Have been bringing my furbabies to Best Fur Breeds since the mid nineties. Of course through the years there have been different groomers, but for more than ten years Diana has been "our girl". Making an appointment is easy, the location is convenient and the cost is reasonable. Sherry is a wonderful owner, the groomers and staff are stellar. They are caring, compassionate, kind and professional.. I highly recommend Best Fur Breeds and would not take my Lily anywhere else. She had a spa day yesterday and is absolutely stunning. They did a great job shampooing my dog!! But I think they’re only used to dealing with little dogs. I told her only to trim the outgrowth on her feet, but she gave her an overall haircut, I was shocked. She chopped off the hair on her ears, shaved her belly (strange) hacked up the beautiful feathering on her legs and trimmed random areas all over her coat and tail. A groomer should have a ‘breed specific’ book that outlines what a purebred dog is supposed to look like and not make up their own rules, chopping away. My dog isn’t the type that requires a haircut, just the feet and sometimes the inside of her ears. That’s her breed specific look, as per AKC. I once had a ‘Flat Coat Retriever’ and now it will take over 6-12 months for her hair to grow out. I could be angry, but my dog doesn’t seem to be bothered that she looks different. She looks ridiculous, and her breeder in CA would probably laugh! I’ll just look for a new groomer who’s properly educated and move on. It takes two seconds to look at a grooming book, take your money elsewhere.

I brought my 11 month, 150+lb great dane puppy in for a bath and nail trim right before the covid 19 shutdown and was beyond pleased with this place. I was having problems with bathing and clipping his nails for months and explained that to them so they were aware. Within an hour he was ready for pick-up. He looked amazing smelled great nails were all done and she said he was great for her. I can not wait for this place to open back up. We will DEFINITELY be repeat customers.

I brought in my 10# yorkie to get groomed & was told initially the cost would be $45. They charged me $55 bc my senior dog was considered "difficult". No other groomer has had a hard time grooming my dog - especially new groomers! I specifically told them to NOT shave his body ...to only cut his hair shorter than what it was but they shaved his body. Also, they were not Capable to do my dogs face & left it the way it was; Long! They left his private areas long as well & were not able to trim his nails. I do NOT recommend this place especially if you have an older dog! I spoke with a lady manager who was very unprofessional & hung up the phone on me TWICE because i requested a reduced rate...she simply did not care! I ended up having to take my dog elsewhere & pay more money to get his face, private areas & nails trimmed. So disappointing!!

They work well with my older, arthritic dog and is very gentle while trimming his nails. I appreciate their fine work and patience with "Bandit". Use them with a clear conscience.

My GoldenChow Max likes to lay down when he gets groomed..Candi is very patient with him and knows ahead of time he can be kinda a pain!! He always looks amazing and smells delish!! A million thanks ????

Before appt I made sure they knew how to groom & cut an Australian Silky Terrier. They were emphatic that they know, well they do not. I took my beautiful Silky into tat place, with specific instructions and a drawing of how I wanted him to look. When I picked him up all I could see was from overhead. At home was diff story; all his long hair was cut right up to his tummy & straight across, hair on his head was so uneven, it was a asymmetrical cut and his bangs were gone. What were they thinking & doing? I’ve been crying about it since. Took us 2yrs for last bad haircut to grow out. Well have to wait 2 more years.

Best Fur Breeds is AMAZING my dogs are not nervous when they go there like some other places.Candi Always goes above and beyond for my dogs and cats . Sherry makes you feel at home in the grooming salon. I would not take my dogs anywhere else!

Love the quick and excellent service for nail trims.

This place is great. Very reliable, reasonable priced. My dog is grumpy and will bite but they will still take him and do a good job with him. He loves Angela, she knows how to handle him. If Angela can’t do it someone else is still willing to take him, knowing that he is so grumpy. They had to raise his price because he is getting older and is more difficult but only by $5 which is totally reasonable.

Very thankful for the drive thru nail clipping they are offering right now! We moved into the area a few weeks before the pandemic started and hadnt been able to find a place to get the dog's nails clipped since it wasnt an "essential" thing. Both dogs were in and out within 5 mins which was amazing to me because they are very difficult to handle during nail clippings. Thank you!

BEST PET GROOMING IN METRO DETROIT!! Yes, I have a 35 lb french bulldog and I could probably groom him myself. BUT I wouldn't do 10% of the work that Angela or Jackie complete when my little guy goes for his full groom. Wallie's grooms lasts longer over ANY other professional service I have sought out in the past. I was never really loyal to any place prior to, but after my first visit - he won't go anywhere else. My vet also noted the difference she saw in Wallie's ear canal. Frenchie's can be prone to ear infections with their ear's being so open and large. I pay a few dollars extra for their medicated ear wash treatment and he hasn't gotten an infection or shown build up issues in a very long time! Thanks for taking such good care of our best friend. You have a customer for life!

So happy with Jackie’s work with our 18yr old dog. He got sprayed by a skunk and she took him in the next day, trimmed his nails and gave him a skunk bath. We’ve been going to the same groomer forever so I was nervous to change him at such an old age but he did great and I was amazed she got the smell out in one bath. Great customer service and took care of our old man ❤️ This will be our new place!
