Dr Kathryn Christy may have saved my Dobermans life. I brought in my female European Dobermann for a routine visit and Dr. Christy spotted a small bump on my dogs ankle which I had not noticed. She recommended we extract the fluid inside to have it tested to see what’s what. Turns out she had a rare and very serious infectious bacteria, considering it’s close proximity to the bone it needed to be treated aggressively and promptly. Dr Christy conferred with specialists in infectious disease at another clinic to be certain of the proper course of treatment, a major compliment to her to not allow ego into the equation. They came to the conclusion that this bacteria can only treated by one type of extremely potent and not common antibiotic. Thankfully, due to Dr Christys attention to detail and immediate action, my dog recovered as if nothing ever happened.

Love my vet, she's been a family vet my entire life! Now owning my own animals I always feel like they take very good care of my animals. Highly recommend!

Poor experience with this vet, they wanted to slice and dice my cat open when she ended up having an infection. Would never trust this place with my animals.

I think the company needs to work on customer service. I will share my experience, so hopefully service is improved. Last year in November I stopped by to take Dog for his next appointment. I did not read your note at the entrance saying that I needed to call before entering, and one of the team members asked me if I did not read the note, in a very rude way. One day, when my dog needed the flea pill I went to the veterinary and I was outside, I called, and I was told that I needed to came back the next day to sell me the pill - really, you could not just sell me the pill? Then, we wanted to buy six pills, my daughter call and now the new argument was that you guys cannot sell the pill, that they needed to see Docky first (to give me a big bill). He is been treated in another veterinary, but still I was considering to bring business to the location. I realized that nothing was random, it is just the way this veterinary conducts business.

Our cat precious and our little family love Dr. Socks and the entire Oakland Hills team! Precious has always struggled with vet visits, but since coming here she has done much better because they do the best they can to keep her comfortable. Dr. Socks always listens to our with our concerns and comfort levels. Precious always enjoys the little treat they give her too. Thanks Oakland Hills!

Such a great experience here, especially felt safe coming in here during covid. Dr Socks was very nice, helpful, thorough, and kind, and the price for the service was great. she took a lot of time to help develop a diet plan for our overweight dog. Magda, our tech was also very nice and helpful as well. Definitely will be coming back and totally recommend. Great vet care that doesn't cost and arm and a leg.

I feel really good about bringing my animals to Oakland Hills. Doctor Socks was very thorough with my cat's exam and took my concerns seriously. The whole staff was also wonderful with my newly adopted dog, and made the whole experience very positive for her. The hospital itself is clean and welcoming, and they always have great information up on the screens in the exam rooms. I'm very happy that I've chosen them as my pet's regular veterinarian.

If you’re looking for a place to bring your furry friends in which they will be treated with the love and care they deserve, as if you were treating them yourselves with all the expertise needed, look no further! The compassion three of these young women showed to a poor deer hit by a car, and then discarded with absolutely no professionalism or care by the Oakland County Sheriff’s Department, speaks volumes as to where their priorities and hearts lie. Around 1:30 a.m. this past Saturday, after taking close to 30 minutes to arrive in the first place, one of these officers fired two shots to supposedly help end this mortally wounded creature’s suffering, before dragging it by one leg to the side of the road. He apparently missed with both shots and traumatized the deer instead, and then left it to suffer for another six hours, unbeknownst to anyone who could find actual help. Finally, a little after 8 a.m., Kelly, Cheyenne, and Jes from Oakland Hills Veterinary Hospital showed up after noticing the deer still alive, to be the compassionate human beings our local law enforcement couldn’t handle. They loaded the poor thing up in the back seat of their personal car in a blanket, giving this unfortunate deer a little dignity and love in its final moments before having to be humanely euthanized. If these three young women treat a wild animal on the side of the street in dire circumstances with such loving care, I think all can be 100% confident that their pets will be given the absolute best treatment any could possibly receive. I highly recommend checking this veterinary hospital out if in need, and kudos to you all for such an exceptional staff! Keep up the fantastic work, the world needs more humans like you!!!!

Hands down the most caring and and supportive Veterinary office I can recommend. They take amazing care of two of our family cats and have always been more than helpful during emergencies and normal check ups. They truly care about the animals that they see and will go out of the way to help! Thank you Dr. Socks and all the staff!

We love Dr. Christy, Dr. Socks, and all the of the vet techs and admin team! They care for our two German Shepherds and our older cat, and we couldn’t be happier with OHVH. Everyone is so friendly and the doctors take plenty of time to talk to you and answer any questions. When we got our first dog, I was blown away by how long Dr. Christy spent talking to me about best care for the puppy and setting her up to be happy and healthy. One of our dogs is a recent rescue and was very nervous to be at the vet, and they gave him a bandana with calming pheromones and let him use a really fun treat mat while he was getting his vaccines and he did great! They spread out his visits so he wouldn’t be too overwhelmed and have worked really hard to help him feel comfortable there. We’ve also had to call them twice for emergencies and they have been extremely responsive and helpful. It really feels like they genuinely care about their pet patients, as well as the human owners! Could not recommend this clinic more highly.

Our family has come over the years for various issues with both dogs and cats and have found the staff, from reception to the techs, to be friendly and professional. The hospital itself is always clean and welcoming (they have coffee and snacks!) The doctors are knowledgeable and empathetic to our animals. I’ve never felt rushed or that I was not heard with my concerns. You’re in good, caring hands here!

We’ve been moving around the country the last few years and this is the first vet we’ve been to that everyone genuinely cares about the well being of my dogs. My oldest dog has had some problems for a while that every other vet has just brushed off. The first time I saw Dr Christy she came up with a plan for him and he has been a completely different dog since she helped him. I would continue going here no matter what the price for service is because of how amazing they are.

Such a great experience from start to finish. The receptionist was so friendly when I called to schedule Leo’s appointment. She made sure our records were sent over and that our new vet (Dr. Socks) was updated with our little boy’s condition. Dr. Socks took her time throughout the entire appointment and did a thorough exam on our pup. She’s helping us get to the bottom of Leo’s itching, and I truly trust her opinion and expertise. Also, the office is very clean and private (with two large dogs, private rooms are a must). Thank you for such a great experience, and we look forward to bringing our other dog in to see Dr. Christy!

Called for dental pricing for my dog and the lady was sweet and explained the process which was nice, but it blew me away when she said they start at $500. I was shocked as it’s over 2x the reg dental prices I got when I shopped around.

Dr Socks is the best! They are very gentle with my skiddish dog. They are always very helpful with my little problem dog whenever she has medical needs.

I really like this vet and office staff. the doctor spent a lot of time with my dog and was very compassionate and kind. The only reason I will not be going back is because I cannot afford to Pay over $650 for a teeth cleaning. unfortunately I have to find another vet for my dog who has dental issues and some respiratory problems that are being caused because of the teeth decay. Fantastic staff if you can afford it though

Went with my neighbor so she wouldn't be alone @midnight. Staff came right out with a gurney. They allowed us to go back to go see her and we were there for about 2 hours. Place was immaculate. Super pricey so I would suggest anybody with new pets to please look into pet insurance.
