledge of canine behavior . They take excellent care of her and she comes home tired every time .

This facility deserves 5 negative stars but this was not an option. I recently boarded my 2 dogs for the first and LAST time at this place. Had a terrible experience. My pets were terribly neglected: The bag of treats I sent for them was never opened, they were never given the toys I packed for them, three-fourths of their food returned home with them...one of my dogs had lost a considerable amount of weight. I left 2 contact numbers in case my dog had gotten too stressed out....NO attempt was made to reach me. I purchased 3 additional playtime dates for each dog and seriously doubt they ever saw the light of day outside of regular potty times. If you truly love your pets.....please consider other options. They do not care about your pet and see only dollar signs. ** In response to owners comment: I spoke with your staff members several times prior to bringing my dogs to your facility. One of the questions asked was "Are rawhide chews allowed?" The answer was "yes". Therefore, I packed them. I handed the desk attendant a hand-written schedule that outlined exactly how I wanted their food, treats, toys and additional playtime dispersed to keep them comfortable and busy during their week's stay. I sent a bag of their favorite treats and it came home unopened. As for the toys....whether they should have them or not? this was not your decision to make. Yes TipToe does exhibit destructive behavior towards her toys. She is a puppy and I am well aware of how she plays with her toys. That is why I sent several! Razor's weight loss was not only perception. His back and hip bones were clearly visible. I know my pets very well. I sent 13 lbs. of food for them. Two varieties of flavor. Each bag had been opened but only a very small portion of each was dispensed. They are 60 lb. dogs and within a weeks time, at your facility, they maybe ate 5-6 lbs. This was totally unacceptable. It sounds like you need to get a handle on the kenneling division of your business....the "caring" aspect....leaves much to be desired.

Great staff and well maintained kennel. Not fancy like corporate owned boarding place, however it’s been great the last couple times.

Very very disappointed in our boarding experience with our two dogs. one dog came home smelling like another had peed all over him. That same dog now has diarrhea. And the other dog has been vomiting since she came back. Food was not given at our direction nor were blankets that we brought provided for our animals. was initially impressed with some of the training but now turned off because of such a horrible boarding experience.

The reviews weren't lying when people posted about their dogs coming home dirty, smelling like piss, contracting diseases and parasites. We are leaving the vets office right now because my dog picked up giardia and hookworm while boarding. When I picked my dog up she stunk like pee and had dried poop in her tail and on her feet. No one bothered to tell me she had diarrhea. She ended up sh*tting in my car on the way home and again in the house over night which is very abnormal for her. On top of this, picking her up was a disaster in itself. I don't recognize a single employee there anymore. All these new people seem to be very confused and unorganized. It was like something out of the twilight zone. After 4 years of coming here we'll be looking for a new place to leave our dog that will actually take care of her.

Great place for the pups, top notch care and good activity spaces for interaction throughout the day. My dogs come back exhausted but very happy after every stay. Definitely Recommend.

I initially offered a high review for this boot camp experience, but should have waited a few days and evaluated the impact and success with the reality of returning home. If you want a dog that knows commands, this program will work, but is expensive for what you get. If you are looking to solve underlying behavioral issues, go elsewhere. I even called twice to get advice on how we could improve things and offered to pay for more training...I never even got a call back. This is unacceptable after making over a $2,000 investment. In addition, there is also immense pressure to tip. We have since gone with a different training program (Red Star) and had an entirely different experience. I have a different dog after the Red Star and the skills as an owner to be successful.

As a stranger I called the main office; Thomas the owner met with me one on one with an emergency situation. (human aggressive dog) Thomas took as much time as was needed to teach the dog AND ME basic steps to bring the energy level down. 2 hrs later his patience has made a huge difference. The dog isn't "fixed" but hope and understanding is back. ... folks... Thomas did this for free, with nothing in return... the time he took, the chance of getting hurt,... the constant explaining of why and what to do for me to understand; all out of the kindness of his own heart because he believes in humans taking responsibility and having control, there is no "dog to blame"... it's---- "what haven't we taught them and let's make it happen." don't take ur dog anywhere else in the state of Minnesota. You can't find the trainer, the patience, the price and the unconditional love Blaine Kennels has waiting for your dog.

We have boarded our dogs here a few times and have good experiences. You have to pay for extra play time and walks but overall they have been fine for short stays. Recently we dropped our two dogs off at about 3 pm on a Friday and picked them up at about 10:05 am the next day. So the dogs were there for not even 24 hours. We got charged 134.00. I get you have to have timelines or people will be coming and going all day long but I just got charge 64.00 dollars for 5 minutes. We will never drop our dogs here again. Update on this, they did refund us one days rate since we were minutes after the cutoff. We appreciate this and look forward to doing business there in the future!

Kept our two dogs here over the weekend. They didn’t seem to get any playtime over the two nights they were there and came back full of energy. Normally at other boarding facilities we’ve taken them too daytime play is included in the boarding fee or clearly states it is extra. We were led to believe the playtime is included in the boarding fee but it doesn’t appear so, had we known that we would have signed up for it to give them an enjoyable time opposed to staying in a kennel the whole time. They also came back extremely thirsty which made me wonder if they were given consistent water, I think they both drank two bowls of water when we got home. We were also given the option to schedule an 11am pickup time on Sunday but when we showed up they seemed upset since they didn’t open until noon...why even allow for an 11am pick up time then? Staff seemed friendly on drop off but this place doesn’t seem to meet the needs we’re looking for in taking care of our two dogs. We are going to look for another place going forward and won’t be repeat customers.
