Jess, Cheryl, and Stacy were absolutely amazing last night when we brought our French bulldog in for an emergency C-section! The over night surgeon was amazing as well. We even got a good morning text message from our dog and her puppies! …

Unprofessional. Call and to even ask questions they are rude and tell you "figure it out". Will NEVER use these people for any kind of business. If you have an emergency DO NOT call them they will laugh and tell you they don't know what to tell you and "to do more research." My research will include to NEVER uae these people and let others know also. Just sick. If you cant take your job seriously you shouldn't be in it

I genuinely wish I could give 10 stars! We were completely blown away by the amazing level of care we received while our sweet boy was at Blue Pearl Arden Hills. The staff kindly met us outside and wheeled him in on a stretcher, we was hit by a truck, and from that very moment we got updates CONSTANTLY. Not just phone calls but we got to FaceTime and received many photos and videos. HUGE thank you to staff Jessica Johnston and Heather Porath for being so incredible and going above and beyond in keeping us posted on our sweet boy and loving him up while we couldn’t. Even after he came home the surgeon and staff have called to see how he’s healing. I was scared to bring him here because of reviews BUT after our amazing experience I could t recommend this place more which is why I chose to come share a review!

The staff at the Arden Hills location was so good to us as we came in with an emergency. We didn’t know when we brought him in but our dog was in full kidney failure. They did a wonderful job explaining what they were going to do and what to expect. I sent a text that evening to see how our dog was doing. It took about 1.5hrs for them to get back to us with a phone call which we knew that meant things weren’t good. Our poor pup had hours to live if not on fluids. Our doctor did a good job of making things very clear and not beating around the bush about what was going to happen. They helped us get through all the paperwork and plan post euthanasia first. The staff brought us in to a private room so we could say our good byes and help our dog get comfortable. They gave us space and as much time as we needed before they came into to give him his injection. They gave us more time to process what had happened and then they wrapped him in a blanket to take him in the back. I can’t thank the staff enough for how kind and gentle they were in our worst time.

I was very touched by the card they sent after our cat passed away and how well they took care of us while we were there. I truly appreciate the memorabilia they sent us home with. A sad experience, met by wonderful staff.

My 16 year old ragdoll cat, Xavior, was brought for an emergency on Saturday at 11 pm to 3 am. Very clean clinic and friendly front staff and it was nice that they took him in right away, but they did not give him anything for pain. He was basically taken from us and left alone while they waited for the vet and vet tech to take a look at him and take blood for labs for a period of 4 hours. He had kidney disease and declined quickly in one day, he couldn't stand properly, move or eat. After waiting 2.5 hours the Vet called stating exam showed he was blind (retinal detachment) probably due to high blood pressure from Kidney disease. I had them do a kidney lab and blood pressure check that took another 1 to 1.5 hours. His kidney levels had gotten worse and his blood pressure was way over normal at 230. The doctor would not reccomend euthanasia, when you could clearly see Xavior was at his last leg. Vet recommended he stay inpatient until a specialist can see him until Monday and it would cost 3k to 5k or more. We opted to do outpatient care and they didn't even give my cat the blood pressure med there initially and told us to give it to him when we get home. He didn't get any treatment at all to help with pain or his high blood pressure while there, which I believe a hospital should do. My cat didn't get any better after the blood pressure medicine. He suffered all night until a vet could come to access him for euthanasia. The Vet from Blue skies could clearly see like we did that Xavior should have been put to sleep or given pain meds at least. He was put to sleep that morning. I am attaching photos to show the condition of my cat that he was clearly in pain and in the worst condition and a photo of him from a few days ago in great condition. I believe if the vet had received any hospice training that Xavior wouldn't have had to suffer longer than he needed too. Blue Pearl needs to have their vets trained in hospice so they don't under or over reccomend euthanasia. If anyone has a pet who is near death and you need to go to the hospital to access their situation before being able to let them go, do not go to Blue Pearl, they won't ever reccomend it and would rather take as much money as they can to try and poke and prod your pet to live for a few more days. They maybe fine for healthier pets with emergency situations, but know you'll have to wait several hours even if there's not many in front of you. Xavior had been through other episodes and he fought through, but you could see this was the last episode that he could not get through. ????

