EDIT: If I didn't already give them 5 stars I certainly would have after this. We received a very sweet and sentimental sympathy card in the mail expressing their deepest condolences on the loss of our pet. Wow, thank you for going the extra mile with this incredibly thoughtful card! I called their office today after calling 7 other vet hospitals. We needed our pet mouse to be euthanized and no one would/could take her. She was well over 2 years (exceeding her life expectancy) and had severe neurological issues. Even though they were completely booked, they told us to come and call when we got there. The staff and tech were so wonderfully compassionate, patient, and friendly. I only wish I could remember their names. They made the paperwork super quick to complete, took our mouse in for sedation and back out to us for final goodbyes, giving us all the time we needed. After the procedure they wrapped her beautifully in a cloth with her name and flowers on it. It meant so much to my daughter, who was her primary caregiver. The level of care and professionalism and heart-felt compassion was impressive and made this emotional experience a bit easier to bear (my daughter especially). 100% recommended!!!

Prices are outrageous. Brought in a rabbit spaying over $700 dental service over $800 what????? I don’t think so never again

the BEST veterinary hospital! i have two bunnies and am probably a really annoying client to work with (i have a lot of anxiety relating to the health of my babies), but everybody here (the doctors, the technicians, everyone) is always SO patient and helpful with talking to me about my concerns. furthermore, everyone here seems thoroughly knowledgable about animal health. i recommend this place wholeheartedly!

Especially in terms of reptiles, Ark veterinary hospital is the best in my opinion. Ive used parkway animal hospital and had the worst experience with my ball python and scale rot. Ended up going to Ask instead and they were able to do everything parkway wasnt. I have also taken my crested gecko here(cat attack) and again just great care for my reptile. Medications are fairly priced, as well as office visit. Covid precautions-you call and check in from your vehicle, then a tech will come retrieve your pet. They ARE accepting new patients, which is crucial information during these times. Most vets right now will not see new patients. Thank you Ark!

The best vet for all animal types. Well worth the short drive from Oakland twp/lake orion. Dr Dixon has vast experience with exotics and took great care of my red eyed tree frogs! She also does great with dogs and cats. My Viszla loves getting her cheesy treat (which is actually a distraction to vaccinate her without her noticing!) Seriously, zero fuss or reaction to shots with her method. They even took the time to instruct me on strategy to safely and effectively cut my dog's nails because I was scared I was going to cut her by accident! If only she would treat humans!

I absolutely love this place. I've had only positive experiences bringing both my rats and mice here. Like most vets right now, I'm sure they're very busy, yet they always find a way to make time for my babies when needed. They truly care and have even called just to check how the little ones are after an appointment. If you're looking for a vet, you will not find one better than this!

we took our rat and our very sick cat to them, everyone there was so nice and seemed to genuinely care for our babies. and the price wasn't bad at all compared to alot of places now

Our kitty went in for a full grooming. Staff did an excellent job with him and he was ready EARLIER than we expected!

Took my leopard gecko Bart here when he hadn’t eaten for a week. They gave me some medicine for a mouth infection and he’s back to eating completely normally. Excellent staff, gave me recommendations on how to improve his husbandry. Would recommend to anyone I know that has a reptile. Thank you guys so much for your help.

Perfect they hooked up my friends with a Emergency Visit with their Monkeys and very professional!

When my son’s bearded dragon passed away, this office went above and beyond. We had never been there before, they took in our sweet pet, monitored him over night, but there was no hope. They didn’t even charge us for a thing. All of the staff was so kind. I wouldn’t hesitate to bring my pets here in the future!!!

Went I got my bearded dragon I needed a vet and I was recommended ark vet and I have never been so happy with them the staff are so nice they answer all my questions and are so polite and the doctor is so sweet she called me late at night just to tell me about blood which could have waiting until the next day but she took her and called me I would recommend them to everyone.

Staff was professional and the DVM was incredibly thorough. They helped me through a tough situation with my foster dog and everyone was more than happy to answer all of my questions no matter how stupid I felt asking them.

I’m really happy to have found Ark! It’s not always easy to find good care when you have an exotic pet. Both Dr. Dixon and Dr. Lee have been extremely helpful in caring for my chinchilla. They answer any questions clearly and make sure to explain everything so I can feel confident in decisions I make regarding my pets care. The office is wonderful at communicating and always well organized. They reply in a very timely manner despite the busy schedule and make you feel they truly care for your pet. The technicians are very knowledgeable and professional. I highly recommend this office.

Brought my indoor mini pig in for skin concerns...they said nothing was wrong..just dry skin and they gave us fish oil pills.... skin got worse and went to another vet. They did a skin scrap test...and found out the issues... Paid ark vets too much money to do nothing. Maybe their good with other animals but it's definitely not the place for pigs...

The staff had offered to take in my sick rabbit while they were full to capacity when no one else would. They were caring & incredibly professional and they had kept me constantly updated on the condition of my bunny. I will be eternally grateful for the care that my rabbit received from this clinic. Thank you so much for taking him in when no one else would. RIP Bun Buku. I loved you so much.

Been taking my pets here for years, both Drs. Dixon and Lee are amazing. Smart, capable, friendly....the techs and reception staff are also amazing! I've been to other vets in the past and the level of care here cannot be matched.

Friendly, prompt staff! I took my leopard gecko here for my concern of her elongated lack of appetite. Doctor treated her with some medicine and gave me so much great information a new leopard gecko owner, such as myself, could use. She really had compassion for my little baby!

This place is wonderful and very caring. I see that they are a little cheaper than other exotic vet clinics. Dr. Dixon is also a wonderful doctor and knows what she's talking about. extremely helpful and to the point.

Best clinic and staff. All started when I was desperate for a vet for my frog as my other one almost killed him. Ark gave me answers and he is doing amazing. I now take all my critters there

Went here to get my rat neutered. Got him in within a couple weeks and surgery went very well. He's happy and recovering well. Dr. Dixon and her staff are amazing!

They are always attentive and worked their best to get you in even during covid pandemic. They made the euthanasia of my bunny as peaceful and compassionate as possible and sent a hand written condolence card in the mail after. They will have a special place in my heart.

Always a pleasure, I will not be taking my reptiles anywhere else. I appreciate their focus on educating owners on proper care rather than just fixing the problems that could come from improper care. Even in situations that were not ideal, they did what’s best for my animals and I’m very grateful for that.

The staff was great the Dr. Was great and told me what I need to know..

I took my rat here to get neutered about a month ago, the original process went well, although there was complications during the healing process (no fault of theirs) to which they helped me work through it with little additional cost. At the end of a full month he was fully healed from the surgery and repair. They were very considerate during the process and were very kind in reaching out periodically to ensure his healing was going well.

I took my lizard here. They took good care of her and helped me understand what to do to give her more care at home.

Just got home from our 1st visit. After seven years of searching, we've finally found a vet that is sincerely compassionate and understanding! Excellent, efficient service at a great price and most importantly, respectful and appreciative!

Super awesome staff, very friendly, made us feel like we were part of the family when they cared for our pet. Prices are great as well
