Our dog was sick and was not able to get her to our regular vet being that it was a Saturday. They were very accommodating. Explained everything thoroughly. I was very happy with our experience. Best of all it was so convenient. I will definitely be bringing our pet back for future care. They even called the next day to see how she was doing. Thank you!

Was late 20 mins still had no issues, they were polite and informative, hod to drop off my cat Simon there for 45 minutes, had a checkup done and got him vaccinated

We have been using Banfield for over ten years and have always been very happy with their service. The Utica location especially is always professional and very courteous. Our pets are treated with the same amount of respect and care as any human medical office. I couldn’t imagine trusting my pet’s health to anybody else.

Never sign up for the wellness plan because even after you have to have your dog put to sleep and are grieving, they will proceed to tell you that you still have to pay for it every month. Even though you just signed up for a month ago when you came in to have your dog looked at when he actually had cancer. Compassionate, huh?

We have used this pet hospital for 6 years for our dog at the referral of a close friend. They do offer different levels of care to meet the needs of everyone. We found the fees to be reasonable for what we needed and they always respected our choices for care. The doctors are professional and friendly. Recently, staff member Cortez had to handle the most difficult conversation with us regarding the procedure to put down our very old and ill dog who was a family member in our eyes. He got us in right away, was professional, gave us clear information, and was very caring while communicating the procedure and options to us. During the procedure the Doctor and staff were incredibly caring and professional and made a terrible day a little more tolerable. If we get another pet, we will be using Banfield.

I typically don't write reviews but I am disappointed in the time it take to have my sick dog looked at. I pay for the Wellness plan and called to have my dog looked at because she clearly is not feeling well. The earliest they could get me in was in 5 days. What good does my per insurance do me if I have to wait 5 days to have my dog looked at. I was told to call around to other Banfield Pet Hospitals or take her to ER. Thanks for the help.

The staff is absolutely lovely. Kind people, wonderful, helpful. However, I booked for travel papers for my dog and got a call day of my dog's vet appointment after I'd already dropped him off, from the Vet, saying she was going out of town and couldn't do it. I had to postpone my trip for a week which ended up costing me several hundred dollars because of this. The office staff was so helpful and called around trying to find another Banfield to take me last minute, but no one would. This was so frustrating and ended up costing me money I didn't have. Front office staff and vet techs are amazing, and the vet that ended up helping me the week following was also wonderful, called to chat and make sure everything was in order, etc. So while I'd overall reccomend it, the frustration, having to pay additional costs and delay my flight means that I can't in good conscience give this as good of a review as I would have liked. All in all, I still have a good opinion of Banfield.

Thank goodness for the wellness plan!!! On my mini Aussies comprehensive visit, it was discovered she had crystals in her urine UTI. No symptoms that we could tell. Found it early, treated her, and now she’s fine. This is one grateful fur mama!!!!

I take my Boxer here. I like the wellness plan, it really makes it more affordable to keep your pet up to date on shots and such. The care is great I really.like my Dr.

Nice job on ear infection maintenance! had a vet clinic just prescribe antibiotics and could not tell me how or why and then to top it off asked me if I thought my dog was in pain!!! Your're the vet you tell me!!! did you say he just tried to bite you. Is he in pain, Hell Yes! but anyway. Thank you for maintenance . However, I also informed you that he hadn't been eating, and other issues. Nothing was ever mentioned about that. So I give 2 stars. 0 for thorough exam, 2 for ear issues.

We love the doctor, very nice and precise But the front desk people are the worst. Totally unprepared, they don’t take records of what is happening, you have to explain every time, if something goes wrong they blame they previous person who talked to you, they act like children, unprofessional! They called me to pass on some of the Vets recommendations and when I ask question they never know what to say, never call back for a feedback Totally incapable for the job

STAY CLEAR! Unless this is the last vet open in a 10 to 20 mile radius you will be paying a fortunate out of pocket. For our cat to get blood work, and an enzyme/electrolyte test, along with JUST 1 tablet to help increase appetite and a weeks worth of antibiotics and a quick follow up visit 2 weeks later it was $630! The vet and employees were great though, but keep your options open and look for another vet. We switched to another vet that goes ABOVE and BEYOND in the area for 1/3rd of the cost of Banfield. I think maybe Banfield is charging so much to try and pick up the slack of declining sales at PetSmart.

Complete rip-off! They nickel and dime you for everything they do and one simple vet visit ends up costing more than $500 and they try to persuade you to sign up for an annual wellness plan that will give you a discount on your bill. I wish I would of went somewhere else, only went here because our pet was feeling very sick and it was urgent.