Took my frenchie in yesterday to get 20 teeth removed. Was worried because I read the reviews of this facility the night before and it was very hit or miss. Let me just say, the entire staff was so helpful and kind and respectful towards both y dog and I. They were wonderful with communication and SO helpful for the whole process. I CANT RECOMMEND THEM ENOUGH! Thank you so much!!

If your dog gets bloat, God forbid you go here. Let me tell you how much they quoted me, $7,500 to $10,000! Most vets don’t charge this much for this type of surgery. Please go somewhere else if you have enough time! They are money hungry and will do the X-rays and take their sweet time meanwhile your dog is dying minute but minute, only to tell you after the fact that it will run up to $10,000. They could have told us before they took X-rays how much this operation roughly runs, but they didn’t. Obviously this was because they knew this was a serious emergency and my pet could die very quickly, in hopes I had enough money in my bank account to cover the cost. I didn’t. I had to euthanize her. This is a bad clinic, I had to learn the hardest way. I will never go back here again.

I have never had worse service in my life.,$1200 bill (didn’t treat a thing) and 8.5 hours of waiting. Careless service. I can’t even believe how terrible it was. There was a complete lack of consistent communication. My review is mainly about the communication done regarding the entire process. Every person we talked to told us something different, they were cold and uncaring. Constantly contradicting each other on the phone. Arrived 8:41am we called ahead and we’re told 2 hour wait to actually talk to a vet, but they could get pup in way before that. We proceeded to the location. Great. Got called an hour and a half later to triage/take the dog in and they said the hour we already waited didn’t count towards the two hours so now it would be two hours more. Okay, fine. Different than what we were told by the first woman but that’s Understandable especially since they have to task higher risk pups first. Once our pup was taken in we were told we could NOT leave the parking lot under any circumstances. After 4 hours of sitting in our car we finally called to ask why we had to wait in the lot and they said “just in case we can’t reach you over the phone”…..we were basically told we couldn’t leave for no reason. It gets so much worse from here…buckle up. Got a call at 1:30, despite the dog constantly throwing up and signs of an infection, they told us it was “allergies” and he needed an X-ray. Okay. Will be $800-900 to X-ray and blood work because they aren’t sure. At 4pm they call to say he will be able to check out soon but have absolutely no progress or answers. We say ok. They say it will be ANOTHER 45 minutes to check him out. So we head to a coffee shop to try to kill time because weve been waiting SEVEN hours at this point. 4:30 they call me and - get this- had the audacity to grill me about how I left the parking lot and would be 5 minutes away from picking up up. THEY THEN CALLED ME A 2nd TIME TO GIVE ME GRIEF ABOUT THIS with the SAME 5 minutes. I had to wait 8 hours with NO eta’s given and you’re mad I was 5 minutes away? This is COMICAL. 4:45 pm: almost 8 hours later we are finally able to check out. No resolution. They didn’t care to investigate a cause nor could they answer any of my questions properly. Avoid this place at all costs. All they care about is $$$ not your pet. *also I heard the front desk person talking about the fact that she thought she had Covid.

It is currently 10 p.m. and we brought our dog to get cared for! Told us its gonna be a few hours before we can talk to the Vet and want us to keep our 9 year old out till 1 a.m. waiting in the parking lot! Soooooo.....

Faster service than I would have expected, given how busy it was. The staff was friendly and professional. Took good care of our dog and us. Very good communication. Not cheap, but not unusual cost for an emergency vet appointment on the weekend. They tell you everything up front, including prices, so you can make your own decisions about care. Would definitely use again.

The reward better outweigh the risk of coming here... Better hope you have a strong pet. Because the living conditions alone are enough to kill any vulnerable animal. Hope you like your pet in a kennel in its own waste. But don't worry they'll wet him/her down spread it around and throw the animal back in there cold and wet. Very disappointed in my pets care and living conditions. However this did not reflect on our professional Vet we dealt with, he did a very good job himself included.

