Sunset Coast Veterinary Clinic Saint Joseph, Michigan

We have been with Sunset Coast since 2018. Both veterinarians and all the staff are compassionate and competent. They have wonderful in helping us care for our dogs and cats.

My cat is seriously the most well behaved when he is here, does everything the doctor says and shows no attitude, which is surprising for a stubborn cat lol!

I would not take my pet here, especially if you have to put it down. I'm writing this review on behalf of my Dad, who brought his Schnauzer in to be euthanized yesterday. The female vet was incredibly rude to him, and when she injected the dog he began screaming and seizing. My Dad was understandably upset and they took his dog to another room and didn't bring him back until he was very close to death. This is not supposed to be a painful experience for an animal and it was my Dad's first time having to do this. Not only did the staff botch the job, but they were not sympathetic to his pain or his grief. Lastly, they charge $20-$30 to put the dog's paw print on a card for the owner. In my area, the vets here do this part for free. I would stay away and find a place that's less concerned about the money and more concerned about the pet.

This is a very good veterinary clinic. The staff are friendly and supportive (when you lose a pet). They also won't make you pay for frivolous pet items.

Always appreciate Dr. Helgoth's attention to my cats. They might not appreciate it, but he's always so good with them and helpful to me. I never feel like it's a bother to ask questions.

The staff has been wonderful to work with over the years. It is hard to find a quality, affordable vet that has a good bedside manner as well.

Sunset Coast is amazing! They are always so helpful and able to get my cat in quickly if he is having a problem. They honestly care about all the pets they see. The techs and receptionist are so friendly. My cat has been seen by Dr Banghart and Dr Helgoth, they are both so caring and knowledgeable. Thank you to everyone who works here for helping my cat!

My dog had to have a torn cruciate ligament repaired. Dr. Helgoth is the only one in the area that offers the TTA surgical procedure. During the consult he was extremely thorough, professional and honest. I am pleased with the results so far and open lines of communication.

Dr Hellgoth and his team are amazing... Could not have found a better vet if we had tried! We came to him from another vet that was not familiar with Addison disease, and we could not be happier! These people are amazing!!!