THIS PET HOSPITAL WILL TURN YOU AWAY IF YOUR PET IS DYING. Please, take your pet literally anywhere else. These people care 0% about you or your pet. I had an emergency for my dog, and was immediately turned away at the door. And then they told me they didn't have any doctors working...AT AN EMERGENCY PET HOSPITAL. These people are actual trash and should not be trusted with the wellbeing of anything. Let alone any living thing. I hope this helps somebody, unlike they did for me and my dog.

My cat formed a full urinary blockage in the middle of the night. There wasn’t time to wait for my regular vet to open so I came to this clinic. From the moment I stepped in, both my cat and myself received top care. Yes, it’s expensive but I do appreciate that I was given a few options/estimates upfront depending on what I was comfortable with. And in the end, I was actually charged less than what I was quoted. The staff is caring, incredibly capable, and ultimately saved his life. I could call at any time to get an update on my cat and they made sure to call me, as well. I am so grateful to everyone at this clinic. I will not hesitate to bring my pets here in the future.

With all Vetrinary businesses unable to take emergencies, Blue Pearl in Arden Hills was. GOD SEND!!! We are forever thankful for the professionalism, urgency, expertise. love, and care they showed to us and our golden family. We were on vacation from Nebraska camping in our 5th wheel near St Cloud, MN when our 5 1/2 year old pup/Chili became ill. Within hours her 9 year old grandpa had similar symptoms. We called a list of veterinarians and pet hospitals with zero openings even on an emergency basis. We then called Blue Pearl in Arden Hills which was over an hour away and they were ready for us as soon as we arrived. We are heart broken to say our lil Chili did not survive the trip and passed shortly before we arrived. Patti P. came running to meet us outside to make sure they could do all they could. Pam and two other wonderful coworkers were with her. Their sincerity through it all was a blessing. You could tell they truly cared about our furry family & us versus profit. They went above and beyond in all they did for us with the loss of Chili and checking out our two other golden retrievers. (Closest we can guess is they got into the trash a camper had left in a fire ring on letting them out late at night for a quick potty break. Otherwise our pups were on leashes by our side.). Blue Pearl. Patti P and her coworkers were like hospice is for humans. “Angels”. May the Lord God bless them and our sweet lil Chili.????????????????????????????

They put lots of pressure on us to sign forms authorizing emergency care for our pet. They made it sound like we had to act now to sign the forms. It felt like they were leveraging the life of our pet in a high stress situation to extract money from us.

I am SO torn about this place. On the one hand, the veterinarians and the staff are very knowledgeable and clearly super skilled. I've never had a more thorough explanation of what was going on with any of my animals. They're not pushy. They tell you the prices up front. They are really some of the best vets I've ever worked with. HOWEVER, they are the SLOWEST vet's office I've ever been to. I get it - they're an emergency vet and sometimes more pressing cases must take priority. Here is the issue: I had a scheduled appointment with their referral center, and they kept me waiting for 3.5 hours. They took the cat inside and took forever getting to me. If they'd simply said, "We can't get to your cat on time; why don't you leave and come back?," my review would be a lot more glowing. My lesson has been learned! If we take our cat back here, I will not plan to wait around and they can work around my schedule.

I was nervous after reading some reviews, but I had a great experience for this being my first puppy to take to the emergency vet. I feel that I went in with fair expectations and knew it would take some time. I was quoted correct wait times and the vet gave a great explanation after she had examined my puppy. I was very stressed and a bit emotional, and the staff was very sweet and patient with me, which I really appreciated!

I was hesitant to come here based on some of the reviews, but due to the condition of our fur baby it was the only option. I was pleasantly surprised by this hospital. We brought our Luna girl in and they saw her right away. Dr. Yamaguchi was so helpful- he provided us with education, gave us a few options, and was so kind while delivering us the most heartbreaking diagnosis. The ladies at the front were so kind and empathetic as well. I am so grateful that we were able to get answers for our baby and help her to cross the rainbow bridge so she is no longer in pain.

I was very pleased with the care my best friend Bandit (German Shepherd) received here and the prompt response/attention my dog was given due to the anaphylactic nature and onset of his acute allergy inflammation. As a medical professional myself (but on humans) I know quality care when I see it and they were all a joy to work with in communication and being upfront about billing costs etc. This is an extremely important part of care that many places do not get right, my experience here was as pleasant as an emergency room visit could be. They were extremely reasonable in their billing, which I couldn’t be more thankful for since the timing of having to pay an unexpected emergency bill amidst a pandemic related job loss and many other bills was horribly timed for my life circumstances. It seemed as though they were able to provide him the best possible outcome through a quality care and monitoring plan, while also accommodating the fact that I’m struggling in life right now and not trying to take advantage of my love for my pet. I couldn’t possibly thank them enough for that because they have no idea how much that helps me out right now and I figured the least I could do is write them a review as a token of my appreciation for being kind to my pet and myself. Thank you guys sincerely!

Wishing I would have read reviews before driving down. We have never been to a blue pearl emergency 24/7 vet. We called ahead before heading over to get pricing for a visit. $187+ any medications or further testing. The initial gal on the phone was very friendly, we told her our dog was in visible pain and we were wanting to come in. After a half hour drive - We arrived, I called to be seen and was told they would not see us. The issue for our dog wasn’t life threatening and they wouldn’t make time for us. She said they were “at capacity”… (there was only one other car waiting in the huge lot other than myself...) This gal who answered the phone was cold, rude and literally made me feel that I was stupid for driving there and assuming I would seen by a vet for medication for my dog. Wouldn’t you think if someone is calling your clinic at 11PM for some pricing questions the employee would say, “Hey! But by the way - you need an appointment or we have to write your name down before you drive all the way here!” NOPE. Was NEVER stated to us beforehand. Literally wasted over an hour of my life trying to help our visibly suffering elderly dog to be told we didn’t matter enough. I’m am so disgusted by the lack of empathy. The type of visit we needed was for an antibiotic. Literally would have only taken 15-20 minutes of their time. When I told them I could wait to be seen, it was then suddenly brought to my attention I would be sitting there for 5-6 hours waiting for an opening. And I couldn’t help but feel I was being lied to so I could be turned away or maybe they couldn’t make enough money off of our dog? So sad and disappointing. I’m hoping this was a fluke night for them and maybe I got a bad staff member, but I’m guessing not based on other bad reviews I’ve now seen.

Absolutely terrible service. Overcharged by 3x for every service provided. We had to wait 6 hours for them to give us a $20 of medicine. $780 for them to tell us the cat should be better in 2 days

We brought our dog here after some major stomach problems and everyone was really nice and helpful. We got calls with updates at shift changes and even got a picture saying he was doing ok and resting. We really appreciated that picture when he was away from home and sick. The only issue is that they’re really expensive, but that’s why it’s an emergency last resort option.

I brought my cat here today for lameness and lethargy. This was my first ever emergency vet visit. This particular place was recommended by my vet, which is why I went, but I wish I had read the reviews first. They were overall nice to work with, but I did end up being there for over 5 hours for my cat that just needed an X-ray and exam and medication. But that’s besides the point. Their prices are outrageous! We looked up all the medications they provided online and they had me pay 2 times if not 3 times the prices they were from Chewy! A $20 medication I paid $60 for. Also a leg X-ray was $400 when every where else it turns out are $150-$250. Their exam price was also double what it is at other places. I wish I would’ve realized this before going here as I would have absolutely gone elsewhere.

I have nothing but great things to say about the dental specialty department! Dr.Edstrom and Lacey were absolutely amazing working with my dog, Molly! I couldn’t have asked for better people to help with her major surgery. My dog unfortunately was diagnosed with a very rare tumor on her jaw and had to have a large portion of her jaw removed. They were compassionate and explained every detail to me of what was going on (they also kept me up to date DURING the surgery). After her surgery they made sure to check up on her each day to make sure she was eating and doing okay. I sincerely appreciate the care they gave my dog. This surgery was worth EVERY penny. We are still waiting on pathology results, but because of them Molly should get to live a long healthy life! Thank you SO much! This is my dog Molly 2 days after her surgery ????
